Rolled into a vacant parking spot when Sean came over and asked if I here for a smog. I said "Yeah" and he asked me to park in the awning and he'd get me hooked up. I also came prepared with some Micky D's breakfast cuz ya boy was hungry. So anyway, fast forward 10 minutes and while I'm munching on my McMuffins, Sean and I are talking casually about stuff. Kitchen Nightmares is on and Gordon Ramsay is going in on some crappy chef. Sean's like "I'm pretty sure your McDonald's breakfast sandwiches taste A-1 compared to that restaurant's crap right now." In between our conversation he politely asked me to sign off and review what he was charging me for, didn't try to upsell me, sell me anything useless, or any additional fluff. He also didn't rush me out of there either. So I able to take my time and enjoy the deliciousness I had brought with me. All in all I spent about 15-20 minutes tops. The process was fast and easy. 15/10 would chat and chill with Sean again. Oh yeah and my car was fine. And I paid about $45 for the whole thing (smog check). "It seems like quality has taken a dive man, all these shops are trying to screw you out of your money. You come in for brakes, they try and sell you a tune up with it. The smog shop I took my car to give me a detailed inspection report, letting me know everything wrong and what needs to be done to fix it. I called and set up an appointment at Boradori to get it worked on Upon bringing my car there, they let me know that I wasn't scheduled for any work to be done on my car, but that I scheduled for an estimate. They quoted me $200 and let me know that they would need my car for the whole day, even though over the phone i let them know I needed it back by 4pm. Apparently there is no way to get work done on your car without them performing their own estimate, even though I had the codes printed out and the inspection report totally done. They essentially wanted $200 to read the paper that I brought in for them. They also turned me away from my early morning appointment, and scheduled me for sometime next week. Will not be donating $200 to the shop to read codes & wont be going back

I was in and out really fast though, in a "jiffy" I suppose, which is why I went to them last oil change instead of my usual, Oil Changers. With Oil Changers, my rule is, "If there's a line, don't go." I was overdue and Oil Changers had lines every single time I drove by or called, so I decided to go ahead and get it done at Jiffy because I was going on a trip. Another plus with Jiffy is that you can choose to wait in the car or inside, and inside was much more comfortable for a very hot day. I also didn't realize they vacuum for you! This might have been something for them to mention if it's a new customer. I totally would have cleaned out my car first, which was a MESS, had I known. So I didn't even get that added value that would have at least cooled the burn of the high price. I needed to get a smog check for my car so I called GWS. GWS got me in an hour later, did the job…read morequickly while I waited, and sent me on my way with all the needed paperwork. Calling GWS for the smog check turned out to be a great stroke of luck. The shop is large and super clean. Waiting area is nice. The rate was reasonable. I'll do it again in two years!!!
