I don't often write reviews but feel compelled to write one for Jimi. He is a true professional. I've had 7 different people over the years come to our property to inspect for rodent entry points and Jimi was by far the best. He identified locations, crawled under the house when all others simply walked around, climbed on the roof, took pictures, and quickly offered a solution. When my wife and I moved into our house in Kapolei it was only 3 days that went by and some young, clean cut young man knocked on our door. Curious I opened said door and this man began by saying what his name is and who/what he does. Then he asked me how my day had been so far. Being so kind to us we allowed him into our home to provide what services are available and how much they are. Never pushed just educated us. Thirty minutes later after many questions my wife asked he left saying have a great night and provided us with a business card. Couple days later we requested he return and signed up with their service plan. I always know when they are coming because they send me a reminder text and even stated in text if this day does not work for you let us know. All of the Eco Shield technicians have been so amazing and nice. Not to mention extremely professional. They even wear these little booties so they don't track in mud/dirt. As a small business owner I know how hard it is to find good professional employees. I wish they would reveal where they find them. RYAN GREYSON WAS MY LAST TECH THAT CAME OUT. He explained everything and was so polite. Called me when he was in route with his ETA and did a incredible job. All the employees are great but I'm looking forward to seeing Ryan next time. EcoShield employee showed up at my door today, ignored the no soliciting signs and rang the doorbell, interrupting my work. When I answered, he went into his sales pitch. I politely told him that we already have pest control and do not need his service, at which point he rolled his eyes and walked away. Disrespectful and unprofessional. These guys are AWFUL! First, a salesman showed up at our home unannounced right after we moved in and was VERY pushy about us starting services with them. He gave a big speech about how he already serviced all of our neighbors and would cut us a deal. He went on and on about the quality of their service and all the areas they would spray and cover. So, we signed up. When the initial spray guy came, he did minimal work and definitely didn't cover all the areas we were promised. We immediately saw bugs again. We called and they sent out someone else- same routine. This time just a little more bait and the guy was gone in 5 minutes. The THIRD time they sent someone to fix it, he was gone in the same amount of time. I'm convinced all the put out was sugar water because we still have A LOT of bug activity. My husband finally got in touch with someone to cancel services this morning, and after A FULL ON ARGUMENT with him, they cancelled the service and still charged us a $200 cancellation fee! Apparently, the demise of Kama'aina Pest Control has left an opening for more criminal con-artists in this arena. Do yourself a favor, and choose another company. read more

We've been using EcoShield since we moved into our new home last summer. Since the very first treatment, we've been pleased with the service, reliability, and response time of the company. Every technician we've had has been kind and polite. We have had no issues with pests - as soon as we notice anything we let them know and they alter the treatment or provide another interior treatment to prevent issues. We've even accidentally forgotten about our scheduled treatment, left the house, and had to return home to unlock exterior gates and the technician was nothing but friendly and understanding as he awaited our return. Randy from ecosheild was very nice and professional. He seemed very knowledgeable about his profession and have been doing it for years. He was very though and checked under the carpets and in the wall. He helped explained everything he was doing and what he was using. I liked that his chemicals that he used were not harsh, so that we can go back to regular living in just 1 hour after he finished and it wouldn't be poisonous if we touched or inhaled the fumes. As long time customer and someone who had brought this company several referrals, I immediately cancelled my service for both of my properties when there was a change in management. One of the most off putting individuals I have ever met- Jeremiah was rude and condescending and I cannot image how this person is in customer service. Great customer service and the technicians are always on point when providing treatments on our property. Service is on a contract minimum one year and they offer touchups in between at no additional charge. We have found this to be very beneficial through the seasons and weather changes. Since having treatments for several months now we have not had any issues with pests other than weather change which is normal to see an uptick in pests during those times. Even then it has only been twice that we have needed a touchup. Initially I was also concerned about the safety of pets although they said it is pet safe and I have not had any actual issues experiencing any reactions. It is harder to reach them on phone but they are very responsive on email. The service itself practically doesn't take any time from your schedule they literally just need maybe 5 minutes and they are in and out. I like that it is fast and doesn't take up much of my time from doing other things. The technicians are usually early for appointments we only had one instance that they were late but we've never seen that person before they're definitely not a regular worker. The technicians are also very good about making contact with you before starting service or entering property or walking around your property. We have never had an issue with rescheduling or running out of solution as many others here say, so knock on wood I really hope this never happens to us! It seems like a lot of people have the same technician but we get a different person each time. read more

