We currently have a contract with EcoShield so they do quarterly service. On Feb 6, we had Frankie come and service our property. He was so friendly and very customer-service oriented. We are really happy with his outstanding performance! read more

Ignored no soliciting sign, and when I asked if they could not read said sign, they claimed they don't speak English, then laughed and said just kidding and didn't care. I can't imagine they would treat their customers any better or be good about reading instructions to their chemicals if they struggle to.read the no solicitation sign 3 feet from where they were standing on the front door! read more

I want to warn others about Ecoshield. Initially, the sales person was very charismatic, persuasive and I signed up for one year. My house was treated while I was gone and I recived text message that there was a concern about my crawlspace due to insulation being torn down, evidence of activity. The tech advised that I may want to scedule an appt for member of their team to inspect crawl space which I did. I was quoted 18,000, yes you are seeing that right, 18,000 to remove insulation, spray, fix entry points etc. The saleman was a hard sell, told me I had rats, they made tunnels, he saw after birth I guess it was effective because I scheduled the work for 3 days out in order to get more information before going through with such an expense. Im a senior that was a lot of money. I decided to get another quote which I did , that quote was 8,000 The third quote was 1,000. Ecoshield tried to take advantage of me. I plan to break my contract with them. read more

The pest control itself was fine, but their customer service is terrible. We contacted the company to cancel our account because we were moving, and because we were cancelling prior to the end of our contract, we had to email proof that we were moving out of the area. We did so immediately. We received an email asking for more information, which we responded to. We called three times to confirm the cancellation, and each time the person we spoke to said that we had not cancelled and they had no knowledge of this. We were sent emails from the company repeatedly saying that they needed to speak with us in person. Each time we called, we were on hold for no less than 30 minutes. We finally received confirmation of our cancellation after two weeks of frustration and wasted time. read more

Faulty sales tactics, was told one price and they just started up charging. I would not recommend this service. . read more

NEVER USE Ecoshield! they consistently violet their written contract agreements, cancel scheduled servicing appointments, shows up to do absolutely nothing, if they even show up at all, then sends you a bill for $200. Not to mention these weirdos feel like they can just enter your property without permission, if you're home or not. if you have them as a pest control servicer, I highly recommend documenting everything and get ready to make a lawsuit. they will scam you into making deals and smaller payments and refuse to cancel services without a fat fine. read more

Warning: Stay Away from EcoShield! We were tricked into signing up after the salesman promised to Venmo back the $180 startup fee if we changed our minds. He never did. He lied repeatedly -- about refunding us, about stopping by with cash, about servicing our neighbor (he wasn't), and even claimed it was his brother's small business. None of it was true. We have camera/audio proof. Now they're demanding a cancellation fee just days later. Can't reach anyone by phone. Shady tactics and zero accountability. Avoid at all costs. read more

Excellent company. Especially technician Belinda Arrell. I will definitely use thi again.

Do NOT be fooled by the sales guy's promises. He said the advantage of ecoshield is how much time they spend working at your house. Then the actual tech shows up early and spends a fraction of the time my previous exterminators did. i had more bugs than ever. And I didn't pay attention to the contract so I got a cancellation fee. That's clearly the only thing keeping this company afloat. DO NOT USE I rated 1 because you can't do zero. read more

Do not do business with this company. They are liars and scammers. Horrible experience, they do a poor job each service, the customer service team does not communicate with the techs. They always ask to leave detailed notes for expectation of the visit and areas needing dewebbing/spraying, then when the techs show up, they are never aware of said notes and do a bare minimum job. They also always want to schedule for inconvenient times and are inflexible for rescheduling. When you do reschedule for a time that works, they just change the day and keep the time, but they do not tell you this (has happened multiple times) which is extremely frustrating. read more

the door to door sales person not only made up a story about "being in the neighbourhood", he left the gate unlatched after leaving. "the little ants" are everywhere, that's just how the ecosystem works. read more

Absolute waste of money. Didn't do anything. I didn't see any kind of difference. Bad customer service as well! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

A door-to-door salesperson, whom ignored 2 "no solicitors" signs, knocked on my door an hour after sundown. They did not announce or introduce themself. But said they're doing work down the street and hadn't had the opportunity to meet me. Then asked who services my house. After pointing out the "No Solicitors" signs, they said "no I didn't see, it's dark" and kept going with the sales pitch. I told them, "I'm good and thank you." I came on yelp to verify they're a legit business. From the other reviews, looks like this door knocking and ignoring the signs are common practice for them. I recommend avoiding using businesses that fail to see how this is tactless and completely oblivious. Update 7/11/2023: Just got another door to door sales man saying he didn't look at the "No soliciting" signs. His response was "I'm not soliciting, I just want to know who's taking care of that for you." Apparently he doesn't know what soliciting is... read more

