They did what they said they'd do, in the manner they said they would, in a timely fashion during a time when customer service has seemed to be a lost art and quality products don't exist. It was nearly impossible to get a callback, and when I did get a hold of someone, they made an appointment and ghosted me! Not Steve with Aaby. The whole experience was awesome. He is professional, passionate about his work, responsive, and a great guy. He spent a lot of time with me and my family, explaining every detail of what they were doing. I'm so happy with the roof, and love how much better it makes my house look! If you need anything relating to roofing or gutters, call Steve now!

I DO NOT recommend this business. They are dishonest and slow. I had a sunroom put in this summer…read more They lied to me about permit requirements: when asked if they had the permit - first they said they did not need one, when pushed they said they had one with the county, when pushed further they ended up getting one with the village 17 days after they started work. They did not get a structural rough-in inspection - they said they called the inspector and explained the build over the phone and was okayed. Village and inspector say no way that occurred. So we have no inspection on the structure - all we can do is hope it was done per code and lasts (already had two cracks in the walls). I asked the project manager at the beginning how long it would take and he said two weeks. A couple of workers there with him said probably 3-5 weeks. It ended up taking 19 weeks. Only two worked on it at a time and spent maybe 9-12 hours per week on the job. There were times a week would go by with no work done. Always excuses on their end. The roof had to be taken down and redone after project manager said it would have a certain pitch but he put up a flat roof. I could go on but I am limited on how long this can be. This company epitomizes "contractor woes"! One thing they were not slow about - they cashed the final check the next business day!! Save yourself the headache and find someone else to do your work.

Ok, I have another review on Yelp giving these folks one star…read more If you read that review you'll see I did not have an initial good experience with these folks. However, after I posted it(they apparently monitor their reviews) Martin called. Essentially they said you're pissed and understandably . Let us make it right. The other work took some time and calls from me to find out what the hold up was. Overall it was a good experience with the noted caveats.

I hired the contractor to replace part of my driveway, as well as my front stoop and the sidewalk…read moreleading up to it. The positives: The contractor got back to me right away and showed up when he said he would. The job was done ahead of the original schedule. The contractor offered a discount for cash payment. The contractor was very nice to work with. The crew did a decent job of cleaning the yard when they were finished. The crew did a decent job on the concrete itself. The not-so-positives: The crew very likely nicked the electrical wiring to my outdoor lamppost when they dug the old concrete up. I had to pay an electrician to repair the damage. Since the electrician wouldn't say for sure that the contractor was responsible for the damage, I did not push the issue of asking him to pay for repairs. The last thing the crew did was install the new railing on the stoop when I was not home. The railings had to be cut to fit for length and balusters fitted on the railing as it was installed. They installed 7 balusters on one of the step railings and 8 balusters on the other, even though the railings are the same size. The difference is fairly noticeable, which is disappointing because it's at the front of my house. One of the crew members said they'd put my post mailbox back where they found it when they were finished, but that didn't happen. There was some minor damage done to the siding when the old railings were taken off the house. To be fair, they did attempt to fix it, esthetically. Overall: They did a decent job on the concrete itself, were responsive, and they were nice to work with. I felt they could have been more careful. I probably would consider another concrete contractor unless I just needed basic concrete work done away from buildings, wiring, etc.