Not a customer nor did I want to be, came by my house when I had my mentally disabled sister at home (she can do tasks but has a hard time understanding contracts and what she consents to, she needs extra assistance with reviewing things with another adult to fully comprehend) an eco agent came to our address while she was alone (most times we have a no soliciting sign that STOPS people from approaching our door in plain sight, also signs displaying autism awareness and to be mindful) she opened the door thinking it was the mailman and from what my sister explained to me he said we already had service and was coming by to do the service. He reviewed MY PERSONAL information with her and not understanding she said yes ok, sounds good and went right along with it not realizing he was signing ME up for services SHE WAS NOT UNDERSTANDING SHE WAS AGREEING TO! This kind of behavior is NOT ACCEPTABLE! Would not recommend doing business with a company who takes advantage and manipulates the situation. Thank goodness he had the KINDNESS to send an email with no contact information confirming the AGREEMENT! would not recommend. read more

Excellent customer service!! Very informative, Justin explained the entire process step by step. It's been an hour since they left I checked along the foundation of our home usually you would see ants crawling up to get under the siding they're completely gone. Their product doesn't work and trying to cancel is extremely difficult, painful and expensive. Also, their sales people are pushy, their technicians are undertrained (2 out of 3 of them anyway) and did I mention that their product doesn't work? We started service, saw no decrease in pests, called to cancel, were put through the ringer and convinced we just needed to get another service, got the other service, still had pests, called again, literally had to argue and demand our service be cancelled, then we got charged for it all. Maybe if they trained their technicians how to do pest control as well as they train their customer care people to NOT allow you to cancel service, their product would work. Our second treatment was just a guy with a spray can spraying where he saw bugs. I wouldn't be nearly as angry about their product not working if it were easier to cancel and they didn't charge me so much to cancel. Ill never go back! read more

I started using this company after they came knocking on my door two month ago. So far it has been hard to reach someone through their office phone. If you do manage to get through, the service seems to be good. They are relatively new on the island. That can mean both good and bad. I am still on the cautious side because of the communication issue, but I am willing to give them sometime to see if they can do a better job than the bigger pest control companies that I have been disappointed with. read more

These guys are awesome. Have been a loyal customers for at least 5 years and I cannot tell you how happy we are with their service. Never had a bad experience with them. They come out for their normal scheduled service and are very clean and professional. Sometimes they come and if were not home they will service the outside of the house and yard and reschedule a time to come and do the inside of the home at no extra charge. They actually do their job outside so well that we haven't needed to service inside for a while. The employees are very courteous and accommodating. They are always happy to come out for touch ups if we notice any increased activity. We recently noticed bees buzzing near our front porch about a month ago and the activity slowly increased. Called them and their bee specialist Jeremiah came out and confirmed a hive just starting in our front porch attic space. He took care of it quickly and professionally. As one of the previous reviewers said, these guys walked around like Jehovah's witnesses touting their product. Like so many others, I was hesitant. But Kirk took his time and explained everything. He gave me his cell phone number so I could take advantage of the special that they were offering. Instead, I took my time and talked to neighbors and read reviews, checking BBB and Yelp and so on. I talked to Kirk about the safety of the product, but most importantly, I wanted to confirm what he told me about their company. They will spray the outside yard and get the ants/white flies and other buggies under control. I have a decent size yard and have been having trouble with ants. SO many ants and nothing from City Mill, Home Depot, or Lowes seemed to do the trick. After almost a year of trying to take care of it, I was ready to give up and call a professional. But honestly... I have never heard of a pest control company willing to spray the yard. I called other companies and they all said "no"... they only put a barrier between the house and the yard. I called Kirk back a few weeks later and said... you really, really, really will take care of my yard? Get rid of the ants out there, get rid of the white flies, and take care of the issues I have in my yard? He said YES. So a few days later, Ecoshield came out. I watched the technician spray around the house and yard with the material. He then got out granules (similar to what I would use on my lawn) and he went out and spread that throughout the yard. He then took this really, really long feather duster that had insecticide dust and he used that to dust all the eves of my house to prevent spiders, wasps and hornets from nesting in the eves. I could see an immediate difference. The ants are pretty much gone. We have now found multiple dead centipedes. The little millipedes which were always somehow crawling into the house were gone. I am SO IMPRESSED with the company and how few critters I have in the yard and the house. And yes, weeks later, Kirk gave me that same discount so no pressure to decide that weekend. All in all, I can't be more pleased. A pest control company who helps me with the yard. That is wonderful! Give these guys a try if you are having pests in the yard like I did! read more
