We are not customers of EcoShield, nor have I ever contacted them or asked for services. While out of town, they left a door hanger stating they had sprayed our house and applied granular and crack and crevice treatment in addition to leaving a rat trap. They must have accidentally gone to the wrong address (our house). For the last 3 days I have attempted to call and email the company to find out what pesticides they used at my house and where, but I can't get any answers and am getting the run around. In the mean time, I have reported them to the State Dept. of Ag and the State Attorney General's office. Hopefully I will get some resolution soon. But I do not recommend this company- their customer service is slow and terrible! read more

Then they will keep you on the phone and try to keep you on even though all you want to do is cancel. Roger Klunder visited our residence upon our request to inspect areas of noticed rodent activity around the exterior of the house. He was on time for the appointment and proved to be very knowlegeable and informative as we inspected the perimeter of the house. He alerted me to possible entry points where I needed to plug holes. Overall he was very engaging and I felt his visit was well worth it. He is a very good repesentative of how EcoShield treats it's cusomers. read more

Do not do business with this company. They are liars and scammers. Horrible experience, they do a poor job each service, the customer service team does not communicate with the techs. They always ask to leave detailed notes for expectation of the visit and areas needing dewebbing/spraying, then when the techs show up, they are never aware of said notes and do a bare minimum job. They also always want to schedule for inconvenient times and are inflexible for rescheduling. When you do reschedule for a time that works, they just change the day and keep the time, but they do not tell you this (has happened multiple times) which is extremely frustrating. read more

This company is a scam. $1500 wasted. They send a dynamic sales person who overpromises and guarantees unrealistic outcomes. Then if you sign you up for a year contract then you will never see the sales person again. I signed up for spider and rodent treatment and protection. What I got was "techs" that come every other month for about 5-10 min to sweep your house and put traps around the property that have zero effect. I tried to get them to send the guy back to do a real job on multiple occasions and got no response. Finally on the last service the tech left all the traps open, with bait and spikes sticking up posing a hazard to us and any guest who walked through our property. I sent them pics and requested a refund and they canceled my service (thankfully) but they will not respond. This is one of the worst companies I have ever delt with. I sent a warning to our neighbors and they are in the process of canceling. Spread the word to never work with this company! Now I see they AI replied and told me to email my concerns to customerfeedback@theshieldco.com. Ecoshield signed someone up at my dad's house without my dad's authorization, email, or knowledge. They began billing through an email address that wasn't his, which meant no one in our family even knew there was an account. We never saw a bill, a notice, or anything resembling transparency. Fast forward 75 days: we get a threatening letter in the mail about collections. That's right--no communication until they're ready to damage someone's credit over services my father NEVER agreed to. When I called them to pay and cancel the account--because my father had just passed away--they demanded his email. I told them again: he never had one. Then, they had the audacity to ask what day he died and demanded a death certificate, even though I had an account number. As if that wasn't grotesque enough, turns out his signature never even authorized the service to begin with. Ecoshield isn't just disorganized--they're deceitful. They operate with zero compassion, zero accountability, and less than zero professionalism. This company is a putrid, shameful excuse for a service provider. Do not trust them. Who is this "Business Manager JHay? I tried to contact them. Even though I was told multiple times my bill would be waived I got a bill and have to pay it or they will send me to collections. They lied to me about what they would do, they've been harassing me telling me one thing and then another now I'm reading the same response to every negative review. Copy and paste. What a shameful way to do business. Absolutely no respect for the customer. Ecoshield don't bother copying and pasting your response. Didn't get any hints I wasn't interested until I closed the door. -1. Deception. They claim they are doing work in the area. However, are short on specifics. Background. Twice now, I've had my door knocked by someone from EcoShield. Both times, they clearly could see the "No Solicitation" sign on the door. Either that or, and you'll forgive me, but they don't give a fuck about individual privacy. The pitch is all the same, with these service-based companies. They are "in the area" and "performing work" and eventually they get to the point. Or, as I often do, I cut to the chase and simply ask them, "what are you selling?" By then, they clam up, state they aren't selling something. But now, I'm kinda done with these 'in the area' pitches. So, I just asked am I'm supposed to pay for something. This time, the rep waffled, and I eventually interrupted them and stated they were either doing the work for free or they can leave. He left. Oh, this is a pest control company. We signed up with them 2 years ago. All went well until now. We had a treatment for ants last Wednesday, June 25. Today is Monday June 30 and we have ants in the kitchen. We called customer service and the agent clearly does not understand the problem. She told us nobody could come out until ,July 11! They were sure excited to get our business and assured us if there was a problem they would come out "immediately". I don't think almost 2 weeks qualifies as "immediately". The pest control itself was fine, but their customer service is terrible. We contacted the company to cancel our account because we were moving, and because we were cancelling prior to the end of our contract, we had to email proof that we were moving out of the area. We did so immediately. We received an email asking for more information, which we responded to. We called three times to confirm the cancellation, and each time the person we spoke to said that we had not cancelled and they had no knowledge of this. We were sent emails from the company repeatedly saying that they needed to speak with us in person. Each time we called, we were on hold for no less than 30 minutes. We finally received confirmation of our cancellation after two weeks of frustration and wasted time. read more

