A sales rep from this company, named Dylan or something similar, came to my home to advertise their services. They walked past two "no soliciting" signs and rang my ring doorbell. I did not answer. They then started banging on the side of my house very loudly. Not only were they extremely unprofessional, what they did is illegal. It is illegal to solicit at a private residence in King County with a "no soliciting" sign posted. I've reported them to the county for breaking this law. I would never want a pest company who breaks the law to regularly service my home. Before the company replies asking for my address so they can add it to their "do not contact list," no, I'm not giving you my address for you to store in some database of yours. My address is already "no contact" because of my "no soliciting" signs. Just follow the law. Hope you enjoy the fine from the county. read more

Run from this company. Doesn't fix issues. They refused to return when the issues were not addressed, instructing me to wait (well past their BS 3-day buyer's remorse period. After weeks, they offered to reschedule the next paid service to address the unresolved issue, which constitutes a breach of the contract. When you tell them you want to cancel the service, they threaten you with the hidden cancellation fee that the salesperson never mentioned. There are better companies than EcoShield that actually value customers and follow through on their promises. read more

Door to door sales are sketchy AF. Even worse is when you have No Solicitation signs visible at your home and sales people ignore them. I don't have pest problems at my house but I know who I won't be contacting if I ever do in the future. read more

I signed up with EcoShield two months ago - they said that if I broke my contract with their competitor they would pay the fee. They also said that they would treat my crawl space for rodents. They have never refunded my fee for breaking my contract even with numerous calls and emails. They sent an employee that was not certified to do the crawl space and when I finally got someone to do the crawl space their only recommendation was $1600 extra!! (My home is only a year old!). I would not recommend this company. read more

The technician and several workers arrived to create a rodent barrier into our house. He showed me the several products that could be used and explained how they would be used on the house soffits, and let me choose which I would prefer. Other areas on the exterior were also filled. When finished I walked around property and the technician pointed out what had been done. I appreciated the professionalism of this technician and workers he directed. read more

EcoShield agents have been in my neighborhood since moving in Nov 2022. The first guy was really personable, but we did not subscribe tot he service until around the third guy after not being able to keep the ant and hornet problem fixed by another pest company. Since EcoShield, no ants in the house. We haven't seen too many hornet trying to build their nest. EcoShield is pricier, yes, though they seem to keep the pests away. It's only been around 9 months with them. So far, so good. read more

Michael came to the front door and spoke with me prior to this pest control service. I told him about the hornets and wasps that have been appearing around our main deck. He has mitigated that with a trap, so we shall see how that goes. His other work was thorough and appreciated. Thanks for the thoughtful service. read more

Always happy with my service. Appreciate the information they provide after every visit.

This company has very poor salesmanship. It's 9 at night and a salesman comes knocking on our door trying drum up business. When I asked him to politely leave because I have decided to go with a local service, salesman got upset and started talking to me like I was stop and I down graded by not taking this service. Do better. Vet your sales people. read more

Be very careful with this company. Our experience is that they do not practice what they preach. We got sold on EcoShield by their promise that all products were environmentally friendly and non-toxic. They promised that they were "different" from the other companies that come and spray poison around your house every month. On their first visit we found them spraying poison all around our house including across all the porches and thresholds. We did not want to be tracking poison into our house every time we enter. When we complained of being misled, they had the nerve to charge us a $250 early cancellation fee. My advice is stay away from EcoShield as there is nothing "Eco" about them. read more

Pushy salesmen, who blatantly ignore "no soliciting" signs. If they can't follow simple directions like this, what else will they "forget" to do? read more

Avoid these scumbags. Charge you $175 to have someone come over and swat down a few cobwebs only for the spiders to be back in a month. They will tell you that you can cancel at any time and then try to charge you $275 to cancel. Only real person you can talk to is a general call center.... read more

I've been a customer for several years & was offered a free rodent inspection in my crawl & attic spaces. I scheduled this with them for an afternoon inspection. I stayed home for this appointment, since it was a 2 hour window for arrival, no one showed up. I contacted them & they said they would contact the technician & have them contact me, no contact. Next day I canceled my service! read more

David was punctual, friendly, professional, informative, and helpful, and we'd recommend Ecoshield based on this experience.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Twice, within a 6-month period of time, a technician showed up and spent less than 5 minutes at the house for a full service, spraying, cobweb removal, pest traps checked, etc. Last time they literally just walked around the house and left. The first time, they had the manager come out and do the service for a discount. It took him 45 minutes. The second time this happened, I cancelled the service and they made me pay the full amount even though I sent them video of the technician. Save your money and get a different service. read more

