He was a nice guy and we had spent a lot of time with him and felt like we got to know him personally, so we were willing to help him out as it seemed he was doing good work, alas on a strange and inconsistent schedule. To this day nearly 3 months later, we have not heard from him despite him having collected 5 figures from us. We gave him many opportunities to get back in touch without any hard feelings, but I could not hold off on leaving a review any longer as this was really not okay and others should be weary if he has not abandoned this business name.

We checked all water sources in the house and found nothing. We then searched outside and found a large pool of standing water in an area of our otherwise dry front yard. Time to call a plumber. Was referred to Olde Skool Plumbing and gave them call. I spoke with Joe, the owner, and he stated he could come by the next day and assess the situation and work up a quote for us. He also stated the initial visit would not cost us anything, so I figured let's see what he comes up with. Joe arrived the next day as promised and was friendly and professional from the first minute we met. He took the time to find out what we had already tried related to shutting off our main water and inspecting all interior water connections and then inspected the standing water in our front yard. He agreed that was most likely the source of our leak. He advised us of his hourly rate and gave us an estimate of how long he believed it would take to do some preliminary digging into our yard to find a potential leak. The rates and plan of action discussed were reasonable, so we agreed. Fortunately, after an hour or so of digging, Joe quickly found the leaking pipe connection and began repairs. The underground pipe was quite old and was obviously compromised by the root systems growing all around it which Joe had to thin out and remove with a handheld saw before replacing the faulty section of pipe and installing new connections. Joe had an assistant for much of the digging but had no hesitation personally getting into the now wet, muddy trench to ensure the pipe replacement was correctly installed. It was obvious watching him that Joe took great pride in his work and truly cared about ensuring the job was completed as promised. There were several times he could have handed a messy portion of the repair over to his assistant but chose to perform the task on his own. All repairs were completed within the time frame discussed and when Joe connected a pressure gauge to one of our outside faucets (which he replaced as well for a very reasonable price when asked!) it showed consistent pressure with no signs of leaks! It was dark at this point and Joe asked if he could return to tomorrow in the daylight to fill in the repair hole and clean up the area. I agreed and paid him with a credit card. This is where many service companies will leave you short - not show up as promised simply to clean up when they've already been paid. Not Joe and Olde Skool Plumbing! He arrived as promised with many bags of new dirt (no charge) and spent a great deal of time filling in the repair hole in our yard and packing it down to look as good as new! He also used a hose to clean off the mud on the side of our house that had splattered during the repairs. Again, it was obvious Joe truly cares about his work, customers and doing a great job even after he's been paid. All in, total repairs for an underground leak and pipe section replacement cost us under $1K. Very reasonable for the work and quality that I personally witnessed. I also appreciated that Joe never tried to upsell us on other services or repairs unrelated to the job at hand which is an issue I'd had in the past with other plumbing companies. Bottom line - Joe and Olde Skool Plumbing are 100% legit and truly care about their customers. I will not hesitate to contact them again if and when we need any future plumbing repairs!

Danny was a nice guy, but his speech was slurred in the AM making it hard to understand him at times, he didn't recognize the true problem we were having (a valve was old and needed replacing but he said the problem was from my water softener. Other climbers confirmed this and fixed the problem), and he surprised us with a service of $275 for just showing up. This fee was never communicated to us beforehand. The appointment was set up over text, and when telling them I was upset by the lack of transparency around the fee, they said, "If cost was something you were worried about, I feel it's the customers responsibility". What an insane response. I went with another local plumbing company who fixed my problem for $225 total.

In…read moresummary, Rick will promise a lot and then ghost/ignore you if he feels he can't deliver on that promise. I got Rick's number from a neighbor for an emergency job to fix my undermount sink that fell into the cabinet below. At first, the experience was great. He came on short notice and we had great rapport, but ultimately Rick finished the job but got adhesive everywhere and damaged the sink in the process. He promised to replace the sink and didn't charge me. First he promised to order the sink himself, didn't respond for a while, and then I had to order it myself after over a month went by. He promised to reimburse for the sink. Then, we agreed to two separate times for installation and he know showed without explanation. It is now five months after the initial attempt at installation, and I still have a damaged sink and no reimbursement for the replacement. You cannot trust that Rick will deliver on what he says he will, and working with him will only lead to unnecessary frustration.

Here's a heads-up about Demoss Plumbing--honestly, it felt more like "Dumass" Plumbing in my…read moreexperience. My insurance company sent them to test my plumbing system for leaks, and they reported no issues with the pressure or drain side. At the time, I didn't know much about the test they were supposed to do. They were paid to perform a hydrostatic test, but it turns out they did a flow test instead. For a hydrostatic test, they're supposed to pull a toilet--which they claimed they did in my guest bathroom, even saying they replaced the wax ring. But the original reusable rubber ring I installed years ago was still there, unchanged.Because of their report, my insurance denied my coverage. During their flow test, they also lost their test ball and mentioned they might need to dig up my yard to retrieve it. Fortunately, they got it out from the street cleanout. Since then, I've paid two other plumbers out of pocket, and both said Demoss's test was done incorrectly. One confirmed the toilet was never pulled, as they had to replace the bolts when they did it themselves and found my original rubber ring still in place. Despite this, my insurance won't cover anything because Demoss's report says they pulled the toilet.I contacted Demoss to ask if they'd correct their report, given the evidence they didn't do the proper test. They brushed it off, saying the other plumbers were just trying to discredit them--even though I didn't mention any names. The person I spoke to, James, said they wouldn't amend their statement, regardless of what happened with the toilet. Now I'm stuck with a $35,000 plumbing bill, and despite fighting with my insurance, they won't budge because of Demoss's report. I hope sharing this helps someone avoid the same frustration and months of back-and-forth with their insurance. If your insurance sends Demoss out, I'd strongly suggest getting a second opinion.

I can cook you just about anything on a best ever level. I can't fix a broken faucet. I don't know what the deal is or why its the kind of skill I'm completely inept at but it is. We had a series of plumbing issues and attempted to get them repaired through our home warranty and I swear the guy they sent out looked like he had been awake for a week and explained he could do the warranty work but I'd need to also pay him for all sorts of out of warranty work. Not wanting to be taken advantage of I promptly sent him away. My wife and I asked around with some of our co-workers and Confidence Plumbing came up. Eddie came out and I honestly must say that I have never had a better experience with any sort of contractor or repairman. Eddie walked me through the work he was doing, explained what was going on and helped me understand everything. It wasn't just that Eddie offered a fair price.. it was that he educated me on my problem, showed me ways to prevent it and really made me feel confident in the work he did. I walked away from the situation with my problems fixed and educated on how to deal with these sort of things much better in the future. Fast Forward a year later we had a few other unrelated problems and my wife called Eddie, she handled the interaction with him this time out, again and we got the same excellent service and fair price.
