After not having the best experience at the regular salon I went to I decided to give Oasis a try…read more. and I'm so happy that I did. I had usually gotten dip on my nails but Kim convinced me to try hybrid/poly ... again, so glad that she did. My nails feel lighter and stronger. My issue was that the dip would have cracks in it and wouldn't look good. So that's why Kim suggested we try this. I have continued to go see her and every single time I go she takes her time and ensures I like everything before going to the next step. The salon is clean, friendly and they use high quality products. I also love that they use filters when filing your nails so that you aren't breathing in all that dust.

I was referred by a former coworker who told me about builder nails on toes that were misshaped. I wouldn't advise African Americans to go there though! The owner is very discriminatory and will interrogate you over the phone and pretends not to remember you each time you call back to schedule a fill. If you walk in to schedule an appt, she will say they are booked for weeks. When you agree to be scheduled out, she will say to call, only to say they're busy and shorthanded, and tell you to call back! She even recommended I go somewhere else! Do Not Support this business. The owner responded, attempting to discredit my review, so I'll add more context. The last time I called to I book an appt, she told me they were two weeks out. She tried to give me a real early appt on a weekday, I said no, I work during the day. She said I could come on Sat, I said ok. I called the day before to confirm, she said she only had me down for the early weekday appt! I reminded her no, I accepted the early Sat appt. Again she said she didn't see it! I had to remind her of the convo, and she just said ok. Fast forward yesterday, I did call to schedule an appt and asked if there was any openings that day. She said no. No problem. Once again she started to interrogate me. Have you been here before? I said yes. She asked when I explained my initial appt. I told her I had an appt last month. She kept on asking details. I told her it was Labor Day, I'm a state worker, so I was off that day. She allegedly went through the schedule and said she couldn't find me. I told her the lady that helped me said her name was Phu. She said no one by that name works here! I replied, why do you make me feel like I need to prove myself to get an appt and patronize your business. She then tried to refer me to another business across the street! Finally she booked me for next Saturday at 10! I decided after that conversation that this was excessive, and wrote a review! I had no intention on keeping that appt! I realize businesses have the right to refuse service or say they are not accepting new clients. I am ok with that. However the customer service by the owner is unacceptable. I have been using the same tech for years, but she doesn't offer the nail builder service for pedi's , so I wanted to try someone new! Oasis was the wrong choice! Again, I must reiterate the nail techs are excellent! This is not in anyway diminishing the quality of work, just the owners treatment for no reason. I will take ownership, I should've declined to be serviced there! I DO NOT Recommend this business! By the way she called after the review, and suddenly had an opening at 4:18. No thanks!

One time, it wasn't that big of a deal, but it was 20 minutes. Today, it would have been 25-30 minutes and I couldn't do it. I got a sitter specifically for this. I'd so much rather be told no, we can't fit you in when I called hour earlier than have to find out when I'm there. The young gal up front also told me to take a seat to wait when there was absolutely no place to sit. When you are in a tight schedule this just doesn't work. I will try one more time cause they have always been friendly and great quality, but I won't be able to shift yet again with an actual appointment.

Rowena Nails is located inside of Simone Salon/Spa…read more I stopped by for a gel manicure and pedicure. The lady (Rowena) is a recent addition to this salon/spa, acting as the in-house manicurist/nail technician with her little business named "Rowena Nails." The place was pretty quiet when I dropped by. Greeted by 2 other ladies sitting down, waiting for their next hair client. I stated that I had a 12pm nail appointment and they called out to the back for a little Filipino lady, Rowena. The salon itself is a little plain/simple. Doesn't quite feel like it should be called a "spa." Anywho, Rowena was extremely friendly and welcoming. She only had a handful of options to choose from in terms of manis/pedis/gel but i guess that is a good thing because that should mean she's fabulous at her menu items. There are only two pedicure chairs and one was being sanitized from the look/faint scent of it. That is a plus! (You know those little "nail factories" just rinse their foot spas out because they don't have time to properly sanitize and soak the station - they need to get another customer in it right away! YUCK!!!) I began with the "Relaxing Lavender" pedicure. She soaked my feet in a lavender infused bath as she prepped her equipment. The smell is so relaxing! She was gentle and rough when she needed to be. Clipped and filed my toes; and did an amazing job at scrubbing my feet with the pumice stone!! She uses new nail files and pumice stones for each customer. Plus - she lets you take it home to bring back next time. But, who am I joking? I always forget to bring it back with me. She made sure to thoroughly scrub and actually feel my foot to see if there were any areas that needed extra scrubbing/smoothing. I wear a lot of flats to work and she went to town on my heels and sides of my heels. She definitely takes her time, so maybe opt for the express pedicure if you're crunched for time. She also did a lavender scrub/exfoliate on my feet and legs. She told me to not shave my legs before I do scrubs because a scrub (obviously) removes dead skin cells and by shaving your legs prior, the scrub can cause irritations due to the recent shave of hair/skin. So informative! She rinsed off the scrub then applied a cooling masque to my legs and feet. Rinsed off my feet/legs again. Lastly, she applied the lavender lotion to my legs and feet and gave me a great massage. Not like a heavy duty/deep tissue massage but the best I have ever received from a nail technician. She really takes her time to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. I didn't feel rushed at all. Paraffin comes with the pedicures but I opted out because its summer time, there is no need for that additional step. She then, with a cotton ball rubbed a little acetone on my toes, which was to remove any oils/lotion on my toe nails to ensure proper nail polish stick-ing. Now, I am a super picky person. A perfectionist. The nail polish was applied to my toes and at first I was a little upset (in my head) because some of the polish got on my cuticle/skin. Rowena could tell that I was closely watching her and she reassured me she would take care of after all the polish had been applied. She sure did! She took the time and care to make sure the extra polish was removed and she made sure to ask me if I was happy with how it looked. I pointed out a few more spots and she happily cleaned it up for me. That is what I call amazing customer service!! I forget to mention, she even gives you a pair of the toe separators to take home because she does not re-use hers! PLUS! Lastly, I got the gel manicure. A lot of people don't know that gel polish/manicures are "dry" ones. Meaning, they don't soak your nails and they simply cut/file and push/trim cuticles because of the harsh gel that is essentially chemically glued onto your nail. Once again, Rowena took her time filing my nails to the specific length and shape that I mentioned I wanted. Always be vocal about what you want/don't want, never assume they can read your mind. Rowena is more than happy to do exactly what you ask. She didn't have a huge selection of gel colors yet - maybe 20-30? She did mention that she was new to the salon and was still in the process of receiving her products/orders. I choose a perfect tiffany-like-blue. Took 3 coats to get the color to a fabulous layer. She has 2 curing UV light machines so the process goes pretty fast. All in all, this was a great experience. Customer service is amazing. Quality of service is on point. I'll definitely be making this a regular spot.

She told us it was absolutely possible without gel and had us choose swatches. Once we were in the chairs, the story changed. We were told it was "impossible" to do a French pedicure with a base color unless we upgraded to gel - which is not true. French pedicures with colors existed long before gel polish. When we pushed back, we were told a workaround would be done by painting around the white tip to create the base color effect. That also did not happen. Both pedicures were done with clear polish only, which we did not request or agree to. We paid and tipped before going outside into the sun and realizing that we both got clear. We were misled at the front desk, pressured to upgrade, and then given a service that did not match what was promised. If we had been told the truth upfront, we would have left. l've contacted the salon directly to request a refund for both services and will update this review once the issue is resolved.