Belinda Arriell is a rock star! She was businesslike and professional, analyzing the various rodents that were having their way with my land. She actually stuck her finger into the various holes -- rate, mouse, squirrel -- to determine if they were tunneling. Her recommendations were sensible and I felt total confidence in her. read more

They should not even get a star!! My experience with this company was extremely negative due to their misleading practices. They secure customers with a year-long contract under the pretense of providing extensive pest control services. However, the actual service delivered is minimal and does not justify the significant charges. Even within the 30 days that you want to cancel and you're not satisfied with their work, they still charge you a $250 contract fee. I strongly advise against engaging with this company. Use one of our local companies that is much more reliable and trustworthy. Like Parker pest read more

Absolutely Terrible Experience - Avoid This Company I had an exclusion service done in Jan 2024 where I was assured all rodent entry points were sealed. Less than a year later, I had to call them back due to ongoing issues, and surprise--an entry point they "missed" was discovered. When I asked about warranty coverage, they conveniently denied responsibility, claiming it's not covered. This is clearly their fault, yet they refuse to own up to it. Worse, once I challenged their warranty determination, they completely ghosted me. No follow-up, no communication, no proposal--just silence. This is how they treat a loyal customer who stayed with them even after a poorly executed job the first time. This company has no accountability, poor customer service, and zero interest in making things right. If you're looking for a company that stands behind their work, communicates professionally, or even shows a basic level of care, look elsewhere. I've had to chase them every step of the way, only to be ignored. Save yourself the money and headache--go with someone who actually values their customers and delivers what they promise. This place is a complete joke. read more

Scam. Rep LIED to get our service, and they won't cancel contract Literally said they signed up our good neighbor, which was a lie. I called, no resolve other than sticking out the contract with a cheaper fee (it wasn't about the money, I made that clear to him). He said the rep was being reported, said a lot of things. I couldn't talk to a manager, he told me there was no point they would say the same thing. He defended the lying employee a bit. Said he did great for the company, he was just trying to make a sale. ?! So we are stuck with some discount on services that I didn't ask for but had to settle for as they would not stop the contract. read more

We are not customers of EcoShield, nor have I ever contacted them or asked for services. While out of town, they left a door hanger stating they had sprayed our house and applied granular and crack and crevice treatment in addition to leaving a rat trap. They must have accidentally gone to the wrong address (our house). For the last 3 days I have attempted to call and email the company to find out what pesticides they used at my house and where, but I can't get any answers and am getting the run around. In the mean time, I have reported them to the State Dept. of Ag and the State Attorney General's office. Hopefully I will get some resolution soon. But I do not recommend this company- their customer service is slow and terrible! read more

I had a yellow jacket next in the wall on the 3rd floor of my house. The exterminator came at the appointed time--right on time--and took care of the problem without hesitation. Avoid at all costs. Will not honor their contractual agreement and will get you to call them in order to cancel service. Then they will keep you on the phone and try to keep you on even though all you want to do is cancel. I really do not have anything good to say. Buyer beware read more

Please do not hire this company for pest control. They came to our door and told us there was an issue with rats at a neighbors house and asked if we would like them to check our crawl space. We let me check it and yes there was evidence of rats under there. At 1st they seemed very respectful and on time. We later found out that the men that came to take out the chewed up insulation in our crawl space and redo our crawl space were not even working for Echo Shield. They were contracted out from another company. When the company was finished and they came for an inspection the work did not pass the inspection and Charles had to come out and redo it all by himself. When my mom wanted the services stopped and them no longer come here again after we were called liars, they lost 2 checks, you can not get ahold of them on the phone and if you do they refuse to let you talk to a manager or supervisor. We were lied to about services. We signed up for a years worth of service and paid for it in full which we did not receive. It took daily phone calls (numerous times a day) starting the end of April until today July 15th to finally get this all taken care of and them told never to come on our property again under any circumstances, I have never in my life had an issue with any company like what they put us through and I hope I never ever have to go through this again with another company. Do not hire them they are a scam company. read more

Jose came in today and totally knocked a hornets nest out of existence!!!! So thankful to have it gone. Thank you EcoShield and Jose!

