This service is a scam and they are just in business to take your money. They dont always show up and when you try and cancel they try to take more of your money to get out of the contract. Do not use! read more

Have had this service for over 1 yr and still have spiders both inside my home and all so outside. on the last two visits have specifically requested the service also include the interior due to seeing spiders. Oboth occasions the Tecnichian came to the perform the service and only performed exterior ( giving the bright of doubt to the Technicians and assuming communication breakdown between the main office and servicing technician). Notethat a follow up service is free of charge should you require it between the quarterLu service performed. I am paid in full until Aug 16. I called to cancel my service due to the ongoing pest issues and was offered a 50% discount to remain a customer. Was also advised that if I cancelled my contract they would not return to service my home under their "guarantee". Needless to say poor business model and elected to still cancel, partly now because of their bad fait. Higly recommend buying your own pesticide for $10.00 saving $179 quarterly and having better results. M. Thomas read more

No soliciting means do not ring my bell and then talk over me when I ask why you are disregarding a posted notice that I don't want people selling services at my door. Second time this has happened with this company and their representatives are aggressive and dishonest. Today's rep actually said he is trying to make his quota and pretended like I wasn't even talking. read more

Sales person came by 3 times to my front door with a no soliciting sign clearly displayed, then another when i was grabbing mail and my trash cans. Sales person proceeded to follow me up to my garage and when I told them no I have a pest control service already, kept insisting they service my neighborhood. I can tell you for a fact, nobody where on my street uses this company. I would think the sales person would take my lack of interest as a sign but obviously my non verbal ques were not good enough so it caused them to again come by a 4th time where I then had to become yell at them to leave my property as they are now trespassing. Never have I had such aggressive and relentless solicitor interaction. I will be calling all my neighbors to NOT use this service at all and will be calling the Troy Michigan location. read more

Do not use this service. They tie you into a contract and do not fulfill their end of the contract - eliminating pests. It's costing me $300 to break the contract for stopping very poor service. Don't waste your money with this company. Trust me... read more

I strongly recommend, at least in the Grand Rapids area. I usually don't give door knockers the time of day, but a young man caught me in the yard. He was super nice, super professional, and we had a black ant problem. We were leaving, so I signed up and they sprayed the exterior the same evening. When the ant problem inside continued, I sent a late night email. I got a call back the next morning. They were super nice in sending a man out (Tim Sams). He spent a lot of time in my house, and found the source, a colony under the slider door jam. He sprayed, and got them. He also was thorough in explaining how they build their colonies in rotted wood and suggested I replace the wood under the door. He also sprayed for carpenter bees that had been in the eves above my porch. Every person I have dealt with so far with Ecoshield has been super nice and professional. Maybe other people have had problems, but our experience has been 5 out of 5. read more

not a legit business, not BBB accredited. this service does not work! The materials you can buy at Home Depot will work better than what they perform. Total scam read more

This company is sneaky. The sales kid they sent was deceiving. Initially what was discussed and what they actually charged were two totally different quotes. I haven't noticed a positive change in pest control since they've sprayed. Not only is the service sub par but I've asked for months to be removed from service. They keep showing up regardless of request to cancel. They charge outrageous fees and won't let you cancel without charging a $300 cancelation fee. I don't trust them. They bait and switch you. They also use a call center overseas to handle all customer service which feels like a pyramid scheme. It's fraud if you ask me. read more

Will never recommend this company. In fact will make sure to inform as many people to stay away. Signed up for their services and disappointed from the start. Communication is a joke. Over promise/under deliver and over priced. Be aware. Don't sign the contract. read more

Another update. This company is unreal still trying to bill me $275. That's how they treat customers who cancel them after 2 years of service. Not to mention the add on mosquito service to my plan. The amount of money I spent on this company. Stay away. Do not sign anything with them. They will stick it to you after you leave. Bad business read more

I would give no stars if possible. I live in Westland, MI. Last week we had 2 representatives from this company walk around. The first ignored our no soliciting sign and still tried to give me a pitch when I said I was not interested. His "partner" that was just down the street came by about 4 hours later and tried again. Today, a different representative rang the door and then proceeded to play in the yard for a min until they left. All of these interactions are now on my Ring recordings. Will be tough to play the "we didnt notice the no soliciting sign" card in court when it was 3 separate representatives. read more

Definitely would not recommend this company. They contract for one year with applications every other month. In reality the contractual agreement is for 8 applications which obviously exceeds a year. Other than my first application every service began with "we can't perform our normal treatment today". Of course the monthly fee does not change. I ultimately canceled because of a high pressure sales call I received after my fourth application when they informed me I had a mouse infestation. Upon further investigation I found this to be false and confronted them about it. They blamed the employee that performed my services saying he misreported. I read the report he submitted and no mention of it. They are now threatening to send me to a collection agency because I am disputing the $200.00 fee they charge which they claim is the "discount" I received for agreeing to a year of service. Do the math people it doesn't add up. read more

