I'm writing to address the experience I had at your salon today, which was not only disappointing but completely unacceptable. I have been a loyal client for over a year, consistently spending over $100 per visit, and I have always come in respectfully, communicated clearly, and expected the level of service that matches the price I pay. Today, a nail tech abruptly took over my service and immediately told me I "should go somewhere else" because I'm "never satisfied." I have never raised my voice, insulted anyone, or behaved disrespectfully. I simply expect quality for the price I pay. She went as far as saying the staff "gets scared" when I come in, which is not only unprofessional but completely false. Throughout the past year, I've also noticed that the staff frequently speaks in their language while looking directly at me or other clients, creating an uncomfortable environment where customers feel talked about instead of respected. This has happened every single time I've visited. To make matters worse, shortly before my service was finished, I overheard another woman complaining about her nail tech as well, proving I'm not the only customer experiencing issues. When I requested a small discount due to the disrespect I received, the salon refused. No apology, no accountability, and no professionalism. After a year of loyalty and hundreds of dollars spent, this is how I was treated. This salon is behind McDonalds near Howe and Fair Oaks, not the one next to Raley's. It's not new and as posh as some of the others in the area. They don't serve mimosas or drinks. The service is always good. The technicians are friendly. They never seemed like they are rushing through clients and I have good experiences when I come. Best of all, they are the only salon in the area that uses OPI regular polish, rather than the cheap DNC. I don't normally get gel, and never acrylics or dip. Therefore, I don't know what they use for those services. The prices are good. I paid $70 dollars for the top pedicure and mid range manicure, but they can be as low as $50. It's probably the best price in the Arden/Sac State area. read more

I called to make my mom an appointment. I spoke with a man and told him specifically what I wanted for my mom. I requested a gel pedicure and told him the main reason she needed one was for callus removal. I asked him what they did to remove callus and he explained it to me. He also assured me that they can remove it. When my mom called me while getting the pedicure, disappointed, I was so irritated. She said her callus looked exactly the same as when she walked in. She was arguing back-and-forth with the man I spoke with. He had the nerve to tell her that her feet were "cracked" so that's why they couldn't do a good job. We have been getting manicures and pedicures for many years. There are different ways to remove callous and other places always remove properly when we pay extra for it or request it. I would not recommend this nail salon as they are dishonest and argumentative with customers. When she came and showed me her feet, I was so Pissed off and I removed her callous myself. read more

I don't do anything major with my hands but simply washing my hands I've had 3 fall off. If you know gel x they're supposed to be impossible to come off. I've had sets that I had to go get taken off because how much they stick on but not here... honestly not worth it I'm super disappointed I need to get a new set some where else. I made an appointment for November 12th, 2023 at 10am for a pedicure & full set acrylic for my mother's birthday. Me & my mother got there 10 minutes early. We were patient and told them we could wait. Lady at the front asked appointment or no? I told the lady I had an appointment for Tracy 1, they looked at us confused and I showed them proof that I had an appointment, it looked like no one wanted to help us. One of the lady which I assume is Tracy 1 was talking in Viet pointing to tell someone else to help us when I requested her. The vibe was all off, They all started talking in viet crazy (which is normal) but some random person helped us instead. My mother's experience: she didn't like it, she wanted a specific color and they decide to give her something else. My experience: the lady who helped me was nice, I showed her a photo on how I would like my nails, but the nails turned out okay, it was not shaped well, painted well & looked bumpy. I am very picky with my nails. I am paying a lot for a person to do my nails and It didn't live up to my expectation. I lost my old one a while back, and it had been years since I was able to find a replacement. I was most impressed when she made sure the water I soaked my hands in was warm enough. She made sure my nail shape was up to par after she filed. I was super happy. Nina gives THE BEST pedicures. She's meticulous and gives GREAT massages. Never leaves me disappointed because she knows I'm so particular. I've only had to go to other places when I'm not in town, and no one can do pedicures like her. Maybe I'm spoiled by my normal salon but they have drops they put on when this happens. The lady who did my nails refused to make conversation with me even when I tired to have a conversation with her. She also was very aggressive with my nails, my fingers were sore after. I have been coming here for quite some time now. I like their pedicures and occasional manicure. The most recent time, I got tips on with dip. But developed some sort of allergy over time to dip and gel. I went in to have the tips and dip removed and the nail tech only soaked one hand, and removed the dip from the other hand with a drill and an extra plastic nail tip that she ran under the dip and ripped off. It was extremely painful. I told her it hurt and she began drilling again which caused my nail bed to burn. I already warned her my nails are sensitive and they need to be soaked. She rushed through my manicure and didn't take the time to get all the cuticle skin off. I probably won't be getting my nails done there. Only pedicures from here on out. read more