I would never recommend this company. They scammed a 78 year old lady who was having chemo and radiation treatment for cancer, out of 18k plus, to just get rid of rats under her home. When we contacted them, they refused to provide exactly what they did or explain how just to remove rats cost that much. They also said they would never scam an elderly person, which they did. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE A SCAM. read more

Do not use the service I asked for a one time removal of spiders and then a follow up visit and they planted a fake contract and charge me for a years worth at $192 each quarter. It was absolutely ridiculous. They came around with a big swiffer on a stick and applied some essential oils for $192 When I tried to cancel, I was hit with a $200 cancellation fee for a contract. I never asked for. Beware of them coming to your door with a handheld device, you sign the handheld device and there's a complete contract on there that you're not aware of signing. read more

Mason Pennington did an outstanding, thorough, professional, 5 star service today. He was very professional and knowledgeable. We came totally prepared knowing in advance what we needed done. My brother had EcoShield for several years. After he died, I called in June to cancel the service. They requested that I even send them his death certificate, which I did. (They were the only service I canceled that required his death certificate, by the way.) Despite that, several months later, I received a bill for services in August. I called and spoke to someone who told me the account was still active but fortunately I had email proof that I'd sent the death certificate months earlier. They also asked if it was possible to talk to my brother to confirm it was OK to talk to me. (!) I told them no because he was dead, which is why I was calling. They then wanted to add me to the account which I told them no since it was being closed.I was transferred and put on hold a number of times before finally successfully getting someone to cancel it, delete the balance and send me a confirmation that it was done. read more

I used Ecoshield for a year and had ants the whole time, they sprayed poison all around my house every other month but the ants continued on. After a year, my contract was over and it was still very difficult to cancel my service. Very poor customer service. Recently The bug guy Jason who sold me the worthless service came to my door and knocked really loudly despite clear no solicitor signs, I opened the door and recognized Jason, and I quickly said no thanks. I'm not interested. I closed the door. He continued to knock and loudly call my name. The next day my mailbox was crawling with ants??? Coincident?? Strange?? read more

Do not give them your credit card - after 3 months, still being charged even after confirmation that the service stoped.

I feel like I joined a cult!!! I was not happy with the service from the beginning, but it's impossible to cancel. They never treated our whole property, just parts. I also never really saw a reduction in bugs, and they definitely didn't even make a dent in the rat population. The one bright spot was Pete - he did an inspection around the house and in the crawl space. He sent me photos and told me some things to fix. I feel like the star is for him - I wish I could give zero stars to the rest of the company! Now that my year contract is up - I have told them I want to cancel. I told someone this on the phone, I told the sales guy when he stopped by, I told them by email AND text. They still will not leave me alone! They call me EVERY DAY! Today, I have finally had to just block their number! Beware of this company, once you try, they will not leave you alone! read more

We have been using ecoshield for a few years now. They are always polite and come out when we call, but their services have become completely ineffective. In the past, they were using a different formula that was working, but about 6 months ago when they came out, they said it was a new product that they were using. It doesn't work. Now we have spiders constantly in the house. We are paying for a service that they are no longer providing. I want my money back because I did not receive what I paid for. read more

EcoSheild has a quality product and very good technicians that are trustworthy, knowledgable and timely. Tadas Jasinskas did a great job on our home while we were under construction, and had a new puppy in the house. He gave us all the info we needed to decide what to do, and assured us of the safety. He worked with us to make sure the puppy was out of the way, and he was not daunted by the construction debris and scaffolding he had to work around. We were cautious about starting with a treatment product, but are glad that we did. Our primary concern was small ants, that invaded our yard, kitchen and bathroom. So long as EcoSheild comes quarterly, we no longer see the ants. We raise bees and have pets, and the product has been safe. read more

I asked for this service to be rescheduled and your company came anyways. I do not feel like I should have been charged for a service I clearly didn't want today. These guys are terrible. Find someone else. They go door to door trying to get people to sign up and their services don't work. They have "tried" to get rid of my mice problem for years. It never gets fixed and they charge an "annual exclusion renewal", except they have NOT excluded the mice! Then they tried to charge me twice in a year for the renewal because they "excluded other areas". I'm really not sure how it's an exclusion if you don't close up all the entry points at once... kick them off your door step when they show up. read more