Do not use the service I asked for a one time removal of spiders and then a follow up visit and they planted a fake contract and charge me for a years worth at $192 each quarter. It was absolutely ridiculous. They came around with a big swiffer on a stick and applied some essential oils for $192 When I tried to cancel, I was hit with a $200 cancellation fee for a contract. My brother had EcoShield for several years. After he died, I called in June to cancel the service. They requested that I even send them his death certificate, which I did. (They were the only service I canceled that required his death certificate, by the way.) Despite that, several months later, I received a bill for services in August. I called and spoke to someone who told me the account was still active but fortunately I had email proof that I'd sent the death certificate months earlier. They also asked if it was possible to talk to my brother to confirm it was OK to talk to me. (!) I told them no because he was dead, which is why I was calling. They then wanted to add me to the account which I told them no since it was being closed.I was transferred and put on hold a number of times before finally successfully getting someone to cancel it, delete the balance and send me a confirmation that it was done. read more

After a year, my contract was over and it was still very difficult to cancel my service. Very poor customer service. EcoSheild has a quality product and very good technicians that are trustworthy, knowledgable and timely. Tadas Jasinskas did a great job on our home while we were under construction, and had a new puppy in the house. He gave us all the info we needed to decide what to do, and assured us of the safety. He worked with us to make sure the puppy was out of the way, and he was not daunted by the construction debris and scaffolding he had to work around. We were cautious about starting with a treatment product, but are glad that we did. Our primary concern was small ants, that invaded our yard, kitchen and bathroom. So long as EcoSheild comes quarterly, we no longer see the ants. We raise bees and have pets, and the product has been safe. read more

In the past, they were using a different formula that was working, but about 6 months ago when they came out, they said it was a new product that they were using. It doesn't work. A door-to-door salesperson, whom ignored 2 "no solicitors" signs, knocked on my door an hour after sundown. They did not announce or introduce themself. But said they're doing work down the street and hadn't had the opportunity to meet me. Then asked who services my house. After pointing out the "No Solicitors" signs, they said "no I didn't see, it's dark" and kept going with the sales pitch. I told them, "I'm good and thank you." I came on yelp to verify they're a legit business. From the other reviews, looks like this door knocking and ignoring the signs are common practice for them. I recommend avoiding using businesses that fail to see how this is tactless and completely oblivious. Update 7/11/2023: Just got another door to door sales man saying he didn't look at the "No soliciting" signs. These guys are terrible. Find someone else. They go door to door trying to get people to sign up and their services don't work. They have "tried" to get rid of my mice problem for years. It never gets fixed and they charge an "annual exclusion renewal", except they have NOT excluded the mice! Then they tried to charge me twice in a year for the renewal because they "excluded other areas". I'm really not sure how it's an exclusion if you don't close up all the entry points at once... kick them off your door step when they show up. read more
