I made an appointment and came in thinking this was a different salon and not realizing I'd already been here before and left a review (thanks, pregnancy brain!) I got comfortable, flipped the massage chair on, and relaxed. The technician came out with her tray of tools, and I stupidly ignored the first red flag of the tools not being prepackaged after sterilization. The nail file she was using also seemed used. After my pedicure and as the polish was drying, I saw that she simply poured alcohol on a used rag to quickly wipe down the tools she JUST used on me. This leads me to believe that they just briefly wipe down their tools after every client, which is incredibly disgusting and unsanitary. read more

It's so hard finding a reasonable priced nail salon in Sac! Stumbled upon this place-- it's on Free Port right next to Marie's Doughnuts and the subway. I was able to walk in on Saturday morning right at 9 am without an appointment. The lady who did my nails I feel terrible I don't know her name.. was super sweet. I just told her I wanted dip with a design! She said it would be $50 $10 extra for the design! I told her no problem! I like my nails! I also like the inside of this place! Literally so amazing! I came in with kind of a difficult design and was worried that it wouldn't be possible, but they did amazing and my nails turned out perfect! Super cost friendly, $60 for a fill, color and design on all nails plus fixing a broken nail. It saddens me that I have to write this review. I've been coming to this salon since I moved to Sacramento 2 years ago, and they've been great. I always get a gel manicure and pedicure. The paint job is clean and isn't bulky, just the way I like it. However my last visit resulted in me getting a toe infection. It's been two days and my toe is still throbbing, swollen, and releasing fluids. It is now making me question the sterility of their instruments. Before coming here you should definitely ask whether they autoclave or sterilize their instruments. Unfortunately I won't be coming back. read more

I love this place but there's a nail tech here who is incredibly aggressive with how she uses all the tools. I don't necessarily know everyones names so I don't ever ask for particular techs nor do I schedule ahead of time so if I show up I get whoever is open. The few times I've gotten this tech I have gotten my finger/toe cut EVERY time with her. So just beware, it is a really great business and they use high quality polishes. It can be an unfortunate experience if you end up going your first time and get the wrong tech. read more

Pretty disappointed at this experience- I walked in and they took me immediately. I needed a fill. The women took four different personal phone calls, assuming distracted she sawed the side of my pinky until it bled. Used the super nail glue on it, touched the wound and the proceeded to put the cap back on and place it in its original spot.... Extremely unsanitary. Now she used the drill, of course. Last year I found this place off a Yelp search of the top nail salons by my friend's house. It was raining - perfect timing to sit back, relax, and get an awesome pedicure. Ironically I'm here again on a rainy day with my friend, finally getting around to cashing in my gift certificate and writing this review to give this cute shop credit for yet another great experience. For starters, this place is impeccably clean. Spotless, actually, and they use liners for all of the pedicure bowls. The chairs are fantastic, and they keep the vibe relaxing with soft music and the tv on mute. Every technician is skilled here, so don't worry who you end up with. The owner, Loren, runs quality control. Although I don't come here often because it's far from where I live, they do such a great job here I don't mind cheating on my regular nail salon with Majestic. I really liked this nail salon but the lady who just did my nails was really sick and kept coughing all over me while doing a pedicure. I'm 37 weeks pregnant and they put the sick lady with me. Will not be coming back. I think her colleagues were arguing with her about being that sick at the work place and I heard her say Covid, then heard her saying if you want to go home go home to the coworker who was complaining about her being sick. Very unprofessional and just messed up. The water, wax, and stones were so hot. I kept telling her until I got tired of telling her. I came here last month for a manicure and pedicure. I wanted to try dipping my nails for the manicure, but have a regular pedicure. I informed the woman this is my first time having my nails dipped. She proceeded to file, cut, and buff my nails only. She then dipped all of my fingernails. After that, I went to the massaging chair for my pedicure. I received a pedicure as I have had in other salons (i.e. nail trim, buff, massage, etc). At the end of the services, I was charged $40 for the pedicure which I chose from a menu. And I was charged $33 for the manicure where there was no listing of prices anywhere in the salon. I talked to a few friends who have had their nails dipped. I thought $33 was expensive for this service especially since I didn't get a massage with the manicure. I wasn't sure if there is something specific with dipped polish that may interfere with the products used for a massage. My friends informed me that a massage comes with the manicure regardless if dipped polish is used. I feel cheated, because I believe that since I informed the woman this is the first time I would be receiving a dipped manicure she abbreviated the service. Amazing pedicure! I'm from out of state and visit california semi-frequently and I've gotten about 5 different pedicures at different salons here, and magestic is the best! The cleanest gel pedicure I have ever gotten. Gel was applied a hair away from my cuticles with precision. Price is great too! I got a hot stones massage, scrub, mask, hot towel ($42) with gel (+$10) for $52! Incredible. Whenever I'm back in town, I will come again! read more

