On May 14 around 7 PM in the evening a young gentleman came to my door, his name is Landon Herrick. He is working for a pest company called GreenIX He had a nice little picture of all the kind of bugs that they're gonna exterminate for me and get rid of the ants and they'll do the inside of my house and the outside very convincing. So while in my living room, I looked up on Yelp with the Revue of the company was. 1 star I asked Landon what kind of scam are you trying to run on me? He quickly pulled up Google reviews on his phone and he showed me generally 4 Star reviews. I told him that I was very leery now of his company because I trust Yelp and that I'm a little elite reviewer on Yelp. I then asked if I'm not happy with your company. How soon can I terminate this contract? Landon told me within three days. Now I have to admit in the Yelp reviews it discussed how difficult it is to cancel your contract and to avoid high penalties and fines. I know that I have a very good attorney and if they refuse to cancel this contract if their service sucks, I won't hesitate to sue them So after I signed the contract and Landon leaves, I get an email that tells me that the technician will be at my home on May 15 between 8 and 10 AM. My wife said that's fine because they don't have to leave till around 11:30 or noon and that should give this technician plenty of time to do his work. Now wouldn't you think that the very first time you go to a new customer's home you would certainly keep your appointment time? This guy showed up around 1145 just before my wife had to leave. I told Monica have him leave and not do anything and I will be canceling the Contract. So I'm on my lunch break at work it's 45 minutes. I called the company. I'm placed on a long hold and then finally someone named Angel answer the phone and I told her all my issues with the poor customer-service I got on day one and she said well I need to talk to my Account executive to cancel the contract and put me on hold. I was disconnected I call back I get another representative who pretty much says the same thing you have to talk to one of our Account executives and she put me on hold. I was on hold for like about five minutes and the same girl comes back and says we're having a high volume of calls right now. Can you call later? I said well what about you guys call me? She said yes we can do that and I said OK please call me at 3:30. This escapade ate up my 45 minutes of lunch. So at 3:30 does my phone ring? No. At 3:35 does my phone ring? No. At 3:40 does my phone ring? No. At 3:45 does my phone ring? No. At 3:45 PM I call Landon and tell him this is some of the worst customer-service I've ever seen and I'm sorry but we won't be doing business in the future and you're gonna get a terrible Yelp review from me I didn't get a call from GreenIX so again I call and go through the same representative telling me after being on hold for 4-5 minutes now I have to go on hold again and wait for an account executive. I failed to get this lovely lady's name, but all she did was argue with me about not canceling my contract!! coincidentally that's exactly what the previous Yelp Revues said. I told her quit trying to resell your company. There's nothing you can say or do to me other than "sir. Your contract is canceled" that I want to hear and AGAIN she tries to re-sell her company and why I shouldn't break my contract, but never said I'm gonna take care of it, sir. Have a nice day. Now I get very angry and this peach of an account executive says sir I am gonna have to put you on hold because your language is just nothing I have to listen to and I said of course just cancel my damn Contract I don't wanna hear from you again either and then she placed me on hold. I hung up Hours later, I get an email that my contract is canceled. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH GREENIX!! Save yourself
