What's sweet and adorable outside swiftly becomes an emergent attic fire all because "cutesy snuggles" the squirrel decides to chew through your electrical wires. I called A&D after hearing horrifically invasive sounds from my ceiling on my second floor, the sorts of noises no homeowner wants: like someone pushing bags around, scritching and shuffling. I wasn't about to poke my head in the hard-to-access attic access in my kid's closet, okay? Happily I paid Nick at A&D to come diagnose the issue. To compound matters, squirrels wanted to take residence in April during prime squirrel breeding and nesting season. Clearly having a freeloader and her clutch of babies is cute only in faerie tales, not when I'm trying to work from home and freaking out about the scratching in my walls. A&D offered an extremely competitive quote for humane service trapping my unwanted guests, relocating them, and repairing the damage to my shingles caused by tenacious little claws. They advised me about options other companies quoted -- and that they weren't necessary, although they offered the same product. For that honesty alone, I was pretty much sold. Their service was 10 percent of the cost of two other competitors, for the same general work, and they came with the same guarantee. Well, two days later our traps caught nothing, Nick and his coworker had been out daily and they ascertained it was safe to seal up the house. They recommended guards on our siding to prevent further friends, and it turns out our squirrels were escaping a raccoon who chased them onto the roof. The damage to a 3-year-old shingling job was repaired like new and reinforced to make sure the only roommates in my house are the ones I choose: my spouse and my child. They were great about coming out to inspect when a second wayward squirrel tried to hop in through the fascia -- for no good reason! -- and nailed all that down too. Look, save yourself a few dollars and work with A&D. They were professional, their call centre/receptionist outstanding about reaching out and returning calls when needed, and everyone was a top notch professional. They're a family company in business this long for a reason: they really are fantastic to work with. I would recommend them in a heartbeat, and I don't do that often.