Wish I could give it no stars. This is by far this is the worst place to get your nails done. We had an appointment for 4 pedicures and my 6 year old niece wanted to get her toes and hands painted. We were greeted right away and the front deck personnel spoke pretty good English. She took us to get seated. The two mail technician came out arguing and opened super hot water for my feet. It was awkward but we didn't want this to get in our way for girls day. First off my nail technician did not trim my nails or cut off the cuticles. She scrubbed a little bit for the dead skin. When she waited my toes, she did not cover the entire toe nail. I'm so disappointed to have paid an extra $10 for gel nails just to have half of my toes painted and the gel came off on the second day. My 6 year old niece paint job was a joke. They had nail polish all over her skin. We went home and took the entire polish off. My sisters had the similar experience with there nail technician. 1st visit: Walked in and was seated right away. I got to select my color and they started. My nail tech didn't talk much but I was totally okay with that. I like to play with my phone so it was fine. Took about an hour for my pup pink and white ombré. The shape was perfect and usually I have to reshape my nails once I'm home. The ombré was actual ombré and looked really nice. I got my full set the day after Christmas (12/26) and my nails lasted with no breakage, chips or lifting for over a month. I look my nails off on 1/31 due to growth. AND, all I paid was $45! 2nd visit: I called prior to coming this time because I really wanted my nails done here. I was able to come in right away (Friday at 10:30). The name is apt. They're helping me fix the atrocities committed upon my nails at 2 different salons since arrival (I am insanely picky about my nails. Some may not have considered them atrocious.). Perfect job on my manicure. 10/10 will do again. Excellent waxing services. 10/10 will come again and even get my legs done here for my 6 month leg waxings. (Very little leg hair do I have even after 6 months. Even after 1 year.) Pedicure was amazing and the massage chairs actually massage you. This is my favorite spot for pedis. I have yet to get a full set of nails because I'm trying to get my natural nails healthy. Anyhow.... I've been here a few time for the "luxury pedi". It's about an hour process of soaking, rubbing, scrubbing, clipping, filing, painting, etc. Very nice and relaxing. They drop some fancy dried fruit into your foot bath. Along with some sort of oils and such. They use hot rocks to massage your legs. Lotions, oils, scrubs... and my all theme fav, the foot wax. Yes it's hot, but your feet have never felt better! So luxury it is ;) luxury is the highest package for 37 ;) comes with pedicure, cutting nails, color, paraffin wax, hot stone, longer massage, and cooling and sweet scrub for the legs. . So the pedicure was ok. They did a good job of cleaning my foot and making it brand new. They did take good care of my ingrown nail. Although they did a minor cut on my little toe, and when they applied alcohol it stinged.... . The massage could be better maybe with a little more pressure would have been great. Didnt feel like the massage was alot longer than normal but it was meh. . The pro inside is that they are clean and have alot of people working so wait time is cut down alot. The con is the parking which is in a neighborhood with narrow streets. . Overall they did the job. Will be back when I need another one when I need one desperately. Summers almost here, ladies and gents make sure to get those pedis! Walked in and it was pretty packed. They were able to seat me in 10 minutes. $32 for the Luxury pedicure which was worth every dollar. I think that's pretty standard, even cheap for a pedi they includes mask, massage, paraffin dip, and hot stone rub. Very thorough with the pedicure. She did a phenomenal job! Wish they had more colors to choose from for Standard polishes. I ended up going with a bright turquoise that turned out really cute. They also have the massage chairs, which is a must when getting those feet done. The Parking lot is small, there's a few 10 minute parking spots, the workers said it's ok to park there. There's also residential parking nearby. For the win it's located next to Freeport Bakery. Go spoil yourself, grab some dessert afterwards. read more

I went to Majestic nails on Sunday, Oct 11, 2020 around 2-3pm. They charged me $40 for a blush pink acrylic nails in medium size coffin shape. The lady who did my nails was really nice and the owner is really sweet too. However, I'm giving this place a two stars because the pinky nail broke off within 1-2hrs after I walked out of their nail shop. I tried to call them multi times around 4:20-5pm but I noticed that they were closed. My middle finger nail fell off 4 days which is today, Thursday! I really wanted to give them a higher rating since everyone was so friendly, but the product/ work that I received wasn't the best. read more

I initially came in needing a fill but I told the lady who was assisting me that I may need a whole new set instead and she managed to "salvage" the nails and ended up doing a fill. The day after my pointer finger began coming off and two days after the owner of the shop fixed it. When I left the shop, my middle finger and pinky began popping off at the base as well. When I called, the owner asked me why I didn't say anything before and I stated it literally began popping off. I'm happy the owner of the shop fixed the pointer finger with no extra fee or anything but this would be my third time coming back to the shop just to get them fixed. read more
