Just wow. So, I have gone to this nail salon a couple of times because it is the closest to my home, although there are 3 other nail salons within a 3 minute walk from this establishment. I called them to check for an open walk in which they were available. I get there and asked if they could do cat eyes on my nails. She said yes and got started. When it came time to paint the nails the tech realized that she forgot to bring the magnet. She fumbled around looking for it, and then they asked me to come back tomorrow. I didn't have time to do that so I just decided to get blue glitter gel. She hands me green glitter gel because they didn't have blue. I didn't like the green so I decided to just get regular nail polish. So she puts on a top coat of some sort and sticks my hand under the UV lamp. She puts on the REGULAR nail polish and proceeds to put my hands (with regular nail polish) under the UV light. I was confused and asked her if it was gel. She told me it was regular polish. She puts on a top coat of some sort and sticks my hand back under the UV. She tells me we are done. I asked her if my nails were dry enough for me to get the money out to pay her. She said yes. NOPE. The polish was still super fresh and smudged all over the place, getting on my clothes and my skin. Why? Why were you putting my nails under the UV gel light? Like for what? It doesn't even help with drying. I'm not a nail tech, so I didn't know if there was a top coat you could put over regular nail polish to seal it. I guess not. And so I left the salon with this set of nails. This was in the car right after I walked out. I paid for the service, and still tipped, but I drove directly across the street and had to get them redone. Waste of time and money. I understand that people have off days sometimes, and that is why I still paid and tipped. But I won't be back. Terrible experience. read more

I would give NO stars but I guess I can't .. first I have an appointment at 6:00 and when I get there it took almost 30 minutes for them to finish up the ladies in the chairs... Linda starts on my nails and I can tell right away it doesn't even look like she knows what she is doing. I don't know how many times she filed my nails. I said I wanted a tapered square but didn't even know what that was and she ended up making them round. I told her I wanted long nails and somehow she ended up filing them all the way short to the top of my fingers. She cut all my cuticles so low I was bleeding on multiple fingers and when she sprayed her alcohol on my fingers they hurt and stung so bad. All my nails on my left hand are shorter than my right hand. And my nails are all slanted. My right thumb looks like a big bubble of acrylic. I was originally going to have French tips but she took so long I said forget it, just paint them a nude color. I'm so disappointed and on top of that I went to go pay and they don't take CARD!!! I didn't have any cash or any Venmo/cash app so she tried taking my phone or drivers license for collateral. I said NOPE! So I had to download the app. I DO NOT recommend this place. Cindy was very good at my pedicure. She did an amazing job! And only reason I would go back is for her to do my pedicure but that's about it! NEVER AGAIN! read more

STAY AWAY Came in because the salon next door wasn't taking any clients but i needed to get my nail fixed. Had to wait because I came with my mom but there were only 2 techs and one of them was working on another woman and the free tech started my moms pedicure. Not a problem i'm used to waiting when I don't have an appointment. After he finished with the woman's nails he started mine and he started by literally burning one of my nails, i told him the drill was too hot so he turned it down. Then instead of soaking off my thumb nail (the one that was broken) he just smashed a new tip on top of the broken one. I didn't notice until I left that this left a giant space between my nail and the tip. He didn't shape my nails at all the only filing he did was to get the excess acrylic off my cuticles and finger. I left with lumpy nails and a potential fungus site so i DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND. Also to really top off the cake, I look over to the mans license that was doing my nails and it was EXPIRED. read more

