However, after I posted it(they apparently monitor their reviews) Martin called. Essentially they said you're pissed and understandably . Let us make it right. Helped me get the roof reinspected as well as gutter and siding. As near as I can tell it was quality work (I'm in no position to inspect a roof). The roof got replaced in a decent time frame. The other work took some time and calls from me to find out what the hold up was. Overall it was a good experience with the noted caveats.

He came to fix the ridge after I repurchased the entire house of ridge only to find out that he just nailed through the ridges that were there and took the ridge cap with him. A year and a 1/2 later my customer calls me and has more leaks varying from flashings not being installed correctly to boots still leaking. I had him install a roof and siding on a $10k + project, where the roof had multiple leaks stemming from things like missing step flashing which i'll show pictures of, To then setting ladders on a brand new roof causing holes all over. Hiring him has basically been me allowing him to ruin my reputation and my customers homes. He ruined a skylight when tearing it off by cracking the flashing and just decided to re install it as a see in the picture. That was another leak.

My roof was in really bad shape ( especially the roof over an addition that wasn't installed…read moreproperly and included 2 skylights that were leaking) and I contacted 3 roofing contractors to get an estimate. One contractor told me he didn't think his guys were experienced enough to correct the roof problem over the addition and didn't give me an estimate. The 2nd contractor wasn't sure what he would do until his crew took the old roof off and then they would come up with a plan after they saw what they would be working with but he did give me an estimate. The 3rd contractor was S and S Roofing. The owner, Cary Kroll, came out and told me exactly what would have to be done and provided me with an estimate after he explained how the addition roof would have to be rebuilt and 2 new skylights would be installed to fix the leaking. Cary also advised that his crew nails the shingles by hand and that prevents the nails from going thru the shingle which can happen when you use a nail gun. I liked that as that was part of the problem with my old roof as the shingles had started to slide down. The estimate included complete tear-off and clean-up and I considered the estimate to be reasonable for the work that had to be done. The work was done in about 4 1/2 days and the roof looks great. My wife and are checked for any nails that might have been missed during clean-up and found none. We are completely satisfied with the look of the roof and the expert workmanship by Cary and his crew.

I have called 3 times about a leak that was not there prior to their work. Keep saying they will fix it .... been almost a year now. Even spoke to "the owner". They will also threaten that if you tell anyone the truth, they will not honor their contract. Considering they aren't honoring it now, what is my loss? I plan to sue after Covid.
