First timer. Walked up to the salon and door was closed. One of the guys who works there opens it with a key. There's only two people working. The salon looked so empty as if they're closing their business. The lady finished on another gal so she started giving me a pedicure. The guy then walks up to me to give me a mask to wear. I'm like is this 2019? The lady proceeded to give me a pedicure. The massage was lame. She didn't even say anything to me besides if I liked the color that I picked out. My whole experience sucked. $42 for a gel manicure. I should've just gone somewhere else at that point but it was too late to leave. She didn't even clean up my cuticles correctly and processed to apply gel nail polish. Today is day two and of course the gel already came off on one of my toes since it was attached to my cuticles that she didn't remove. Never going back. No wonder nobody goes here! read more

This is the best nail shop I have found. I have never had a problem with them ever since I started going to I gel nails stay on for months at a time the people that work there are great. They have so many colors you can't even Choose. It's to the point where I tell the lady that does my nails. I her you choose whatever color or whatever because that's how much of a bond we got and it always comes out great and honestly, I've been having my nails done for the last since 15 I think 16 years and they were like around the 15 $20 mark and that's about how much they charge there they're not wonderful priced they don't overpriced and if you decide to go there, their address is 4100 Suite 106 FL 32935. I'm one of those girls who never gets her nails done (last time I got a manicure was before gel was even invented) I've also never had any sort of fake nails done either so I was nervous, but Diane's did the most incredible job. Diane's is located in a small strip mall in the Greenhaven/Pocket neighborhood. Parking can be crazy (depending on the time you go), because Diane's shares a parking lot with a busy 24 Hour Fitness. It's a small nail shop with nice ladies, comparable prices, and provides great work. I rarely get my nails done, but when I do, I prefer a regular manicure and a tropical pedicure (includes an exfoliating scrub & soothing cooling cream!). The nail polish color selection is good, not great. The ladies are very pleasant an personable, yet aren't too chatty. They put a lot of time and effort into your hands and feet, which I like. They also pay close attention to detail to ensure there are no blemishes in your finished nails. Dianes and Hollywood nails are both good salons. They work harder in one day than many people work all week. I read some of the worst reviews from some of the shallow gym rats and I just shook my head. Maybe they are so self focused they have no idea how much effort goes into working 7 days a week in your own small business. We yelpers should all support small biz and put 24 hr out of business. I noticed Diane's Nails hasn't had a review in a while and they have had some changes. I'm not a frequent client but I do like to stop there for my special occasions that come up. I've gone to other nail salons but I always end up back here. For 1) it's close to my house, 2) I've never had a problem and 3) price is reasonable. I've recently visited with my mom. It was her first time and I was hoping she'd enjoy this pedicure. We both decided the spa pedicure and it was nice and relaxing. Like I mentioned I don't get my nails done frequently but from what other reviewers stated in 2009...since then, they have replaced their massage chairs, furniture, drying station and added a big, flat screen tv. The service is still great. They are friendly and even though we made reservations, "walk-ins" came in and we still got our full on treatment with no rush. Some people get scared of cleanliness w/ nail salons but they clean their pedi tubs and also wear gloves while treating you. The price is reasonable and the staff have been there for years. So I just got back from the gym and I'm taking off a star because the lady dug too deep (I wonder how much deeper she would have gone had I not stopped her) and the right side of my left toenail started hurting like a mofo while I was on the elliptical machine. I hope it gets better soon so I can go to the gym tomorrow. I WILL NOT BE BACK. ********** Came in for a pedicure today. Chose a color from a wall of cheap nail polish. Where was the OPI? Also, the massage chair was old and needs to be replaced. Bad nail polish and weak massage chair. Strike 1. I have a pretty high threshold for pain, but the lady made me say "OW" out loud. She was really rough with my feet, and at one point, I had to ask her to stop digging under my big toenail. Strike 2. They use really cheap stinky lotion. I tried to wash the gooey crap off TWICE after I got home. First with soap and water and when it didn't come off, I then used shower gel and my loofah to scrub it off. The lady had strong hands and took her time, so the massage was pretty good. 1 star for that. I have a bruise under one of my toenails, so I've been using dark nail polish to cover it up until it grows out. As she was applying the first coat, I asked her if it would cover the bruise, and she assured me that the 2nd coat would do the trick. Just as predicted, the 2nd coat did NOT cover the bruise. She noticed, didn't acknowledge it, and tried to put on a 3rd coat to cover it. Come on lady, I'm not blind. Needless to say, the 3rd coat did nothing. Not only can you still see the bruise under the polish, but one big toe is darker than all the other toes. Strike 3. Other than that, my toes look pretty nice. We'll see how long they last though. Another star...for now. $18 for a pedicure. $3 tip. I paid and got the hell out. read more