I would not recommend this company!! It is a scam for the elderly. They make them sign contracts that charge $150 at cancellation and overcharge for services they did not even provide!! My mother told the salesman that my father had Alzheimer's and still they had him sign something different than what they said!! Avoid at all costs!! She did not know until I got involved. read more

This company is a total scam! Going to peoples door, saying one thing, but having them sign for something else. and they are doing nothing to make it right. Just expecting money. I'm disgusted with how they operate. Do not use them!! read more

Beware of the $150 cancellation fee! We still saw many spiders after our first spray so we decided to go with another company. Ecoshield charged us $150 to cancel, even during coronavirus. This is a really unethical company and a terrible way to make money off people. read more

Ethan was absolutely amazing. He does above and beyond! What a fantastic worker and such a gentleman. I would recommend him to anyone!

This place is absolutely terrible. Sales kid was trained to use social leverage - mentioned neighbors using it, etc. Seemed like an okay idea at the time when they knocked a bunch off the price. They tell you to ignore the increase of traffic for the first few months (conveniently you can't cancel the contract after 90 days). By the time we noticed the service made ZERO impact on the pests we were unable to get out of our contract. Now we wait for it to expire paying every few months for a service that does nothing. read more

I have used this company since May 2021. Always courteous and knowledgeable. Some folks have complained about having to spend "thousands" . That is not true as it is a specific set fee done quarterly. My issue was ants and wasps and they have done a fantastic job. Garrett was the service provider today and he explained several items to me, was very knowledgeable of the company and what he was doing today. I recommend EcoShield Pest Control. If you folks have questions or do not like the service, pick up the phone and speak to a manager! Pretty simple! read more

***SCAM ALERT*EcoShield Pest Solutions*** We hired EcoShield to treat for insects outside our house. We are on an automatic application plan. We told the sales person from November to April we would not want an application due to inaccessibility to certain areas of our yard. Today they told me I cannot reschedule to April and that they would charge me regardless of application or not. read more

This was my experience with this company. I was told that I would pay $189 for the entire year for five pest control applications. I did not receive a copy of the signed contract until after I called to find out why I was charged $189 for the second treatment. They did not give me the signed contract on the date that I signed up and they "conveniently" had the wrong email so I couldn't read it or cancel within the 3 days. However, they had my phone number so they could have called when the email did not go through. Yesterday, the company office told me that the charge is $189 for each treatment and not $189 for the entire year. This was the scam - I was working in my front yard and "Jordon" from Ecoshield approaches me with a clipboard. He tells me that his company is in the neighborhood spraying and he can offer me a "group rate" because he is in the area. Normal price for a 12 month contract is $339 (5 applications), but he can offer it for $189 because he is in the neighborhood doing applications. If I cancel - then I would have to pay the $150 difference. I asked him several times if $189 was for the entire year - and he tells me it is $189 for the year. He gives me a Service Contract Review sheet to sign based upon what he told me from the papers on the clipboard. Then about 45 minutes later, two technicians come and spray my house. They tell me exactly the same information (5 applications and $189 for the year) and I electronically sign the contract. Shame on me for not actually reading the document at the time I signed it. I did not receive the signed contract electronically until after the second treatment 45 days later when I called to find out why I was charged $189. I cancelled with the company and paid the $150 cancellation fee. They told me that there must have been a miscommunication between me and "Jordon" and they don't know why the email was incorrect. Jordon was pretty slick in his sales pitch and was misleading on what we had signed up for. read more

EcoShield Pest Solutions - Here is Jordan's "Group Rate" Card he left with me. - Pest Control Near Me - Wixom, Michigan

Don't be fooled! I was so impressed with the original salesman and the team of techs who came for the initial spray of indoor/outdoor. Never saw any decrease in pest activity. Called a few weeks ago for next visit to be moved up and gave a second chance (promised the visit would be free if I was not happy)-- nothing improved, and ended up having to pay another $150 to cancel service and was charged another $169 for the second visit despite being told it would be a free touch up.. I was also promised by Blayne (salesman who knocked on my door to sell me service) that all insects, including mosquitos would be covered in the policy. Come to find out, when I asked tech yesterday - I was given a new proposal and contract for an additional $75/month. .. so a total of $488 in two months for ZERO value and a bunch a scam artists. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I will be warning anyone I can. read more

I would give them 0 stars if i could. Techs would come either hours before or hours after the scheduled time slot. Techs would not do the cleanings that they said they would be doing (inside/removing spider webs). Treatment didn't work, and my property still had an overwhelming amount of bugs to the point where I could not even spend considerable time outside on my deck. Lastly the salesperson Ryan lied saying we could cancel at anytime without any fees, just to find out they would be charging us a cancellation fee as we were "breaking our contract." When I called Ryan to ask them about this he said he would call me back tomorrow, and is now ignoring me. read more