This company is a scam. $1500 wasted. They send a dynamic sales person who overpromises and guarantees unrealistic outcomes. Then if you sign you up for a year contract then you will never see the sales person again. I signed up for spider and rodent treatment and protection. What I got was "techs" that come every other month for about 5-10 min to sweep your house and put traps around the property that have zero effect. I tried to get them to send the guy back to do a real job on multiple occasions and got no response. Finally on the last service the tech left all the traps open, with bait and spikes sticking up posing a hazard to us and any guest who walked through our property. I sent them pics and requested a refund and they canceled my service (thankfully) but they will not respond. This is one of the worst companies I have ever delt with. I sent a warning to our neighbors and they are in the process of canceling. Spread the word to never work with this company! Now I see they AI replied and told me to email my concerns to customerfeedback@theshieldco.com. I have done this 4 times since I canceled the service a week ago and have yet to receive a reply. read more

EcoShield Pest Solutions - Pest Control Near Me - Tukwila, Washington

1 Star (Only because zero isn't an option) Avoid Ecoshield Pest Control like the plague. If you want to deal with a morally bankrupt, predatory company that preys on the elderly and dead, congratulations--you've found the perfect match. Ecoshield signed someone up at my dad's house without my dad's authorization, email, or knowledge. They began billing through an email address that wasn't his, which meant no one in our family even knew there was an account. We never saw a bill, a notice, or anything resembling transparency. Fast forward 75 days: we get a threatening letter in the mail about collections. That's right--no communication until they're ready to damage someone's credit over services my father NEVER agreed to. When I called them to pay and cancel the account--because my father had just passed away--they demanded his email. I told them again: he never had one. Then, they had the audacity to ask what day he died and demanded a death certificate, even though I had an account number. As if that wasn't grotesque enough, turns out his signature never even authorized the service to begin with. Ecoshield isn't just disorganized--they're deceitful. They operate with zero compassion, zero accountability, and less than zero professionalism. This company is a putrid, shameful excuse for a service provider. Do not trust them. Do not let them near your home or your loved ones. They don't deserve your business or your respect. read more

If 1 star is not good- I wish I couled give them 0 stars for HORRIBLE!! I do plan on filing a claim with bhe better business bureau and the consumer protection division of the WA state attorney general's office. We have been using their service since 2021- We called them last week because we found 3 rats. One technician arrived and inspected our crawl space. He said it had signs of LOTS of recent activity and we'd need $25,000 worth of work (which they would be happy to do.). The next day another technician came out to check our bait boxes. when he opened them he was speechless. They were filled with spider webs, ivy etc but no bait. They obviously hadn't been checked in YEARS. I called their office and spoke with Patrick who said he would get back to me with a solution-he never called back. We had another company do an inspection of the crawl space and they said they was NO current activity. STAY AWAY FROM ECO-SHIELD. If you think their sales tactics are bad their service is even worse! read more

Who is this "Business Manager JHay? I tried to contact them. Even though I was told multiple times my bill would be waived I got a bill and have to pay it or they will send me to collections. They lied to me about what they would do, they've been harassing me telling me one thing and then another now I'm reading the same response to every negative review. Copy and paste. What a shameful way to do business. Absolutely no respect for the customer. Ecoshield don't bother copying and pasting your response. People if you see a response just laugh because that's all you can do. It's all about them getting the money not customer satisfaction. read more

-1. Attention to Detail. We specifically have a "No Solicitation" sign. -1. Transparency. They wouldn't confirm if I was supposed to pay or not. -1. Attentiveness. Didn't get any hints I wasn't interested until I closed the door. -1. Deception. They claim they are doing work in the area. However, are short on specifics. Background. Twice now, I've had my door knocked by someone from EcoShield. Both times, they clearly could see the "No Solicitation" sign on the door. Either that or, and you'll forgive me, but they don't give a fuck about individual privacy. The pitch is all the same, with these service-based companies. They are "in the area" and "performing work" and eventually they get to the point. Or, as I often do, I cut to the chase and simply ask them, "what are you selling?" By then, they clam up, state they aren't selling something. But now, I'm kinda done with these 'in the area' pitches. So, I just asked am I'm supposed to pay for something. This time, the rep waffled, and I eventually interrupted them and stated they were either doing the work for free or they can leave. He left. Oh, this is a pest control company. As I prefer to shop around and compare over an extensive list across multiple sources, I don't like it when someone shows up unannounced. I'm sure they personally don't appreciate it. Buyer beware. They are in your neighborhood and they don't care about your desire for privacy. read more

We signed up with them 2 years ago. All went well until now. We had a treatment for ants last Wednesday, June 25. Today is Monday June 30 and we have ants in the kitchen. We called customer service and the agent clearly does not understand the problem. She told us nobody could come out until ,July 11!
