The first one I pointed them out and he just walked away, the second one said "I don't care about your signs!" Well you should because you're violating law by ignoring them in the city of Chandler. Nathaniel came to our house, and despite my spouse telling him that we did not have time to talk due to family arriving, he continued talking and talking and talking. Then, as our family is literally walking through the door, he just kept talking. He eventually wore my spouse down to set a **tentative** appointment for the next day, saying that he would be in the neighborhood and would check in before charging anything. Our family left the next day, and we were so exhausted that we took a nap. Nathaniel came by the house and treated it without our confirmation and automatically charged us $180-something. I usually never ever leave a review but this service has been extremely disappointing to say the least. My family and I pay over $100 a month for services. The have come only TWICE in the 6 months that we've been with this company. And WHEN they did come they only ever did the front of the house after expressing multiple times we needed the inside and back yard. They'd spend 5 minutes and the leave. We would be home requesting to do the inside considering we have most of our problems inside of the home. Very unfortunate. They'd be unfriendly and make it seem like they were in a rush and would come back to do more. And they never do, never have. It's ridiculous considering we paid monthly. UPDATE: The response from the owner is just fluff to make whoever is reading this think that they're addressing the situation and THEY DID NOT. My review stands the same. Avoid this company at all costs!! JUST SAY NO!! This company is fraudulent. The salesman that come up to your door even if you have a NO SOLICITING SIGN, will tell you anything to get you to sign up. They will advise you wrongfully. This is a 2 year contract that you're signing up for apparently that I was NOT advised of. The representative that came to my door specifically said that I can cancel anytime after the first two treatments without any penalty or extra fees, that was a lie! I tried to call to cancel my service and the representative was rude unprofessional and would not cancel my service. They gave me such a hard time. I ended up reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. Save yourself time and a headache and do not sign a contract with this company! Their product does not work. My neighborhood was bombarded by a few salesmen, specifically one knocking on our doors multiple times even after being told we were not interested, all in the same day. When he first knocked on the door I believed it to be the police based on how loud and hard he knocked it startled my toddler and myself. Did not answer. He then rang the door bell. Still did not answer. Not interested. He then proceeded to go to my neighbor, and then come back to my house 15 minutes later and did it a second time, police knock and rang doorbell. When I finally answered so that he would not do it again, I told him we have pest control and were not interested. He then asked who I am with- I told him my husband handles that but we are not interested- he then asked if my husband was home. Hustle is respectable for sure, door knocking is not an easy task and it probably takes a lot of guts to be told no all day long. But this was outright unacceptable, considering it was posted on my neighborhood page by multiple homeowners with over 60 comments all saying the exact same thing- banging on the door like police, ignoring multiple no solicitation signs, returning if not answered 10-30 min later more than once, twice, even FOUR times in one day AND returning even when told no if another car is present. A picture of him was posted as well. It got to the point that someone in the neighborhood called non-emergency line to come out. I say all of this because I cannot even attest to what Eco's services are like- and I never will because this type of aggressive sales technique is an absolute no to even try or find out. If a home has a no soliciting sign, please train your staff that it is actually punishable by Arizona Law to continue to solicit, if an entire neighborhood complains about this from your company I believe improved and more respectful sales techniques needs to occur. Drake was courteous and diligent in explaning the service and we told him about our ongoing scorpion problem. Just a heads up before signing with this company, you'll have a problem getting a hold of the scheduling department. I've been trying to get a hold of them since Friday, and went another route to try and speak with someone through customer service they couldn't even get a hold of scheduling and it's now Tuesday. Before switching to this company I never had a bug problem as I had a different pest company. But now I do beetles and spiders. Ugh!!! I regret switching. My old pest company was cheaper, but I gave EvoShield a chance coz the techs looks way more professional and presentable. And they talked a good one. It's just really frustrating that I can't even get a hold of the scheduling department if I wanted to coz I have a problem. That's just poor customer service. We recently had the company perform an inspection of our yard and attic and evidence of termites was found. I did sign up for service, but being on a limited income something else came up and I could no longer afford their service. Cancelling should have been easy, but not with this company. To cancel it cost me $200 dollars. I was told at the start that I could cancel anytime, and no mention of a fee. So be very aware of the greedy company. Not to mention the phone calls 3 of them, from a call center, who I could not understand because of the static on the line, the noise in the background, and the ascent of the person. Also sending emails does not work either, they never reply. So again I would go with any other company. read more

