Their menu features all of the staples you typically see at a Thai restaurant and all dishes are made without meat if that is your fancy. If you are a meat-eater like myself, then you will enjoy their beef, pork, chicken, or tofu additions. I ordered their mild Drunken Noodles with beef and it was very comparable to more expensive Thai places that I have eaten at. There was even a subtle kick to the food, which helped the flavors come through. My brother had their mild Yellow curry with beef and seemed to enjoy it very much. He was unsure of their spice levels so decided to play it safe with the mild. He loves heat and said next time he will definitely opt for the medium to get that needed kick. For a drinks we had the Thai iced tea which was perfectly sweet. The only downside was that the cup was a tad small because I definitely wanted more after I finished! EatThai isn't the most creative name for a Thai restaurant but hey, it's the food we care about. EatThai was located really close to our hotel so we stopped by for lunch. They're in a shopping center with several other businesses so parking isn't an issue. EatThai is a casual, Americanized Thai restaurant, where you order at the counter and they bring your food to you. We started with the spring rolls appetizer. You get four spring rolls with a sweet chili dipping sauce. They didn't disappoint! The only downside was that they didn't give us enough sweet chili sauce. We could have asked for more but decided not to. For our main dish, we shared the Pad Thai with beef. A classic Thai dish with EatThai did well. The portions were generous and we had to take some of the food to-go. I later lost my to-go box which I was upset about but alas, what can you do. This is one of the better Thai restaurant I've been in Indy. The place itself is small, and as you go through the entrance door to the restaurant door, something smelled really bad. I was not a big fan of that. Their menu covers the basics, noodles, fried rice, more noodles. I always get my drunken noodles, and they were able to get me extra noodles without an up charge. They have regular and large size options. Regular $8, large $10-11. The service was nice, place was clean. I wish they had some kind of cushion for the bench. It's hard wood and that's about it. Eat Thai is the best local spot on the north side of the city! I remember when this location first opened up and I've been going there for about 3 years now. They have a wide array of options from noodle dishes to rice dishes, curries, salads and more. Personally my favorite is the pad see eiw with two appetizers both the crab Rangoon and spring rolls. For each entree you get to decide the spice level as well as the protein option (chicken, beef, shrimp, tofu, veggie). When you walk in you place your order and then receive a number. This is the perfect Thai carryout place. It was quick, tasty, and abundant in portion size. We ordered the noodle soup with chicken, Pad See Ew with Shrimp, and the Pad Ped with chicken. It was just what we needed on this cold, gloomy night. The soup had a nice spice to it without being too overwhelming. It was a great way to start the meal. The Pad Ped was perfectly spiced for us, we ordered level 4 because we like heat, but can't handle extreme spice. I am a sucker for Thai food and I think I have found a good one. Eat Thai is a little different than most, you order at a counter and they bring you your food on REAL plates! Wow! It was a little weird to order Thai food at a counter but well worth it. Food is brought to you when ready. The flavors are legit. I had the Pad Ped w/ beef with a spice level of hot. Veggies were perfectly cooked and the beef was tender. The sauce was flavored very well with tastes of sweet, sour, salty and spicy. And, they made the dish spicy hot like I ordered! I also order a cup of Tom Yum soup just to try it. The soup was also flavored very well but it seemed a little different then I've had at other Thai restaurants. It was mostly broth with a few mushrooms and no tomato. Meat can be added to the soup to make it a meal. The iced tea had a unique Thai flavor. The regular portion size of the main dish was perfect but probably smaller than I get at area sit-down Thai restaurants. The restaurant is a casual, clean location in a strip mall. It is fairly sparsely decorated but the wood tables are nice. I don't think this would necessarily be a "date night" destination but the food was so good it is well worth a to-go order if you want to take it to a more romantic setting. read more