There's 2 nail salons in this shopping square right on the corner of Riverside and Florin. I think that's just wrong to have two, but I digress. I've tried the other and I like this one the best. While I was waiting for my pedicure, I saw them wash and disinfect the basins after their last customers! I never saw the other place do that before they refilled it with water to hurry along with their next customers. That alone gives them 2 stars for cleanliness. I like the lady the best, she takes her time and is very thorough. She always gives us the sea salt scrub and massage for only 22 bucks instead of the listed price of $35. How awesome is that? 2 stars! I'm not sure why I'm reserving to add on the last star...I guess I'm still on the search for the best place. I went here the other day to get an express mani during my lunch break. The place is centrally located, so I can't help but love the location. The staff here is extremely kind and does a good job. I swear it has been so difficult to find a good nail place in Sacramento and I would give this place a shot if you are in the land park area. Numerous air bubbles ! Not happy with my nails. Linda did my nails and she was incredibly nice. But I did not get what I asked for, and the job she did was poor with air bubbles galore and some parts of my nails don't have polish on them. I came in with a picture of how I wanted my nails done. The pic was a French tips with cute glitter patterns on it. She said okay and started my nails. I received a basic manicure and was in the shop over 1.5 hours ! Not until she finished the french tips did she tell me she did not have the glitter to create the pattern i wanted. She should have told me ahead of time that she would be unable to create the design i asked for. So all in all i left the shop nearly 2 hours later and didn't even get what I asked for. read more

I've been coming here at Lifetime nail salon since I moved in Sacramento from Vegas about two years ago. They take such good care of all your manure and pedicure spa. They take their time so you'll be very happy and satisfied when you walk out of their salon. To make my story short, my bff turned me on to uv nail gel and been getting done in Vegas, and its so in right now. No pain, odorless, no fungus, and they last atleast 3 to 4 weeks. A little pricey, but its well worth it. So any how, I've searched around the bay area and Sacramento area, but found so little places that does it. So I went back to Lifetime nails the other day, and my wonderful manicurest did uv nail gel for me and he is the best!!! He actually professionalize in acrylics, but he does superb in uv nail gel if you request it. So if you're ever around the Riverside and Florin Rd. area, or looking to get your uv nail gel; I highly recommend "Lifetime Nails." Make sure you ask for Linda or Tony. I'm disappointed that I even came here! I called prior to coming in and the lady told me someone was available to do my gel-manicure. I already knew that once the lady started to put on my polish, she was going to do a horrible job and sure enough she did. As soon as I was going to pay, I hand the lady my card and told me they don't accept cards, cash only. No one told me that over the phone. She advised me to go to the Wells fargo ATM that was across the street and I don't bank with Wells fargo, so I got charged $3 for withdrawing money out along with a fee my bank charges on top of it. It's my second time here and I love it!!! Every time I come, there is no one here which at first I questioned their service but after the first time I can say it's safe and a great place! It's only two people in the shop; the owner and another lady, and they are very nice and do an awesome job! They take their time with one and not to mention the massage they give you!!!!! I've never been to a place where they actually take the time and give you an actual leg massage, which honestly that's what made me come back. It was that amazing!!! Pedicure was more painful than relaxing. She used the cuticle cutting tool on my heels and it hurt. She also caused pain several times while clipping my toenails and cuticles. Painted my toes and left me in the chair with the paper towels between the toes and moved on to the next customer. After a few minutes the a man asked if I wanted to leave. I asked if I needed to wait for the polish to dry and he said "you can do whatever you want." I wanted a while and she never came back to remove the paper towel so I started doing it. After I got one foot done the man came over and started helping. He smuggled one while putting on my shoes. Instead of redoing it, he tried smoothing it out and putting more polish on top. I would not recommend. I walked in and James did my nails. I needed a fill and two repair nails. The fill was thick and the two nails that need to be repaired were horrible! I had to take off the nail and redo it myself. you could see how bumpy it is and he filed so much that it made it dent in the nail. even after he saw how messed up it was he proceeded to just paint over it in hopes that it would fix it. read more

