Worst customer service ever by spoiled apathetic young kids. Pie crusts are flavorless and tough/not flaky, and way too much sugar in fillings. Gluten-free items leave a lot to be desired, and most everything is overpriced. Cleanliness of the place gets a C minus. Not sure what all the hype about this joint is. read more

Super sweet employees and great place to go with family. Was very kind and told us a little more about Denver bc we are from out of state!

Had their blt which was amazing and I was willing to return because it was really good .But one of the workers there rudely asked me and my friend if we had wiped our table down right before we were about to leave.Honestly it was really off putting especially since he and been nice to everyone else, and I had already cleaned up after my mess before leaving but I can honestly say that because of his comment and making the whole experience awkward that I will not be returning to this establishment. read more

On the way home from this place and couldn't wait to write a review because we loved it so much. It's the perfect small town deli, delicious sandwiches, awesome ice cream. I ordered a cold turkey sandwich which is one of their signatures and added bacon, and my boyfriend customized his own sandwich, both were so good! We also got side salads with the lemon vinaigrette, highly recommend. After dinner, we got ice cream and got salted caramel twist, pistachio, kahlua white chocolate, and rocky road and all of them were excellent. We ate it all so fast, we did not waste time taking pictures. Go eat here, you won't regret it! read more

We created our own sandwich with tofu as the base. It took a good solid 25 minutes to be ready, and when we asked how long it would take it, the chef was quite rude in his response. When the sandwich came out, the tofu was burnt to a crisp to the point where you could barely even bite into it. At first, we could barely make out what it was and when we asked the staff they seemed unfazed by it and were like "sure we can make you a new one without the tofu", as if they make all their tofu sandwiches this way? This was the worst burnt tofu I've ever had, and the staffs attitude towards us made it even worse. We ended up just taking the tofu out and eating the sandwich, which wasn't terrible but how do you expect to run a successful business without having a staff that cares about the product they sell. At one point there was another customer who asked for a hot dog and the chef said "it's going to be at least 20 minutes on that", in a way that almost seemed to discourage the customer from buying one. Quite disappointed and the chef was a real asshole. Be better. read more

Ice cream was hard/nonfluffy and lacking flavor (granted they don't make it themselves, but still, I would consider a different source). My friend got a cookie dough ice cream sandwich, and the ice cream had literally a single huge chunk of cookie dough. Which, I guess, still counts (even the ratio was technically correct), but come on, guys, really? Peach bread was also pretty bland, and lacked peach flavor, which is kind of a downer. And, as weird as it sounds, the portions were just too big for ice cream/dessert. I understand attempting to appeal to the stoner crowd, but obesity is generally something I try to avoid, and having to throw away half of my sandwich to prevent heart disease is never fun. read more

This is the most adorable shop in Lafayette! We stopped in for ice cream, but I'd love to return for simply any dessert or a meal. The cupcakes and cheesecake looked fabulous. I got a brownie sundae with vanilla bean ice cream, hot fudge, whipped cream, and peanuts. It was delicious! The service was great too! read more

They serve the best New England Clam chowda every Friday! It reminds me of being back east! The sandwiches are the bomb.org!

This is such a sweet little spot for community. All the ice cream and food I've had here are great, and next to it is the fountain which my kid loves playing in during the summer with other kiddos. It's so much fun to grab some ice cream, or a sandwich, and play. The owner is also incredibly kind and clearly cares about our community. We'll always have great memories here. read more

It was my first time here today. I've been meaning to try this place for the last six months! Why did I wait! I got a good size chicken salad sandwich and boy did that hit the spot. They have a large choice of meats, cheeses, veggies and condiments. I'm not sure what type of bread they used, but it was delicious; lots of grains. I also chose a delicious vanilla cupcake, I'm not a fan of store (as in grocery) bought cake, I prefer gourmet bakeries/ homemade sweets, so this was an amazing surprise! Both together were around $10. Looking forward to trying to food truck next time! read more

Must have a Coconut macaroon every time I visit or visit just for a macaroon Always friendly and always willing to answer any questions no matter how obviously the answer is posted on the menu ‍Sandwich and soups are always a sure bet. They have desserts to accommodate many different health restrictions/preferences. Ice cream, sherbet, and baked goods are all good! Just ask for a sample of ice cream/sherbet to find your flavor because that have great unique ones. read more