DO NOT ANSWER YOUR DOOR !!! I would NEVER use this company . They came into my sub , door to door ( that should have been my first red flag) and offered services . I paid and had them spray. They then charged me $150 for not continuing services with them which, to me, is a SCAM! If I don't want yo continue service with you , after you knocked on my door and did a one time spray, don't try and scam me out of my hard earned money . This is how they make their money. They are not reputable , they sucker you into service and I wish I would have read the reviews before saying yes. read more

Doug loves to copy/paste that cookie cutter response saying to contact their customer service to have resolved immediately, but just like every other customer that has replied regarding it, it's nonsense and disingenuous. I e-mailed soon after he posted it and of course, never got a response and obviously wasn't surprised considering they're still trying to figure out what the "reply" button's purpose is. Shockingly, this crooked company has knocked on my door twice in the last week with the same scripted, lying sales pitch that they used 2 years ago ("we were just in the neighborhood doing a bunch of your neighbors' homes, including your next door neighbor so & so, and figured we'd offer our services to you as well"). It's 100% a lie and I confirmed it by asking the neighbor he pointed to and actually named by first name. So they're definitely doing their homework by looking up homeowners' names via the web, subdivision directory, etc... as a part of their sales pitch. Aside from that, two other pest control companies knocked on my door within the past couple of weeks with the same exact sales pitch, though the names of each of those companies were different than Ecoshield. It looks like this is basically a recent scam/sham of that industry and their way of covering their rears when they encounter an irate resident who calls them out for ignoring the big "NO SOLICITING" signs at the entrance of my subdivision is to mention neighbors, especially by name. read more

Beware of this company! My contracted ended and I wanted to make sure that my credit card was taken off their reoccurring charges. I called to confirm this and they said my account can't be closed until the last spray on March 7th so call us after this date and so I did. They said no the date to close the account is now on March 21st to confirm your account is closed please call back on that date so I did. Now they are telling me it will be the following week to close the account. I basically called their bluff and said you keep telling me to call the next week on and on and every time I called to confirm my account will be closed, I am transferred to some call center overseas. My contract is done and they won't close my account. The customer service is awful! Yesterday they called and said they want 200.00 for closing my account after the contract ended. They keep texting me messages saying that I need to update my credit card information with them! I don't understand how a company can stay in business when I fulfilled everything on the contract, but once your contract ends they continue try and scam you! read more

I purchased Echo Shield for my primary residence and small rental property my family owns. I decided to cancel my primary residence halfway through the subscription because Echo Shield was insisting on coming to spray the exterior of my property in the middle of winter and then charging me for the service. There isn't a need to spray in the winter in Michigan, there are no pests... I tried to reactivate my service for the spring/summer, but Echo Shield now wants a termiantion fee of $300 in order to reactivate my service. The customer service is terrible. Everytime I call I am transfered to some call center overseas who just requests the $300 termination fee. Once my contract is up for my rental property I will be canceling my contract for that property as well. Also, it is not necesary for a pest control company to spray five times a year for bugs... especially during the winter months in Michigan. Even when Echoshield would spray, we still had pests. I would not recomend this company for pest control services, too unorganized and the price for their service is vastly overpriced. read more

This company came door to door and I agreed to have them use environmentally friendly means of bug control and yard control for mosquitoes. I was told it was a half price program to boost their presence in the are and I could cancel at any time. They showed up and did the initial spray of the house and the bugs were not phased. We have white moths and box elders that are in our basement and upstairs occasionally. We just moved in a year ago and are trying to get it under control. They came a second time and sprayed outside and they bugs still have been a nuisance. I called and canceled. Now they call me and leave messages to call them back about billing. I called after work at 5:50 waited on hold after going through the call tree got on the phone with someone at 5:58... mysteriously when they checked something I was disconnected. When I called back I got VM. They text me, call me during my work hours, leave messages and wanting me to take my time to call them back and wait on them. When I reply to the texts to communicate my issues, it replies with "this is an automated test service, please call....blah blah. I have called and don't have time to wait on hold again. To: EcoShield Pest Control RE: Notice to Cancel service effective immediately Account number: 708298 One of your guy was here around 11 AM to perform the first application and I am not happy with your service. Josh said you guys would be clearing the spider webs, clearing the mud wasp nests, spraying all the floors .. .etc. But Anthony Littlejohn who performed the first application was hurrying to complete the work just outside and leave. When I asked what about inside, he said there was no need if I had no issues (which is different from what was promised and what is being done). I insisted on completing the inside and he just did the kitchen and family room on the first floor and did not bother doing the second floor. He said spraying all over was not safe, but John said the chemicals what you use were safe. I asked Anthony to spray garage too as it has lot of spiders but he didn't do that. I went behind the house and the mud wasp nests are still there and even the spider webs above my front door are not taken care of. Anthony said it would take him around 45 minutes to do the whole thing but he was here only for around 10 - 12 minutes and left. So this is to let you know of my intention to cancel your service effective immediately. I am exercising my right to cancel within 3 business days from the day of the initial service. Left a voice mail to Josh regarding the same. Please send me a confirmation email for the cancellation. Suman Kumar. read more
