However, after I posted it(they apparently monitor their reviews) Martin called. Essentially they said you're pissed and understandably . Let us make it right. Helped me get the roof reinspected as well as gutter and siding. As near as I can tell it was quality work (I'm in no position to inspect a roof). The roof got replaced in a decent time frame. Here's how they stood out: They had excellent communication. From Angelo's estimate all the way to passing inspection, they were on top of their game. The estimate had every combination of options listed with exactly what they were going to do and photos of the planned work. We were assigned a field supervisor (Justin, I believe?) who would come out on the same day to inspect any issues we brought up. Our contact with the office via Cindy and Anthony was also superb and always timely. The work was done swiftly and well. The roofers were done before I got back from work. Siding and gutters are more involved, but they did excellent there as well and Roman et al. were excellent to work with, took feedback very well (see communication above), and were very hard and efficient workers. All in all, we were done with our project long before other houses in the same subdivision who had all signed up with doorknocker companies, and they delivered a high level of quality. To be clear, their estimate was slightly higher (my gut says 10% higher, but it's been a while since I reviewed the proposals) than some other offers we received, but for the work that we were doing, level of customization, and communication, we wouldn't make a different choice. We ended up with them for a few reasons: - Their quote was competitive - They were able to spray paint the interior trim with our existing paint color - They were able to match the exterior trim as closely as possible to our windows outside - Anthony at Siding & Windows Group was very responsive We placed the order on August 22nd, which is my bday. I can't say new doors was what i wanted for my bday, but i guess this is being a homeowner in your 40s. The new doors weren't installed until November 6th and we just hoped for no big storms and got lucky. Anthony checked in a few times on when they'd be installed and pushed it back a few days due to other projects. The actual installation took about a day, which wasn't too bad. A week later they came to spray paint, which honestly seemed like a much bigger project than installing the doors. That took 2 days and went smoothly, although there was a little confusion about them not knowing what color to paint, etc. It turned out beautifully and while the doors look very similar to our old doors I like the look of these even better. The exterior finish isn't a perfect match, but i think a big part of that is our old paint on our windows as faded. One day we'll touch it all up, but for now we're looking forward to a break in paying for anything for the house. I learned there are a lot of companies in the area for new windows/doors, but we were satisfied with this one and would use them again.

To put in perspective: Home Depot installed the highest end Simonton windows possible with the specs requested and came in at around $7k installed. Which means that HomeSealed has excessive profits padded in. So...if you don't care about the money side, they might be perfectly fine to work with as a local outfit. EDIT: laminated was requested as a cost compare option, not a requirement. Even if laminated were a requirement, Home Depot's was still cheaper by over $3k. Fact is - as we said - HomeSealed is just priced higher because they don't use every manufacturer, they only use the ones they use, which tend to lean the higher cost. That's what we said: they might be fine at their job and you might want the best of whatever, maybe they're fine. BUT...if you're like 95% of homeowners who feel that significant pricing differences for basic things like colors is illogical, HomeSealed isn't for you.

I called multiple places trying to find someone to come out and assess the damage and fix it. A number of places never brothered responding, and a couple actually set up appointments and then didn't show up. After hunting around for more places to call that were decently rated, I came across Holda Construction and I am so glad that I did. They called me back promptly to discuss and asked me to send pictures. After I sent photos, they got in touch and set up a time to come out for a quote within an hour, for the next day. Mariusz came out the next day, as promised (he even called to see if he could come a little earlier than scheduled) and assessed the situation. He explained the options and what his recommendation was- but there was no pressure to agree to the work on the spot- he just asked that I call and let him know if I wanted to move forward, His quote was extremely fair and better yet, he was able to start the work within the week. When I had questions on the contract he sent over, he immediately called to talk through them, and sent an updated quote the same day. The work took two days- the guys took care of everything, including a very thorough clean up- no debris to be found! And our new garage roof and gutters look great- and we now know that they have been properly installed, so we shouldn't have a repeat of the same issues we had experienced before.