But even after that i was still having bug problems and for the price they charge i dont care how many times u come out free of charge. Shouldn't have to come back out again and again. I found another guy who charged 1/3 their price and i have been bug free for 5 months now. Now im dealing with some bullshit fee to break their contract. I would not recommend this company. That gentleman damaged roof tiles and siding costing $220 in repairs. They charge double what most charge and make even more by scheduling more than o e treatment a month. Gonna give you a run down on my 1-year experience with EcoShield below: -Reps claim a fake contest to get you to give them a 5 star review on Google, this is why there's a fake market review presence. -Their monthly/bi monthly fees are literally more than 2x every competitor in Arizona. They try to charge $179 every two months while dozens of 4-5 star competitors charge $70 every two months. -When you call service or try to cancel, you're connected with a call center in India and they give you a run around for over an hour as they have someone talk through a script and throw discounts at you then threaten the fact that you're on a fictitious contract. Just say no, worst business practices I've ever encountered. read more

After scrolling on this review list and Facebook's I realized I fell for the same bait and switch others did. I asked all the questions to the salesperson and got answers that sounded great. Specifically: The second treatment was part of the initial process and that I was not locked into a contract and could cancel if needed without fees. As we're going through the process on the little phone, you just sign as he "summarizes" what it's saying and don't read the details. I've seen responses from the company on here saying there's a two factor verification which works in their favor. That means nothing when the salesperson is deceitful OR plainly ignorant. I called about the second charge only one month after the first one and that's what lead me to actually read the receipt sent to me which is in complete contradiction to what the salesperson said with all of the clauses that basically say you're trapped... Incredibly disappointing and infuriating. read more

"FAKE NEWS" with 5 Star Reviews. Salesperson was outstanding, was very nice, polite, well spoken, confident, friendly, and knew his stuff. But, due diligence before signing anything. Too obvious the good reviews are written by employees: 1) Reads "previous review" instead of the person's name, meaning reviewer (or employee in this case) has already written a review or several other reviews. These types make up vast majority of the good reviews. 2) Apparently this place has numerous employees that are "very polite, friendly and smart". See photo. 3) How would a homeowner know whether the pest guy is using "top quality name brand products"? If the customer knows the products that well, they ought to be in the business, oh wait they already are. read more

Do not--I repeat--- do not---sign a contract with this company. Nebraska Atwood Showed up without calling, so I missed my appointment. that should have been my first sign, but I overlooked. He returned 2 days later after breaking his second appointment. It cost me $600 to do the mice exclusion service. He closed some holes up in my roof and I have not been able to get a hold of him since. I have no idea if rats were caught, when he is coming back, he will not respond to texts, (you can see my attempt in the pictures) I have called the main office and they can't get a hold of him either. $600 down the drain. I have no idea what is going on with my house and Yelp complaint is my only resource. I wish I had read the reviews before signing a contract. Be advised! read more

UPDATE Dec. 2024:I never complained about their service personnel. The one I had one time apparently did his job well because he made the three cobwebs outside my front door go away and they have not returned. He showed up my door, never heard of the company but had found an email that day saying they would come. I answered trying to stop them. ut it was too late.The only reason I let him do it was because I had no one else to ask do it and I was too weary to do the research about other companies and other services and prices to do it so I signed a paper for the $169 charge and paid it promptly online within 2 days. I don't remember if I understood I was signing a contract for several visits. I was signing an electronic pad in the doorway. He could not leave me with a copy of the paper and said I could call and send for one. When I called the number on my credit card bill for their customer service I found I was talking to someone in the Philippine Islands. He arranged for me to receive a copy of the contract. Since then, EchoShield has been in constant contact through emails and text messages even a letter. I have followed their instructions for cancelling the contract but to no avail. thy have followed through on hiring a collection service which resulted in a few points off my credit score. I really can't afford to hire this pricey service. I am in my mid nineties and have had to hire more caregiving service. I have no car and have to find more income to meet my growing expenses. The service was good, a little pricey but good. They even came out again since I found scorpions in my garage and respirated for free. So overall there, no complaints. The reason for 2 stars? I just called the company today to put another pause on the account. They said we had to cancel they couldn't pause service so I agreed to that. Then they INSISTED they speak to the main account holder - my father - who is dealing with his mothers death and planning a funeral right now. They refused to work with me, even though I live at the service address, have changed the service schedule before, and know the email, credit card number, and all information. I should know all the account info considering I SET IT UP. Too bad good service is now forever remember for the poor handling of their online phone system (which put me on hold for 20 min too) and no workaround or flexibility even though EASILY they could have. This isn't a bank, it's a pest control company and I was simply trying to pause service, not call my grieving father on a 3 way call because a pest control company INSISTS. Disappointed. read more

I signed up for their services years ago at an old address because of high pressure door to door sales tactics. I already had service, but I just wanted the salesman gone. This company is expensive, but they showed up for the job (at least 5 years ago). Fast forward to a week ago - I already have a pest service but the new door to door salesman keeps trying to get me to use their service and will not take no for an answer. I spoke to him for 45 minutes (while I was quite busy - I work from home) and he simply would not take no for an answer. I also asked for a business card as I like to do my own research, but he refused to give me one. Everything about this company raises red flags, and I can see others have the same issues. Now that I've got my Yelp review in, it's off to Google and other platforms as well as the BBB. read more
