We knew what we wanted, and ordered the following: Sweet Shrimp Sushi, Salmon Sushi, Yellowtail Sushi, Fresh Water Eel Sushi, Fatty Tuna Sushi, Spicy Crunch Roll, Spicy Salmon Hand Roll, Spicy Garlic Edamame, Roly Poly No Rice Roll, Sushi Blossom No Rice Roll, Crispy Rice With Spicy Tuna, Tempura Udon, Spicy Tuna Hand Roll, and a Spicy Crunch Roll. The restaurant itself is very small and cozy. I believe it used to be a ramen shop before. Service was decent and the food came out very quick. Miso Soup 4/5: They didn't skimp out on the tofu, enoki, and seaweed which is a huge plus. Nigiri 4/5: The nigri is ordered per piece instead of the 2 pieces per order. They had a decent selection for a smaller location that included Toro, Uni, Bluefin, along with your typical Salmon, Yellowtail, and etc. Hand Rolls 4/5: Love that they stack the inside of their rolls. I came in for the first time for dinner with my friends around 6:30 pm on a Tuesday night. You can get on the waitlist on Yelp which really was a plus! The rolls come in 4 rolls but we liked that because you can try more things. The fish was really fresh. Love the ratio of rice and fish. Some of my favs were: salmon, yellowtail, tuna, fatty tuna, sweet shrimp, and scallops. The baked mussels were really good too! The restaurant is a bit small if you have a large party. But very cute. So glad I stumbled upon this place on Yelp! My husband and I recently went to try it and it was solid, probably will be one of our new go-to non-ayce sushi places in OC. The inside is cozy and nice, not too big of a dining room but service is fast so the turnover is fast so the wait is not terrible. You can log in at the Yelp check in station (wish I could have done this en route). During my wait I just walked around the plaza and did some grocery shopping, waited about 35-40 mins on a Saturday evening. I try takoyaki everywhere I go, and the one here is pretty solid! Differs from other spots in that it's topped with green onion, and not as saucey which I liked. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the tako wasabi as well. The wasabi flavor was not overwhelming as I expected it to be. Their nigiri was so good! Rice was the perfect texture and amount with a generous portion of protein on top. We tried the salmon, bluefin tuna, yellowtail, fatty tuna, sweet shrimp (comes with the fried head too!), and eel. My favorites were the tunas (and I am typically more of a salmon gal). So fresh! We had two types of the "new sashimi" -- beautifully presented with sprouts and flowers atop it but the flavors were a little too strong for me, I would just get regular sashimi next time. There is also an assortment of no rice rolls, regular and baked rolls, hand rolls, as well as noodle soups! For no rice rolls I would recommend the Caliente. I like how they are rolls of 4 so you can select multiple options and not fully commit to one roll you might not like. Check in on Yelp for a free can of soda. I got a bunch of uni sushi, they were very fresh/sweet tasting/clean finish/not bitter. I really enjoyed it, maybe we got lucky as uni can be hit or miss. Their toro was also very excellent, very fatty and melt in your mouth. We got bunch of other rolls which were very good too. Overall it's what they advertise, great/fresh sushi at reasonable prices.
