If you're not a fan of long reviews, here's all you really need to know about Aaby Construction... THEY'RE ARE ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIC! If you need roofing or exterior work, call them now! If you prefer a more detailed explanation for the 5 star review, this is for you...Two years ago, I noticed some water staining on the ceiling of my kitchen. I had no clue who to call about the issue, but I decided to give Aaby Construction a call due to their stellar Google reviews. Let me tell you that It didn't take long for me to see why so many people recommend them. Instantly, I was given a call back. They were able to come to my home to not only assess, but to repair my issue that same day! A few hours after my initial call and less than $100 later, my problem was resolved.... So, painless. Fast-forward to 2019 when I noticed more damage to my roof caused by animals. Aaby Construction made such an impression on me from the last time I hired them, that I didn't even consider reaching out to another contractor. I couldn't be happier that I looked to them for a second time. I was able to get a hold of the owner, Steve right away. I sent him a text photo of the damage and immediately he urged me to file an insurance claim. He also came to my home and noticed hail damage that I never knew existed, so he urged me to add that to the claim as well. Wouldn't you know it, my claim was approved! I had never filed a homeowners claim before, so I was a little intimidated. No worries, because Steve was involved every step of the way. He was ALWAYS available to lead me in the right direction or he would work with my insurance himself. He made the process easier than I could have ever imagined. The insurance adjuster did not account for several things that needed to be covered in order to do the job correctly. Steve called my insurance and was able to get that taken care of with no problem. Their schedule is busy, but still, Steve was able to squeeze my roof in. From my initial phone call to Aaby Construction to the date my new roof was installed, I think the process only took only a couple of weeks! I'm sure there are other roofing companies out there who do fine work. I have no doubt, but i imagine the thing that separates Aaby Construction apart from the rest is their impeccable customer service. Steve is so responsive. He was ALWAYS available! No more talking to receptionists. No unreturned phone calls. No unanswered questions. None of that. I really appreciated that Steve had no problems with communicating via text, which in my case was very helpful since my job doesn't always allow me to break away to make phone calls. He was constantly keeping me in the loop and responded to all questions and concerns in a timely manner (usually within 5-10 minutes). He never made me feel like I was a burden. In fact, he seemed to actually enjoy speaking with me and educating me on every aspect of the process. As for their quality of work, my roof looks amazing! Steve's crew showed up on time and worked relentlessly throughout the day to get the job done in one day. Due to oversights or just poor work quality from the previous contractor, Aaby made several improvements from what my old roof once had. My family and I left the house late afternoon as to stay out of the way. We arrived back home around dusk and noticed there was still one pickup truck parked in front of my house. Wouldn't you know it, it was Steve who was still working after his crew had already left. He was making several sweeps over my lawn with a magnet to clean up any potential nails that might have been left behind. Think about that now... the OWNER staying late by himself at 8:30pm to make sure that my lawn was left as clean as possible! This my friends is the very definition of going above and beyond for your customer and it truly shows how much Steve strives to serve his customers. He really has a passion for what he does! Love my new roof! We had hail damage this spring from the storms that came through. We started the process with the insurance company and adjuster. Steve came out and met the adjuster and worked very hard to point out the problem areas to make sure that all of the damage was covered. This gave me piece of mind that someone was fighting for me. Steve continues to work with the insurance company if other problems are found during the job. This was one less thing I had to do. My old roof had a lot of problems from the original install and Steve and his crew made sure that all of these issues were corrected. No more worrying about leaks! The work was done very professionally with top notch materials. My house looks 100% better! Steve was extremely fair working with me to keep my out of pocket costs to a minimum while doing some additional work that was above and beyond the hail damage. Due to a recent hail storm we needed to find a roofing contractor. There were lots of roofing signs appearing in our neighbors front yards, but we decided to do our own research and went with Aaby Construction. We made the right choice! Steve came over and was very professional and friendly. He explained the entire process in detail and answered all our questions. What a great experience! I went with Aaby after reading reviews and meeting with Steve. I had gotten estimates from two local big scale roofing companies and was tired of not getting timely responses, or having my questions ignored. Steve kept excellent communication with me all through the process of dealing with insurance (which he completely handled), and constantly checked in with me to make sure I was happy with all repairs and construction done on my home. While they are a smaller company, this in no way affected their ability to handle the work or the amount of time they took to get the job done. We had our home and shed roof replaced by Aaby Construction due to a hail storm claim. He easily navigated everything we needed to do through our insurance company. After the initial claim set up, I never once had to be in contact with my insurance company. Steve took care of the rest. Steve and his crew were very thorough and very professional. After several storms passed thru our area we were finally approved by our insurance company for a roof claim after paying into the policy for over 16 years. The tedious process began of having to get roofing quotes, and it was dreadful. After many emails, phone calls and visits from several OTHER contractors, only one, yes, ONE company was consistent and communicative and made it seemingly obvious there was really no other choice to be had. I can't say enough about how happy I am with my experience working with Steve from Aaby. The professionalism that I experienced was fantastic. I have an old tutor-style home, with a steep roof that several roofers, I could tell we're not interested in tackling. Turns out finding a roofer to do a minor repair is very difficult! I called 4-5 roofing contractors, and Aaby was literally the only one that answered the phone and/or returned my calls. Quote was reasonable ($250, with $50 being for the purchase of a new pack of shingles) and work was done on the day promised. Turns out I did not need the shingles, because the ones I thought had flown off were merely hiding under some others, so that ended up costing me $50 less. I have no doubt that other contractors might not have been as honest, and stuck to the original quote. I highly recommend! read more

Called Aaby construction to come out and look at my roof for possible hail damage. Steve came out and met with state farm adjuster. Claim was denied.....steve recommended a second adjuster come out and take a look. Steve and his guys came back out. And sure enough our roof got approved. Steve worked very hard to get everything done. They did our roof in 1 day. And gutters and downspouts took another day. We couldnt be happier. Steve knows how to get things done and approved. Steve with Aaby Construction worked with my insurance company and determined my roof was damaged by a hail storm. Over the course of two days, they stripped the roof of multiple shingle layers, replaced a few sheets of sheathing, replaced some flashing as needed and re-roofed my house on time and on budget.
