Do not come to Wittmeier. Go someplace else. I'm telling everyone I know to never step foot or tire in this place. I came in ready to buy a new car, but instead was treated like my business didn't even matter to them and they didn't have time to deal with me. After going through their credit application, they told me I had to wait a day to hear back about approval. So I left, and waited and waited.... to hear nothing back. I wasn't even able to reach the salesman 'Santos' after trying multiple times to contact him. I don't have the greatest credit due to student loan debt, but I do at least deserve the courtesy of a phone call if they didn't want to try and get me approved to buy a car. That next week I called Corning Ford, immediately spoke with someone and explained how I had been treated at Wittmeier in Chico and he took my information down and called me back within 5 minutes (no joke) with approval to come and get my new car. And that's exactly what I did! I am now the proud happy owner of a new Ford. Thanks for nothing Wittmeier! If I could rate zero stars I would. Don't even think about going here. Big mistake for us to drive all the way from Roseville, after talking to a sales rep, several times. We asked about two different trucks, on a Sunday (today)and were told they were there. Fast forward to Our deal. We ran credit (which is above 800) and got what we wanted for a trade-in. Then after going through all the hassle and waiting to sign docs, then they tell us they can't sell the car due to a recall. I get the potential safety factor issue (back seat air bag?). However, they said they found out about the recall Friday night. Why did they waste our time, when we called on Sunday. I know, I know, they want to scam you and sell you a car. Not happening here!! There have to be better dealers out there. They lost an almost all cash deal. Good job, good job, Wittmeir Ford! We won't be back and I will actively tell others not to bother. read more

Ask for Vince! He took great care of me and my wife. I compared prices in multiple places and he was still able to beat them. We drove three vehicles and one of them twice, so my wife could approve, and he showed no sign of urgency. It was a comfortable experience, especially as far as car buying goes. If you're honest and upfront with your wants and needs they will work hard for your business. Remember, being a car salesmen is not a walk in the park. They deal with people who expect them to be sneaky and dishonest. Why in the world would they want you to be unhappy? These days you have just as much access to information as they do. Bottom line, we got a great deal and had a smooth transaction at Wittmeier. I purchased a car from another dealer in January. Unfortunately this car had an issue when I purchased it that I was unaware of. Fortunately for me, it was still under Ford Warranty. I took my car to Wittmeier Ford, and had an oil change and asked them to check the computer module as I was having some shuddering issues. The oil change and tire rotation were awesome. They found that the clutch in my automatic transmission was bad, they reset the TCM module so it would drive a bit better - but they had to order the part, which was back ordered @ Ford. They expected it to take 4-6 weeks - the car was drivable but sometimes frustrating. They called me about 3 weeks later that the part was in. I immediately made my appt to take the car in and have it repaired - they did this swiftly and my car was ready by the end of the day. The only reason they don't get 5 stars as the "check in" process for vehicle repairs is a bit frustrating, and I had to wait 45 minutes for their shuttle to take me to work (so I was super late).. the shuttle left just as I was getting checked in, but they had only been open for like 5 minutes - so they took the first person wherever they needed to go and it took quite some time to get them back.. However, not all places offer a shuttle service, so all in all it still worked. Next time I will have a ride, or allow the excess time needed for the shuttle I will definitely keep bringing my vehicle here for oil changes and checks. read more

Here is another poor review for Wittmeier. I had to have the windshield of my Ford Escape replaced, which required a recalibration for electronic gizmos. When I was arrived, no one greeted me, but someone finally directed me to wait for the next service representative, Christian. This entails lurking outside a plastic partition until the rep is available. My appointment was at 9:30, and I was told my car would be ready by noon. At 12:15, I asked Christian about my car, and he said the technicians "couldn't make it work." They would keep trying, but they were not allowed to work through their one-hour lunch period; they would resume work after that. Around 3:00, Christian proudly announced that they had "figured it out." This was followed by the paperwork bumbling that other reviewers have described. I will never set foot in this establishment again. FYI, the service at Gridley Country Ford is great. read more

But then when you call them, at 2 in the afternoon, there's no answer and you go to voice jail. Brought my car in for a recall replacement for the airbags. A week prior to the appointment they asked if we needed a shuttle home. I said that I did. After dropping the car I waited for an hour for the shuttle. They guy skipped my name and loaded the shuttle with passengers. I went out to let him know I needed a ride. He seemed really inconvenienced about doing his job and all pissy about having to take one more person home. He then asked where I was going. I said up to paradise. He then said that the shuttle doesn't go out to paradise. I'm wondering why they didn't just look at my address when asking if I needed a shuttle. I'm not paying $20 for an Uber to go home, so I'm just getting the car and leaving. I wouldn't be so frustrated if the the shuttle driver didn't skip my name and act like a dick for having to do his job, which is probably one of the easiest jobs ever. I can attest to that, as I also drive Uber fairly often. So fuck this place. read more

