This is unbelievable cruelty. The police department and the DNR have been notified as it is illegal in the state of Michigan to leave a trapped animal in a trap for over 24 hours. So today Joe came out to treat my home and yard over this intense ant infestation I am dealing with. I told Joe I am a betting man and I have spent about 500.00 in over the counter treatments and alls I have been able to do is to get them to move from one part of the yard to another. I am sure in their "90 day guarantee" these bastard ants will rise again and Joe said that the stuff they use is 10x more potent than what I buy at the store and he won't have to come back... I called Security Pest Control for two issues: I wanted to spray the house for bugs (centipedes and spiders) and we had hole in an outside fascia board that let a squirrel move into our wall. Clayton arrived to our appointment right on time and was warm, fast and professional. Since he came during quarantine, he arrived at the door wearing a mask and gloves, and he was super friendly and amiable. He sprayed our basement, main level, upstairs and outside of our house in about an hour, very quick. And then he installed a one-way wire door onto the outside hole to get rid of the squirrels--it lets them come out of the wall but not go back in. He'll come back next week to remove it and temporarily patch the hole until we can call a handyman. All in all, working with Clayton and Security Pest Control was an excellent experience. They're fast, responsive and a good value; all my calls were returned promptly and Clayton showed up right on time for the appointment. (Which is not always the case with other companies, sad to say.) I was also delighted to learn that SPC is a family-owned business, which is probably what makes it great. I'll definitely use them again for next season's bug spraying, and I'll be recommending them to my friends and neighbors as well. read more

I have been staying at my son's home during the lock down but came home yesterday. To my horror,when I turned on the dishwasher last night, a little brown mouse ran across my kitchen floor. I always have appreciated how professional this team is. He had a mask on when he arrived and quickly looked over the situation. As I am in a condo, he contacted the onsite property manager and sent pictures of potential issues for both my own home and my adjacent neighbor. Why would any company agree to come out without having the proper remedy to a situation? Clayton came out to my house 5 days before Christmas. He was aware that I knew where the "animal" came in and how it was walking between my first and second floor and how it had chewed through my cable line, which I fortunately didn't use. When he was at my house, he told me he ran out of one way doors, which is what should have been used, but would put in poison cubes, which if the squirrel ate, would probably die between the floor boards, rot, and smell bad. This was my only choice at the time, and I was freaked out about the destruction the squirrel could do. I was told he would come back after Christmas if it didn't die and put the "door" in. So, he put in 6 pieces of poison and it cost me $200 and the squirrel never touched it. Fortunately I was able to see it as it came out and secured the opening with some tin I had. I would never recommend this company. Clayton was very nice, but that was it. read more