Service was incredibly prompt...I think we got our food in 5 minutes; I was amazed! And to have it be THE BEST Thai food I've ever had means this was a definite win in my book. I ordered the green curry - the perfect amount of sweetness and spice. It had peppers, bamboo shoots, carrots, and several other veggies in an amazing sauce. The tofu was a great addition. The portion size was just right for dinner (I ordered the regular size). My husband ordered the Drunken Noodles, per other yelpers' advice. He (and I -unfortunately for him-) loved it! The best we've tasted. The medium had quite a kick, but not too crazy. We both shared an appetizer and the mango/sticky rice dessert, all under $30. A great and affordable date night! I stopped in this family owned business in a strip mall at 86th and 465 on the west side. Lots of free lot parking and a double door entrance that keeps the dining room from blasts of outdoor air are great for customers. The restaurant is one where you place your order at the counter, pay, and then pick a seat to wait for your meal. They do have a self service beverage dispenser and a place to pick up your silverware, napkins, and if you want, to add extra spices. I ordered the crabmeat rangoon and my standby Pad See-eiw for first time visits to new Thai places. After a short wait, my rangoon came out first. Very light and crisp, there was enough cream cheese and crab for flavor, especially since they were still warm. The dipping sauce bowl was a bit small to dip the rangoon, so you have a choice of drizzling the sauce over the top, or tearing the rangoon in half which works for dipping. The sauce wasn't the thick red sweet sauce you find other places, but it was a tasty orange colored liquid that was a nice surprise. The pad see-eiw (I think it is spelled differently every place I go!) had the wide noodles I like and are stir fried with egg, bite sized broccoli crowns, and chopped cabbage hearts. Really yummy and decently portioned. My only negative is that I am used to getting far more for my money at my favorite Thai places on the south side (i.e. Small spring roll, small salad included). The price and quantity are still reasonable, just not the best in town. They do bring out your food and buss your table when you are finished, so it is somwhere between full and self serve for dining. Review #454 read more

My coworkers and I have been waiting for this place to open, and I saw it did this past week. So, on Friday, two of us made the journey. It was so good, I had it again on Saturday! On Friday, I ordered the yellow curry, veggie style, and my coworker ordered the orange chicken. They were true to their word: it was fast casual service, and the food was super fresh. The flavors were so good, but if you like spicy, do ask them to turn up the heat. On Saturday, I tried the same thing, but with tofu and extra heat. Plus, I learned that they have a dry chili powder they prepare in house--I added that to my food as well. MH went with my on this trip, and he had chicken pad thai. We also had the salad rolls that come with a sweet peanut sauce--these are officially my favorite food right now! Just as the day before, everything was fantastic. Okay, so Sawasdee is gone now so us Thai heads have to figure out the best Thai lunch spot west of Meridian now. The way I see it the two best options are Thai Papaya and this place. BUT I must say EatThai's brown rice is the authentic purple sticky rice which is a game changer. The Num Prik Prow was delicious-a true contender with Thai Taste's Pad Pak Ruam(my favorite Thai dish in the city). One of the best things about EatThai is the option to adjust the spiciness of the dish on a scale of 1-6 based on your preference. The wall at the entrance has pictures of every menu item, so it's perfect if you are not familiar with Thai food or are thinking about trying something new. The red curry, Pad Kee-Mao, and of course mango sticky rice are all amazing. The interior is spacious and bright, or you can get food to-go and eat at one of the tables along the Trader's Point strip. Or ordering online directly from their website couldn't be easier. Woo! Found a Thai place we really like close to our house. I ordered ahead via Grubhub on Yelp which made it super convenient. My husband and I both got chicken pad Thai with medium hot spice. (Small serving $8/large $11) We also tried the crispy wontons. They were crispy on the outside and a cloud of fluffy pork on the inside. Can't wait to get them again! Can't speak to the service and cleanliness of the restaurant a whole lot since I ordered take out but the woman who brought out my food was nice and it looked clean from what I could see. Most recently I ordered the orange chicken which comes with white rice. It was delicious and very fresh. I like the food at this place. Small simple menu which I appreciate if there are unique menu items included and what is on menu is done authentically. I give major props that this place serves kao mun gai (boiled chicken served with ginger rice and a gingery-sweet and mildly spicy sauce to dip). One of only two thai restaurants in metro are I believe that serves this dish. Very popular in Thailand. Remainder of food is tasty and good quality. Portions sort of small for my liking but no biggie, just excuse to order more variety and share with others.