3 to 3.5 stars Hidden spot within the 24 hr fitness center, right next to Rosie Day Spa. Definitely an Asian nail salon, with a wide variety of polish (but the OPI in a separate section - perhaps for an additional charge). Some of the nail polishes had the layer of clear liquid on top, which tells me it's old. Their seats are usually decently full when I head over for waxing, so I'd assume they keep busy. I've only had waxing done by them before; mostly eyebrows. The same one lady works on me everytime, and today I confirmed that she is the only one that does waxing here as of now. Quick. 5 minutes? 7 minutes tops? I'm a total germaphobe, so it helped when she put on a pair of latex gloves after transitioning to her mani-pedi client over to me. It also helped that I saw her throw that pair of gloves away after. Plus. Put some stuff on. Wax. Tweeze. Trim. Put some more stuff on. I do wish that she had trimmed back even a little more, as I carefully examined it when I got home. But in her defense, she did ask me to check before I left and I said it looked fine. I always say it looks fine 99% of the time because I trust that when they believe its done; its done. Overall, a convenient place to go to whenever I'm in the area and feeling lazy to venture further. A decent job for $10 before tip. I might consider trying the place next door however. Nice lady and they have never refused me as a walk-in, so I will consider coming back if I'm having another lazy day. read more

I love going to Diane's Nails because it's clean, the ladies are friendly, and the convenient location to my home. The prices are comparable to most of the Vietnamese owned nail salon businesses in the Sacramento area. Located in the same complex as Ravenous Cafe, 24-Hour Fitness, and Vientos Restaurant. The nail salon takes cash and check, but does not accept credit cards. I've had manicures and spa pedicures done for the past several years at Diane's Nails. No bad experiences to mention. There appears to be a very low turnover amongst the staff, which is a good sign. They take walk-ins too. Nail polish is standard brand and the nicer OPI brand is extra. Salon also does acrylics, fills, and hair removal waxing - never done any of these so I can't comment. read more

Sometimes I pop in here if I'm going to the 24 hour fitness location a few doors down and my nails always look great even as they are growing out! There is no bump where my natural nail is growing out from the fill so I love how they do that! My fill seems to last longer that way. I love their skill! You know how they say "You get what you pay for?" ... that's how I feel about Diane's Nails in Greenhaven. In all honesty, I have very mixed feelings about this place. I paid $18 for a Spa Pedicure (although a Pedicure and Spa Pedicure are the same price... strange) and $14 for a mani. Somehow my end bill resulted in $30 though? I didn't bring it up... you'll know why as you keep you reading. I decided to try this place out based on my iphone GPS listing this place closest to me and b'cuz of the previous reviews. I show up to Diane's Nails on a Sunday afternoon. A five minute wait... great. I'm standing around choosing my color and I get my first disappointment. Cheap nail polish. Most of which seems to be decades old. If you want to use the nicer OPI nail polish, you have to purchase it first for $6 and then they will apply it for you. Boo! I sit down and the woman starts to fill the tub with water. I look around and start noticing my surroundings. Not so hot. The furniture and art is circa 1985 and needs dire need of attention and updating. Oh well, not that big of a deal. This place is quiet, like most other nail salons, I suppose. So I can't help but eaves drop on the man at the counter getting ready to pay for his daughter's manicure. He handed the lady behind the counter his credit card. "We don't take credit card" the lady snaps back -- Odd! There's a credit card machine behind the counter, and a sign is posted on the window... They go back and forth for a minute or two and have a very awkward conversation. Everyone is listening and watching at this point. Another woman getting her nails done who is sitting close says "Oh, well that's how I was going to pay" and I echo the same sentiments. Because three of us have now stated that's how we were going to pay, they decide to accept his payment. Damn skippy...or we wouldn't have paid! The lady hands the credit card slip to the man to sign and says "We accept tips" ... LOL. I'm thinking "is she for real?" First of all, you rudely tell him you don't accept cards and then go back and forth saying the same thing over and over again and then ask for a tip??? I felt so embarrassed for the guy... he was trying to be polite throughout all the awkwardness but couldn't understand her very thick accent and kept repeating himself, which angered her. Finally he leaves and everyone who is getting their nails/feet done just kind of look at each other in this awkward silence. It got worse. The lady who said she didn't accept cards, then starts telling the lady who's nails she's doing, the reasons why she doesn't except cc's. Basically, everytime a vendor runs a card, the cc company charges them a surcharge (a tax)... DUH! That's what happens when you incorporate credit cards into your business. It was just awkward. Finally, that dies down and I enjoy my lovely pedicure. Or so I thought. It also started out kind of awkward. Once the massaging started, it was like she was slapping my calves. It was strange, to say the least. She did massage for a long time, but I'm not sure if that was a good or bad thing at this point. Once that was over, I was moved over to the manicure station where another woman helped me. She was a character. She did her job and moved on, quickly. That basically summed up my experience. I got a pedicure and manicure which is why I went there in the first place, but I also got what it was worth. The place is not in the best condition and the decor is hidieous. I went in the EMPTY shop on a Saturday at 11:30a (besides the 2 ladies drying their nails) with my son and nephew (who had books to read while I got a manicure) I was turned away because she was booked for the whole day. She didn't even offer to make an appointment for the following day. After getting the vibe that she just didn't want me in her shop, I called 45 minutes later and miraculously she had time for me to come in right away, and again at 4p. I felt very rushed as he did my nails I told him I had changed my mind on the color I wanted and he said well you need to hurry up and pick a color then cause we close soon and there's customers still here, it was just the way he said. He gave me an attitude and I instantly fed off a negative vibe. I love this place. I searched far and wide for a nail salon I liked in Sacramento (pocket area) when I found this place. It's really clean and I have never been disappointed here. I get my eyebrows waxed and I am pretty picky about them (hence why I had to search far and wide). They are so precise and they make my eyebrows the perfect shape with no stragglers left behind. My husband and I frequent this place for pedicures. It is located in the same shopping center as 24 Hour Fitness. Parking can be a challenge after 5pm but be patient and follow those leaving to their car. My husband and I are treated like family here. This is the best pedicure I've had bar none and I have been to some very expensive fancy spas. The amount of time that the ladies spend spend rubbing your feet and legs is well worth the price. I can get over the lack of OPI nail polish for a $19 pedicure that lasts a long time. This place is clean and if you want to support a local business person from our community, get good service for an excellent price, then go. I have been here several times. Every time I have had the man (I think his name is Joe). Dude takes his time and my nails always look great. I actually was able to make my gel manicure last for a month and a half with out it chipping or coming off. I have been to so many nail salons in the area. I checked the reviews below and I went in for an acrylic pink and white fill because my regular person was out of town for a family emergency and I was going on vacation. It was $48 for a set (a little on the high side) but the gentleman insisted he would not fill someone else's acrylic and needed to put a new set on. A week and two days later when I was in Chicago IL, two of the nails ripped down to my nail bed (one on a Wednesday and the next day). I have been getting acrylic pink and white nails for 8+ years and use my hands constantly for work and life with kids. I have broken nails, gotten cracks, chipped them but NEVER has a broken nail hurt my natural nail or nail bed. Never has a break or chip even torn the very end (tip) of my natural nail let alone below the white tip. I am beyond disappointed and upset. I had two torn, painful bleeding nails on my vacation. The nails looked OK when I got them, but I will not and do NOT recommend this location. read more

