I stopped coming for a minute and my last couple visits haven't been the best. I've since learned that ONLY ONE person knows how to do acrylic nails and basic designs or just designs period. I usually come in for a Gel manicure and pedicure. The last two visits I've asked for nail designs and the first time Rachel ignored my request and just painted my nails, no design and the second time she almost forgot and I had to remind her. She then said she couldn't do what I wanted and ultimately gave me something I didn't want. Whatever, I paid for it anyways and turns out she charged me $10 more for some basic white lines followed by glitter. She then proceeded to tell me next time to tell her ahead so she can plan it out. I mean I showed her a pic of what I wanted and said she can't do it but I've gotten the exact same design here before. I probably won't come back to be honest. I'll spend my where it's valued and not rushed. Hire more people if you need it. read more

I want to update my review. So I took my acrylic nails off yesterday and found something on my nails that looks like fungus. This is terrible, because on top of doing a bad job on my nails now I have to go see a doctor to make sure It's not fungus, and if it is i will need to be treated. PLEASE ladies be aware of this place, obviously they are not sanitizing their tools properly. Or how else do you explain the green/black satins on 3 of my nails. read more

I've only been here twice so far and I really like it for pedicures. I have never had my nails done here. The ladies are nice and they do good work. I got a basic gel pedicure and it was $35. The time before I got the deluxe gel pedicure and it was $45. They have different packages to choose from. I got a stamp card for next time. It's five dollars off with four stamps. read more

At Ruby Nails & Spa is they won't squeeze in every walk-in patron into their schedule as most nail salons do. I made an appointment for a mani-pedi and was impressed by the attention I received from my dedicated manicurist. The environment here is extremely relaxing with low calm music, soft lighting, and no blaring TV or conversations held between manicurists in a language I don't understand. I received a paraffin wax and hot stone pedicure and it was such a treat. And as an added bonus the pedicures from Ruby Nails usually lasts up to 3 weeks for me. Ruby Nail & Spa is located on the West side of the Grocery Outlet shopping center. If you happen to be driving south on Riverside Drive you cannot turn left into Ruby's parking lot due to the center island on R. Drive. I got here at 12 p.m. on Tuesday trying to kill time while waiting foe my sister getting her hair done around the corner. I figured I'd get my nails done. I saw their sign while driving so I stopped by. It was completely empty. I told them I just wanted a regular full set so they told me to pick my color. So they told me to sit down at one of the stations and one of the lady came out to do my nails. Let me tell you horrible it was, after applying the fake nails she then cuts it into the length that I wanted. But then turned out one hand is ridiculously longer than the other so I told her. She then cut it again. After that, she moved me to a different station so other lady can apply Acrylic on my nails. But instead she applied Fiberglass! She was saying something in Vietnamese that starting from now on, she will talks everyone into getting fiberglass instead! At that point, I was just wanted to get out as soon as possible. It seemed like she was having a hard time with paining my nails with the color that I've picked. So I offered to pick another color, I picked another similar that I did not like! So the two ladies who worked on my nails were just sitting there and talked about how their nail polishes are really old and crap! Ridiculous!! My nails turned out horrible! I did not like it and do not appreciated the fact that she used Fiberglass instead of Acrylic powder on me without asking! Fiberglass are $5 extra so that was why I chose just regular Acrylics! So this place was originally Buff Nails, and they just recently changed management/ownership. I came in the first time and my nails came out nice and the service was ok. The new management has stepped up on the service and quality a bit. I got a fill and a pedicure. First improvement was that they asked me if I wanted to have my feet and nails done separately. I like to have them done separate so I can relax during the pedicure. On my first visit to the shop under the old management, they just did both at the same time which made it awkward. The lady who did my feet was nice and did a good job, and so did the lady who did my nails.She was very careful with the nail drill and told me to let her know if anything hurt. One thing I hate is getting my cuticles cut by those drills so that was a big plus. Very happy with how my nails and feet came out. Overall a nice relaxing visit to the nailshop and close to home for me versus my old nail shop, so I will definitely be back. New management gets a thumbs up! read more

My first time here, I don't know why I didn't come in sooner..I only live down the street and this place is amazing. I come around noon and I'm the only customer here! I came in for a pedicure and I was given a free hot stone massage on my legs. Vivian did my pedicure and Lena was very polite even introducing herself and asking if I need any water. This was my first visit here and I had a very pleasant experience with the staff. They greet you when you come in and provide you an estimated wait time if you're a walk in. Went in after reading reviews on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Initially went in for eyebrow wax and once that was completed, decided to do a gel manicure. Lena did a great job with the eyebrows and her gel manicure was well done and only took her 20 minutes! Will definitely go back and it's close to my house - can't go wrong!!!! UPDATE: so I have been coming here for about 2 months now and I am definitely satisfied. Lena does an AMAZING job and is always so friendly and does what she can do make sure you're completely satisfied. Along with eyebrows, I now come here consistently to get my nails done and I look forward to it every 2 weeks! Lena has been the main one that I see so u can't speak for the other ladies in the shop, but everyone has always been nice and helpful whenever I go in! There was a customer who came in today and she was quite rude. She wanted to see Lena but Lena is booked up with appointments so the lady complained and made a little bit of a scene. If you want someone in particular to do your nails, make an appointment and as a customer, don't be rude if the nail technician you would like is filled up with appointments. Such a great experience! Everyone was super friendly and helpful. I went there with 3 other ladies and we all got manicures and pedicures. The review from the group was glowing! Jenny worked on me and she gave a friggin great leg massage... she actually worked the tendons and put some great effort into it. When I called to book the appointments they didn't shine me on and tell me to come in only to have me sit there with my feet in water for 45 mins before they got to me... oh no, they were very honest on the phone about their timing so we scheduled accordingly and the moment we got there they were attentive and ready to get rolling on our services. I appreciated the candor because it showed that they wanted to give us enough time for a good experience and not just get us in there to fill seats and turn + burn clients. Soooo much nicer than the place where I usually have my nails done!! They're so nice and very attentive. Always very careful not to cut me with the drill and their full set has lasted me almost 5 weeks now. No chipping or breaking, no loose nails. The girl who does my pedi every time is still learning English but she is the sweetest! I have very sensitive feet but she is very careful not to hurt me, or tickle me. Also, I don't ever get the impression that they're talking crap about me or other clients in their native language. I've been here twice and I can now say that I am disappointed with the results. The women here are nice, but the work takes a long time (ex. A fill took 2 hours). The pedicure was a great experience (the only reason for two stars versus 1). But the gel/acrylic nails are a problem. Not only did I have to coach the woman on quality, but I had to share that the first time my nails only lasted 3 weeks due to falling off. Now it's been a week after my time back and again my nails are coming off- seriously? I will never be returning to this location due to the poor quality. read more

I took my daughter to this shop after she heard about it from a friend. When I took my daughter for her appointment Rachel (the new owner of the shop) I was instantly impressed by the fact that she greeted me promptly. She pulled up a chair and had me sit with my daughter while she got her nails done. The thing I noticed first off was how quiet it was. The girls speak Vietnamese, but they weren't speaking amongst themselves like most shops. The next thing I noticed was how clean the shop was- the most telling point of this was the fact that I could use the restroom and it was spotless. Today I went to get a pedicure , one of the older ladies did my pedicure and literally took 3 hours doing it .. on top of that the salon didn't have any of the gel colors I wanted, like what kind of salon is this .
