Really good ice cream (Birthday cake in regular cake cone) and it was a welcomed addition to not have to pay extra for a cake or sugar cone. The birthday cake ice cream was definitely a special recipe but I did not find it to sweet or lacking flavor. I wish the ice cream could fit further down into the bottom of the cone but I fixed that by pushing the ice cream down as I ate it. My husband loves the banana bread Ice Cream sandwich and made sure to get it along with two ice cream flavors. When mixing the flavors for the ice cream sandwich they give you the option to have the flavors side by side or on top of one another. I thought that was a good option to have should one need it. I also purchased a regular chocolate chip cookie (they have gluten free cookie options as well) and a small red velvet cupcake. I'll update the review after I have the chocolate chip cookie, but I found the red velvet cupcake to be pretty good. We created our own sandwich with tofu as the base. It took a good solid 25 minutes to be ready, and when we asked how long it would take it, the chef was quite rude in his response. When the sandwich came out, the tofu was burnt to a crisp to the point where you could barely even bite into it. At first, we could barely make out what it was and when we asked the staff they seemed unfazed by it and were like "sure we can make you a new one without the tofu", as if they make all their tofu sandwiches this way? This was the worst burnt tofu I've ever had, and the staffs attitude towards us made it even worse. We ended up just taking the tofu out and eating the sandwich, which wasn't terrible but how do you expect to run a successful business without having a staff that cares about the product they sell. At one point there was another customer who asked for a hot dog and the chef said "it's going to be at least 20 minutes on that", in a way that almost seemed to discourage the customer from buying one. On the way home from this place and couldn't wait to write a review because we loved it so much. It's the perfect small town deli, delicious sandwiches, awesome ice cream. I ordered a cold turkey sandwich which is one of their signatures and added bacon, and my boyfriend customized his own sandwich, both were so good! We also got side salads with the lemon vinaigrette, highly recommend. After dinner, we got ice cream and got salted caramel twist, pistachio, kahlua white chocolate, and rocky road and all of them were excellent. Ice cream was hard/nonfluffy and lacking flavor (granted they don't make it themselves, but still, I would consider a different source). My friend got a cookie dough ice cream sandwich, and the ice cream had literally a single huge chunk of cookie dough. Which, I guess, still counts (even the ratio was technically correct), but come on, guys, really? Peach bread was also pretty bland, and lacked peach flavor, which is kind of a downer. And, as weird as it sounds, the portions were just too big for ice cream/dessert. I understand attempting to appeal to the stoner crowd, but obesity is generally something I try to avoid, and having to throw away half of my sandwich to prevent heart disease is never fun. read more

This is such a sweet little spot for community. All the ice cream and food I've had here are great, and next to it is the fountain which my kid loves playing in during the summer with other kiddos. It was my first time here today. I've been meaning to try this place for the last six months! Why did I wait! I got a good size chicken salad sandwich and boy did that hit the spot. They have a large choice of meats, cheeses, veggies and condiments. I'm not sure what type of bread they used, but it was delicious; lots of grains. I also chose a delicious vanilla cupcake, I'm not a fan of store (as in grocery) bought cake, I prefer gourmet bakeries/ homemade sweets, so this was an amazing surprise! My son and I were having a rough day yesterday. It was bad enough that I decided we needed dessert before dinner. So, we went down to Eats & Sweets to see what they had. They've been open for over a year now, according to the owner, who served us. He explained that he prepares/cooks the sandwiches and other lunch foods, while his wife bakes the various goods such as cupcakes and mini pies. The ice cream in the shop is Boulder brand, which we've never tried before. My son selected the key lime pie ice cream, and it was really yummy. There were pieces of crust in the ice cream, adding a nice texture and some spots that weren't too cold (sorry, but I'm sensitive to cold stuff, so this was a big perk). I selected a mini peach pie. It was obviously homemade and warmed up for us. My son and I ended up sharing goodies, like pie a la mode. Yum. We ate everything we bought. The pricing was a bit steep, but not completely out of line with other shops like this that have been cropping up. We paid about $7.50 for our goodies, and I added a small tip as a courtesy. We would definitely go back. The service was friendly and the ice cream was delicious. read more

Sweets looked marvelous and all the little kiddies milling around inside and outside were clearly enjoying their ice cream cones.
