We understood that working with insurance companies can be a lengthy and complex process, and we approached the situation with patience. However, our experience with EDP Construction's support staff was marked by ongoing communication issues and unmet commitments. When we reached out for updates on scheduling or next steps, we were frequently told, "I don't have an answer for you now, but I'll get back to you either way by [Monday]." Unfortunately, we never received follow-up on any of the dates they provided--this happened consistently. As of today, July 29, we are still waiting for the warranty and labor/material paperwork that was promised to be mailed to us. We were told on July 10 it would be sent, another promised on the 14th, then again on the 18th, and again on the 24th. This pattern has continued without resolution. I also requested to speak directly with the owner, Ector Di Paolo, and asked to leave him a voicemail. I was told he was out of the country for two weeks and that messages can be provided to him by staff. Throughout the past year, the office staff has apologized many times, but the core issue remains: expectations were set and not met. We were repeatedly given timelines and assurances that were not followed through on, and we've had to continually follow up ourselves to get information that was promised. Based on our experience, I would not recommend working with this company at this time.

I called to have them come over and give me an estimate to repair my roof and gutter. It took them…read morea while to get to me before they came over. I signed a contract with them to get it completed by a certain date. They never kept in contact as to what day they were actually going to come over and do the roof. They showed up and did the roof part of it, but not the gutter part. I didn't hear from him for over a week a week and already past the contract deadline completion date. I also asked him for a quote to do the entire fascia around the house. I never got one. By this time i just wanted him to complete the project. He finally got ahold of me and explained that he had family issues and that's why it wasn't complete. As a costumer, I don't want to hear about your family issues. You're the owner of the company and have a project manager that works for you. If you don't trust the project manager, why have one. Have him earn his money and reach out to costumers if you can't. I was told serval times that they would be out today to finish the job. They never showed until 2 weeks after the deadline. He stated that we just got the materials to finish the job. Again, not my problem. Communication and customer service should be the first thing that needs to be done if you want the customer to recommend your company to other people looking for any roof repairs. Sorry that I have to write a review about this. The owner is a nice guy, but young. Get your project manager more involved in the company and have him reach out to costumers if things are going to be late or problems arise. If you're looking for a company to not call, communicate, or go over the contract deadline. Then use them. I'll go someplace else.

After an interior updating in 2017 we were due for an exterior makeover on our home that's 26 years old. Further, when the old siding was removed we found one third of the house didn't have foam insulation and a vapor barrier in back of the siding. Half the siding crew stopped, got the needed materials, and did the job right. Wow! The icing on the cake? On November 10 we had a bad storm come through and we were concerned about hail/storm damage. I contacted Eldridge right away and Chris, our contact person at Eldridge, came out right away and went over the entire house and the house was fine with just a couple of minor dents in the gutters on the west side of the house. Someone came out and indicated that there was an area that was done incorrectly and that they would come out to fix the issue when it got warmer. We called in April to follow up, but no one returned our call. We continued to call, but where unable to leave a message because the voicemail box was full. In June, we were finally able to leave a message. Someone called and made an appointment to come out. No one showed up. We have left multiple messages, but have not been called back.

We had a terrible mice infestation in a new home we bought in Inverness. Arron pulled out all the contaminated insulation, disinfected, put in fresh insulation and sealed the attics and basement. Arron was able to locate two mouse entry points and sealed them. Fox Valley should be tremendously proud of Arron's work ethic, attention to detail and professionalism. I called Comfort 1st on a Sunday and not only did they take my call on a Sunday, but they fit me in early morning the next day(there was rain in the forecast for the next few days). The technician that came out was knowledgeable and personable, and found that it was not a roof leak but a pvc pipe leak. I was not charged for the inspection, but was recommended some insulation work, based on what he saw. I will absolutely be using them for ANY work in the future.
