    So Cal Turkey Club Sandwich

My wife had some business at the cafe today and ordered me a club sandwich with onion rings. First the sandwich on looking at it had avocado which I hate and it looked very dry but the rings looked promising. So I took a bite of the club and just as I thought dry needed some sauce mayo, mustard ketchup something cause the avocado was not enough moisture in sandwich. It was nothing to write home about and at more than $10 I wished it was a lil better now the rings they tasted like well like onion rings crispy not greasy I would get them again.

Such a lovely little cafe right by my house. I have been here before but that was years ago. I came back with my two kids and they absolutely loved it. Making this our weekend spot from now on!

They charged us even after their mistake.

I went to this place for breakfast with my son today. My son ordered a Mickey Mouse pancake with egg whites and a sausage. While he was eating his pancakes, his hands got all sticky with syrup and he didn't like the feeling, so he asked me to take him to the restroom to wash them. We were gone for maybe two minutes, and when we came back, my son's plate had the silverware, napkins, and the straw wrapper placed on top of it--clearly ready to be cleared away. But we hadn't even finished! It had only been about six minutes since they brought the food. When I asked one of the servers who did that, she told me "no one did" and that "maybe the air blew the utensils and papers onto the plate." Such a ridiculous and unprofessional response! Instead of admitting they made a mistake and fixing it, she gave me that absurd explanation. The least they could've done was acknowledge the error and not charge us for my son's meal--but they still charged it anyway. They're not quick to serve you, but apparently they're very fast when it comes to clearing your table!

First time in this place, I was disappointed with the portion, Very poor the portion, the service is not very good, we waited more than 20 minutes to refill the coffee, the price is a little expensive, I do not recommend this place..

My favorite breakfast spot in Quartz Hill. I enjoy when they have weekend specials with some "secret menu" type of vibe. I had the loco moco last time it came around and the beef patty was cooked to perfection. I'm a bigger fan of their other breakfast items too such as the biscuits and gravy and the pancakes. Service is always prompt and even when there is a wait, they get you in quick.

Omelette with double cheese, grilled onions and jalapeños, and beef chorizo!

Did they close? I've been here for 2 weekends and both times they were closed.

Yes, they are closed. I can by today. It's a total ghost town. Completely abandoned. Spooky stuff! I read in a post on here that they are closed due to a kitchen fire and to… Read more

The food quality is spectacular! I always get the Baracoa Cubano sandwich and it never disappoints. The ingredients are fresh and organic with each dish I've ordered. Since I have allergies to ingredients used to preserve frozen food, it's always been so hard finding a restaurant with a menu that doesn't cause me issues--and Baracoa has never compromised with their ingredients! The organic quality of their food is something you'll taste on your first bite. And finally--the service is impeccable and I have yet to see such excellent hospitality at any restaurant I've visited, even in Los Angeles! The waiters are always kind, attentive, and energetic with their behavior and service. It's very easy to tell they love the work they do and it shows in their work ethic. In addition to that, the managers are always making sure we're having an excellent night and have transformed it to a level of service we've never seen! My parents and I went a week ago and talked to Daniel the Manager about how much we missed a Piña Colada from a closed restaurant which would make it in the pineapple itself--and he said if we promised to be there in a week he's make it himself. We came on Friday, and the joy that my family felt was palpable when Daniel came out with the drinks we've wished for years now since that restaurant closed! Honestly, I've never heard of someone caring for their guests so much to do that--truly everyone should visit this establishment and experience true fine dining. I don't think I'll ever eat anywhere else for a special occasion ever again.

It is all made to perfection and there is not one thing we don't love. For about $32 dollars you can get Havana Bites, it is a taste of some of their great items. It comes with Beef & Chicken Empanadas, Papas Rellenas, Platanos Fritos and Yuca Frita all served with Rico Sauce, which is so great. All of their empanadas are great and you can get just one or a bunch. We often get some to take home. The Papas Rellenas is so good and so nicely priced. It is two mashed potato balls stuffed with Cuban picadillo, then breaded and fried to perfection. I love potatoes so I love to get this. We also take these home. They heat up so well. The service is great and they are very friendly. Parking is easy and there is not usually a wait. I am not sure if they take reservations, so call them and check. The place is comfortable and pretty.

First I ordered individual pizzas and then I asked to cancel one pizza to upgrade to the family meal. The guy taking my order got physically upset, rolled his eyes and had attitude because he had to make a change on his 1970's style paper order taking process. So I ended up ordering 4 pizzas and a salad and I asked for a 5:30 pick up. With attitude he said no that he already had a 5:30 pick up. At this point I told him to cancel the order and that we would go elsewhere. Every time we go there it's the same guy in the front and he is always grumpy and clearly dislikes his job. I rarely go there because of this. I have three adult children that live in the area that say they have the same issue. It's such a shame because the food is really good there but customers should not have to be treated like we're doing them a favor by supporting their business. Very poor customer service.