These guys came to our door last September trying to sell us pest control services that we don't need. They bypassed our "NO Soliciting - NO Trespassing sign" and did not have the required company ID and City vendor permit displayed, which is a violation of two separate Seattle ordinances. We filed a complaint with the City: SMC 6.260.050 (D) Unlawful acts - The complainant said they have 'No Soliciting' signs at both a shut gate as well as at their door and the agent bypassed it. SMC 6.260.090 and SMC 6.260.100 Residential Seller - Agent card and License Display - per the complainant, the agent had a shirt with the company logo but no agent card or license display. Apparently, the city send an inspector out to their Tukwila office and reviewed the requirements with them. Then why was I not surprised when - a coupe of months after this - I was visiting with a friend on Capitol Hill and an EcoShield vendor came to their door peddling the same service, again with no ID or vendor permit on display. Today, nine months later, EcoShield came to my door again, trespassing on our property to sell us services we don't want or need. It is clear from this experience, and the reviews of many others here, that this fly-by-night company just doesn't care. If we had insects pouring out of every electric outlet and an attic full of rats, we still would never call EcoShield. read more

I ended my contract early because my bee issue was never fixed. Plus, I had an ant problem as well. I was promised it would be resolved several times. I had to buy several ant traps to help my issue on my own. The reason I hired them was to eliminate the bees , ants, and mosquito issue. Save your money and spray it yourself and buy traps. Wasted a few hundred on this company for nothing, and now they want me to pay to cancel my contract. read more

Terrible job. We signed a contract with them for a year and they never were able to get rid of ants inside our house. We had them come back and retreat the house and still no success. We called to terminate the contract and they went on and on about how we had a contract and had one more quarterly visit. We said "no, you did not perform your end of the contract so we are terminating it". They kept telling us we needed to have them come out one more time, we said "no, we're done". We hung up, they called us 2 more times to try and talk us into continuing with them. They were quite obnoxious. I thought I had terminated them the last time they were at our house because of the ants still everywhere, even in our upstairs bathroom where there isn't any food! Then we got a notice today that they were coming out this weekend! I would not hire these people and do not recommend them. read more

Never had an insect problem. They came to my door with a sales pitch, I said sure let's prevent some insects. Then insects started coming (ants). I thought no problem EcoShield is coming soon - nope, didn't do a thing. I brought it up and they sprayed "extra" inside and out, didn't matter (was probably water). I don't know what they're doing exactly but it doesn't work. This is a scam. I stopped using them and ordered some cheap stuff off the internet that takes 10 minutes and does a far better job. I'm guessing they rely on customers who just sign up for stuff and never cancel. There might be better companies out there, or maybe they're all scams, not sure... but if you have just a little time every month to tackle the problem yourself it'll save you a ton of money and frustration. read more

Their salesmen are aggressive to the point of being abusive. It's gotten so bad that my neighborhood warns each other when they come around. As for their products...Pyrethrin (derived from chrysanthemum, but derivation is not the same as safe; cyanide is derived from almonds) affects creatures besides ants, including bees. It is also highly toxic to cats. The product is bad for many creatures we rely on to keep the ecosystem healthy. When I tried to talk to one of their aggressive door-to-door salesmen about their product, he became antagonistic and rude. They don't know much about what they're pushing, and they aren't polite. "No," doesn't seem to be in their vocabulary. (For ants, try a borox-based product. It works, is cheaper, and doesn't destroy the ecosystem.) read more

Please be aware with this company. I had a contract for 1 year that i cancelled after the completion of term. They still claim that they performed service after the contract demanded 150$ for that service. Service itself was below par, there was no noticeable impact either. AVOID THIS COMPANY. read more

"Eddie" the soliciting EcoShield salesman working in South Tacoma on Junett on 4/24/25 around 1pm, was absolutely abhorrent and jarring to interact with. While I was working with a *disabled* woman's human reactive dog, I asked him several times to give us space on the sidewalk in front of her home, and that the dog may bite, and to please not encroach on his space. He yelled that it was a public sidewalk and if he bites, that's on him, and laughed while forging towards us. As a SALESPERSON, wearing his WORK UNIFORM, soliciting door to door, what an absolutely disgusting show of character and representation for your company.