I called and made an appointment for a dip power mani and a deluxe pedi. Which the guy on the phone was nice and scheduled it for me. I arrived and was greeted, told him I had an appointment and what services I asked for. He then calls out a ladies name and she comes out, they talk in their language and a few seconds later told me to have a seat at the spa chair. I take a seat, and there are 2 ladies who came over. One for the pedi and the other for the mani. The lady doing the mani must've have been lazy and did not want to do dip powder for me because she said, "oh honey why you don't do gel better? It faster for you and easy for me". Ok, whatever, I do the gel no biggie. So she hands me the stack of colors to choose, not even a minute into me looking she was trying to decide the color for me. I opted to do French since it goes with everything. As she's cleaning my nails, she barely even did anything, just a little filing here and buffing there, and cutting cuticle. Now it's time to paint. This whole time she's being nice calling me sexy lady, beautiful girl, don't worry I will make your nail pretty. She applied the base coat and now she started to do the white line. I should have known after the 2nd finger that this was not gonna go well. I asked her multiple times to fix the line bc they were so uneven, she gets mad because I'm asking her to fix it. So after the first hand which she clearly saw the middle finger was messed up she still applied top coat. At that point I just gave up and said it is what it is, I'm not gonna make a big deal. My nail work is good but the polish never dried and peeled off throughout the day into the night. Staff is AMAZING & always accommodating. This place is clean efficient. I love it when they do my mani at the same time as my pedi as I hate sitting for too long. This location is just down the street from the new one and is almost as big. They have plenty of nail technicians working and I was thrilled to walk in and be helped right away. I came in for a color change and was on a bit of a time crunch. Really, I had an hour to spare in between appointments so, I let Emma know and she assured me I would get out on time. This place has gone downhill with their acrylic sets. This was defined not worth the money. The women worked on my nails for over an hour and THIS was the result. I have nails polish on my skin, nail shape is lopsided, they are shorter than I asked for and most nails are different sizes. I tried getting them fixed but it was too far gone. I wanted to have a great experience before I take off tomorrow. I was given a $50 gift certificate and so I wanted to apply it towards a full set and a pedicure. I was disappointed when I found out that they raised their prices and I ended up having to pay an extra $25 on top + a $10 tip to the ladies that did my work. They were wonderful this review is specifically for pricing and not being told until I got up there that it depends on the length and what services I want. Mind you my service was a basic full set , no polish, one that was a decent length, and a basic pedicure. The girl at the register said that my full set won't last a month I'll need to come back in 2 weeks for a fill. I just paid close to a $100!? If you tip your lady in cash beware because if you don't leave a tip at the front she'll straight up ask you why you didn't leave tip and gets low key aggressive about it. It really is a hit or miss if you get a good pedicure. Today was not bad. I like my nails. I get a gel pedicure and pretty much every time I come it's a different price so I can't even tell you how much it cost. I've been going to this KB Nails location since 2012. My friend usually does my gel manicures but KB is my go to for my deluxe gel pedicures. Even when the previous owner opened the "newer" location in the Raley's Fair Oaks Blvd shopping center, I still preferred this location. I was a little worried when ownership changed in 2019 because I didn't know what to expect since I was already a long time client. Well I was worried for nothing because some of my favorites nail techs were still there and the nail salon went through a wonderful makeover in my opinion. I loved the bright modern decor that the new owner brought in. And I was very happy some the nail techs had also stayed. I actually moved to Rancho Cordova in 2015 but I still continue to drive to KB for my pedicures because I love the service I have received throughout the years. I love the deluxe pedicure and it's worth the extra price. My KB pedicures have always consisted of the necessary foot & leg exfoliation, great meticulous cuticle care, relaxing foot & leg massage, and pretty polish. My friend does nails so she's my actual go to person for my gel manicures but when she's on vacation or can't fit me in, I'll go to KB nails and they take care of me as she would. My go to nail techs are Christine (OG since I started going in 2012), Hanah, Amber and Emily.