My wife and I went to look at a new 2017 F250 Platinum this evening and two salesmen literally started running towards us. We were in our car and I started pulling away to look at a few lariats etc a little farther down. When all of a sudden a salesmen runs up to our car as we are moving and slides his hand from the rear quarter panel up to the passenger side mirror. I stopped the car, rolled down the window and he says "you can't drive through here". I didn't know what to say. I wasn't driving through the lot for a short cut. The lot was my destination and I was getting ready to stop, get out and look at the $60k-$70k trucks, which we have been in the market for for sometime. He said nothing else to us, just "you can't drive through here". A better approach should have been "hello, how can I help you? Maybe you could park your car over here and I can show you what we have that you might be interested in" We were hesitant about even going to this dealership after our first experience with them way back in 2011. We were test driving and in the market for a new f150 and we drove to the dealer in our 2001 Civic that we planned on keeping and not trading in. The salesmen kept insisting that he can give us.........$900 for the civic as a trade in. I thought he was joking. Nope. Dead serious. This went on for hours "we can sell you this f150 for bla bla bla and we will give you $900 for the civic." After I repeatedly told them I'm not trading in the civic especially because it was worth over $6,000. My wife and I eventually got pissed enough to just leave. We bought a new f150 from Crown Motors in Redding and ended up selling the civic ourselves for $6,300. Moral of the story, we will never even look at another vehicle here again. read more

If I could give a rating of -5 stars, that would be what I would give this establishment. We made a deal on a 2016 corolla, made a downpayment of $2000 and needed to provide additional info that we weren't sure we could get. We asked Jeff (finance mgr) if our deposit could just go right back on our debit card if the deal fell through and he said yes so we left (car stayed at Whittmier). 2 days later we notified him that we could not get the info they needed, so agreed to cancel the deal and asked him to process our refund. The money still was not in our account after 3 more days so we started calling, leaving numerous voicemails for Jeff but he never called back. Then We left 2 messages for the general manager and he never called back and still no refund. Finally I spoke to a sales mgr named Brad and he had to check, then called me back as he said he would and he managed to expedite the refund the next day - which was 1 1/2 weeks after the deal fell through. Kudos to Brad for being the only person there who has any concept of good customer service. read more

The staff was all very friendly and eager to help. My car salesman was Scott Houser, and he was wonderful. Talked me through the whole thing, made me feel comfortable and confident in my choice. Was willing to take the time (I took 2 days and nearly six hours at the dealership to decide) and was very patient. I do not trust them at all. I took my vehicle in for a specific repair on the rear end. It was an initial charge for $151.00 to run diagnostics on it. I expected this being that it was a dealership. They end up driving it around and experience exactly what I had already explained to them what the issue was on my rear end. They call me back explaining I need additional repairs on front end components and there will be an additional charge of $151.00 because the differential would need to be taken apart by their certified mechanic and the mechanic would not be in until the following business day after the weekend. They were trying to bill $300.00 before a single part was removed or inspected properly. They have poor business practices and I would not recommend trusting their evaluations on repairs for a fair price. read more

I have had my truck serviced here a few times and they were OK. Finding a good mechanic is next to impossible so you really have to be careful. Ask a lot of questions and always do your research if you are cash strapped to get repairs done. Advantage sometimes is a dealership will give you a limited warranty with some work done. read more

However the owner (man in charge) should know his product. I had taken my Ford Focus to Wittmeier to fix my TCM and few other issues, and man it took 4 times for them to fix it, mainly because there transmission guy was out for a week, and didn't think to have another one on standby so we had to wait a week and come out of pocket for a rental! 3 times later still didn't fix a damn thing, even claim that his best guy was installing a TCM that we had bought through a different company that apparently wasn't fitting in the car, so it took 4 times of coming back to tell us that, why didn't there so called best guy say anything about it the first time they claimed the car was fixed. Instead it cost us $2776 the first time and because there best guy failed to claim the TCM was too small for the car we had to come out of pocket and pay $680 to fix it!! I feel like a refund should've been offered or even the $680 should've came outta the company's pocket, all I can say is DO NOT GO THROUGH THIS COMPANY TO FIX ANYTHING! read more

They literally surrounded a senior citizen so that she'd be dumb enough to buy a used car with no warranty and 90,000 miles while the exact same car was at a neighboring dealership with only 36,000 miles on it and a warranty. If they were giving cars away I wouldn't go there and that's their loss,since we're buying a brand new Ford Explorer this year and I'd drive three hours just to avoid Wittmeier Ford and their predatory practices. We purchased a new truck and found it was pulling to the left. We took it in for repairs and when we got it back it still pulled. We took it in again this time they needed a part for the steering column. It took over night and it was to be ready the next morning. At 2 we called and they said it would be ready in 30 minutes. We were there in an hour. We waited another hour and 15 min. They kept telling my boyfriend to sit down and be quiet. They told him it was out in a test drive and we saw it leave the lot 5 min later. My BF caught them talking about him and laughing about him. We left without the truck it was not ready. Nobody called us to pick up the truck. The latest: I've consistently been disappointed with Wittmeier's customer service. The check-in process is terrible. No one greets you, there are no signs pointing one to where one needs to check in. And when I awkwardly stood by the Ford rep's desk waiting for him to finish with someone there was never an acknowledgement that I was there waiting. For the 20 minutes from when I arrived I was never once greeted by anyone telling me that there is a short wait. I've also been disappointed by appointment times. In the past I've made an appointment at 7:30am for simple service that should have taken just an hour or two but been told that the car probably wouldn't be ready until the evening. For simple service? What's the purpose of appointment times then? I figure it should be like the doctor--you come at the appointment time and you have a decent expectation that the car will be taken in around that time and that it should last a certain amount of time. My expectations have been lowered each time I go to Wittmeier. The only reason I went there this time was because there was a recall out on the vehicle. read more