Our experience was at the Eats and Sweets food truck. The individual running the truck was extremely rude. After giving us a hard time for asking for no cucumbers on our sandwich he piled more cucumbers on it than there was anything else which came off as a "screw you". Maybe it was a simple mistake but his attitude towards my extremely sweet Mother from start to finish was horrible and we will not be supporting this company. read more

I'll give it a 1 because the kids were able to get actual ice cream for $20.00. That being said no flavor selection and a snarky attitude when being forced to venture into the bland world of gluten free, dairy free, taste free, fun free, want to be treat. Putting it mildly the place is about as appealing as a mirage in the desert. You see the sign, you believe it's happening the ice cream the treats and your left with literally dust. read more

Yummy treats! I loved the Rhubarb pie and blueberry pies. Pair the pie with some ice cream for a amazing dessert. Cherry Basil is pretty good but definitely a sucker for the Thai ice cream. Out of the many desserts that I've had in NYC and SF, this is at the top of my list. An amazing find in Colorado. read more

This place is FANTASTIC! They are super family friendly and a good place for a date or even a drink! Their happy hour is freaking awesome and we love the vegan ice cream. Best ice cream in town hands down! Their lunches, sandwiches, and soups are all housemade and made with love. You can really tell by its flavors that it is a quality lunch, bread, treat, or ice cream and that they care here. read more

We drove here at night from Boulder in flash floods, and it was worth it. I'm not a fan of hard chocolate chips in chocolate mousse, but of course children love it. Very good carrot-cake cupcake, and the lemon pie and the earl-grey macarons were eaten by others before i could taste them. A cute environment with enthusiastic staff. read more

My son and I were having a rough day yesterday. It was bad enough that I decided we needed dessert before dinner. So, we went down to Eats & Sweets to see what they had. They've been open for over a year now, according to the owner, who served us. He explained that he prepares/cooks the sandwiches and other lunch foods, while his wife bakes the various goods such as cupcakes and mini pies. The ice cream in the shop is Boulder brand, which we've never tried before. My son selected the key lime pie ice cream, and it was really yummy. There were pieces of crust in the ice cream, adding a nice texture and some spots that weren't too cold (sorry, but I'm sensitive to cold stuff, so this was a big perk). I selected a mini peach pie. It was obviously homemade and warmed up for us. My son and I ended up sharing goodies, like pie a la mode. Yum. We ate everything we bought. The pricing was a bit steep, but not completely out of line with other shops like this that have been cropping up. We paid about $7.50 for our goodies, and I added a small tip as a courtesy. We would definitely go back. The service was friendly and the ice cream was delicious. read more

I live in Colorado for nearly 7 years now and can't believe I have not explored the little hidden gem of the downtown Lafayette area. 3.5 stars. Wandered in with a friend while waiting for the poetry reading at Cannon Mine to begin. Sweets looked marvelous and all the little kiddies milling around inside and outside were clearly enjoying their ice cream cones. Though my friend tried and enjoyed one of the sweets, I ordered one of the eats: a veggie hot dog. Nice that they have a veggie dog on the menu. It was good and reasonably priced. Downside is that they need to be staffed to handle the crowds that tend to gather for the ice cream. Just my observation from being there for an admittedly brief time. Love the decor and the homey atmosphere. Want to try sweets next time. read more

The individual pear pies are amazing, they have local products, and the owners children are cute. From Pi day to deals (like the free mini cupcake we need to get!) The sandwiches were delicious, the staff was great and the banana bread ice cream sandwiches were incredible.

Eats and Sweets is small, locally owned cafe in downtown Lafayette. The atmosphere is really comfortable and kid friendly. You order at the counter and wait for your food. They have really tasty gluten-free bagguettes that you can order sandwiches on. They have 'make your own' sandwiches and salads. I usually get tuna salad, which is really good, and have also gotten their chicken salad and turkey sandwiches as well. They have really yummy gluten-free baked goods such as cupcakes and banana bread (they do contain dairy). They also have ice cream and sorbet, most of which is GF. I really enjoy eating here and recommend it!