I got a pedicure which includes the sea salts etc. Shortly after soaking my feet /pedicure she picked up the phone to let her next appointment she would run 30 mins late and that impressed me because she was considerate of her next clients time, and she didn't have to rush through mine and/or have her appointment client wait. I've been going here for years. The chairs are new with the massage mechanism-thing inside them and the place is always clean and has been updated nicely. I always see them clean the basins after each customer- which is a huge plus. The lady (Linda) who owns Lifetime nails always does a really good job- she is very thorough. This place only had one person working and she was very hard to understand. They only had one guy that could do gel nails and when they couldn't get him to come in (they said he lived 10 min away) they asked me to come back the next day. I found a new nail place today. Linda at Lifetime Nails did a great job on my fingers while Cindy worked on my toes. Cindy recommend I replace my nails since she said my "old" nails were looking yellow. Eek!! I got a new full set with fiberglass fill and gel polish on my hands. I also got a pedicure with gel polish. I paid a total of $75.00- this is very inexpensive compared to other nail places where I have walked out $115 later!! read more

I've lived down the street from this place for 5 years and never thought to go in because I really love my regular spot. So, one day this week I was looking to get my nails done after work (around 6:00pm) and decided to stop in here. I was greeted by the owner, Linda, who was in the middle of doing a pedicure on her client. I asked for a full set and she said yes that it would be a while because her other employees were gone for the day. I said ok, and waited for her to finish with the client. This took about 1 hour, I believe she had just begun prior to my arrival. I was okay with this because it was late in the day and if I'd gone to my regular shop as I had the day before, I may not have been seen until much later (this is why I left and waited until the next day). Linda, her client and myself all talked while she was doing the pedicure so time seemed to pass fairly quickly. When she did begin doing my nails, she engaged me in conversations and I quickly found out why her regulars continue to come here. Linda was quick, so kind and very thoughtful. I got a full set with simple polish ($25). My nails came out great! Linda's shop was clean, she kept making sure that the temp was ok for me, offered to put the tv on whichever channel I wanted, and spoke highly about her customers and how she's enjoyed doing this work for 25 years. Overall, I can say that I'd recommend this shop to anyone looking to get their nails done in a decent amount of time, have them look great (and not too thin or too thick) while meeting and talking to a sweet nail tech. I wouldn't recommend this place. Unfortunately, I read an old review and decided to go. I went in for a French tip pedicure and told the lady that I liked my toe nails square. She made them round and did a horrible job such that I'm in pain 2days after bc she cut the side of my nail too deep . If they cut it wrong you can end up w an ingrown nail, which I hope this isn't the case for me. I'm in serious pain. Don't go here!!! read more

The salon is clean, and they follow proper procedures to keep you safe and healthy. The owner and others who work there are kind and friendly, and the atmosphere is very quiet and relaxing. They usually have a television on at medium volume, but they'd surely turn it off if you asked and no other customers objected. Their massage chairs work and are comfortable. The pedicure includes a foot and leg massage and there are no extra charges for a full service pedi. Note: they only accept cash, so be prepared for that. Love it when your nail lady listens to your wishes in terms of color choice and design! I went in for black tips with sparkle overlay and got exactly what I wanted. Linda also did an excellent job on my ragged cuticles and the pedicure massage was extra long, soothing, and came with bath salts. Another big plus for me was the customer service - there was no making me wait to get to other customers or long phone calls in the middle of my time. Most of all I appreciated being heard in terms of what I wanted (as opposed to being pushed or misunderstood like some other places - no I don't want my hands and feet to match, no I don't think white tips are better, etc). read more

I've gone to Lifetime Nails in the past for pedicures and have always been pleased with Linda (the owner). Lately, I have not been able to get Linda without an appointment. I drove by the other day and there were no customers so I stopped in. Still couldn't get Linda because she had appointments coming up. Decided to try the new gal. First thing I noticed was they put me in a massage chair that didn't work. Second thing was no hot water - brrr! The gal did an OK job, but what I liked about Linda was how she trimmed my nails. This gal barely trimmed anything but somehow managed to make my big toe bleed. I've tried Buff and will continue to try shops in the area until I find what I'm looking for. read more