Just went to good ol' Diane's Nails. I chose this place because it was inexpensive (I just wanted a brow wax), & it was close to the gym (figured I could kill 2 birds w/1 stone). What a HUGE mistake! First off, what I'm assuming is the owner (let's just call her Diane) greeted me w/a hello that looked like "oh crap another customer". I told her that I wanted an eyebrow wax & after a couple of minutes she started walking towards the back. I had to ask her if I should follow & she looked @ me like I was an idiot. Now mind you, she also had a girl sitting @ her manicure table that was nowhere near done. Guess that didn't matter to her but if I had been that girl I would have been pissed! As for the wax, let's just say that she must have thought that my head was not attached to my body. She kept whipping it around like she was trying to crack (or break) my neck. She was brutal w/the tweezers, so much so that I eventually had to say "Ouch Jesus"! She ignored my cry for help. Finally she showed me a mirror & I have to say that my brows looked good...except for the hair on the side that she didn't use her instruments of death on. What the heck had she been doing?! I just kept thinking "Good Lord, I'm glad that I didn't come for a bikini wax!" Can you imagine? Also, I hadn't eaten before I went but let me tell you, Diane sure had! I never saw Diane crack a smile once the entire time. I really didn't want to tip her but also didn't want to cause a scene. this is my second time i had a pedicure. the place was a decent size for a nail salon and clean. they have massaging chairs to sit on while getting a pedicure. the staff is nice and doesn't seem to hate their job. they only reason i didn't give it a 5 star was because i notice my wife that sat next me, got a better foot scrub and massage then i did. i guess it depends on the person you get. my wife told me the person that did her foot might be the owner. read more

One of the workers is a terrible person. I had a problem with some burglars in the parking lot the night before. The next day I wanted to see if there were any cameras around the area I was at and I saw one at Diane's nails. I walked in and asked if I or the police could use those cameras to see who the culprit was and he refused. He lied to me and told me they don't have any cameras (when I obviously saw one) and that even if he did it's illegal to show anyone the footage. The latter I believe is true but the fact that he lied to me shows how little he cares about his customers. He also told me that it's not his problem that I got into an altercation and that I'm making business look bad. I don't know his name as he wasn't wearing a name tag but I highly recommend going elsewhere if you want quality people working on your nails. read more
