Low value for price. I employed Eastside Exterminators for over two years, paying over $60/month to receive quarterly treatments to the exterior of my home. Over $700/year for four treatments is a lot, and I often wondered why I was paying for this on months where I was billed but no services were rendered. As a new home owner, I told myself that the subscription was worth it because if I ever needed to call them for a one off issue, it would be covered by my existing payment. Then this week I called them to ask them to remove a dead rodent from my crawlspace. "This is exactly why I keep paying every month," I thought to myself. When I called Eastside Exterminators to request service, I was told it was a $50 inspection fee. Upon hearing this, it all came tumbling down. What value am I getting for my money if an ask like this is going to be an add on? I appreciate that the company made it very clear to me that I was not getting my money's worth, and I have now canceled my service. Whenever I need pest control services in the future, they will not be getting my call. I want to be clear that all the technicians who ever arrived at my home were professional and friendly, and I appreciated the services rendered by those individuals. My issues are not with the pest control services I actually received, but with the practices of the company that I was paying every month and still wanted to nickel and dime me when I actually needed them. read more

I was recommended to this company and I am so glad I called! From the start, Kelly was kind, professional, and incredibly helpful in getting my appointment scheduled. Michael Coombes was fantastic. He really knows his stuff and took the time to answer all my questions (especially the ones about those icky arachnids!). I want to say first and foremost that Eastside Exterminators deserved this review weeks ago. In late October, I had a feral kitten stuck in my heating vents. After calling a dozen different professionals, animal control, hvac, duct repair, pest control, exterminators, wildlife removal specialists, I got contacted by Kelly from Eastside. She was able to find someone who could help me. Despite, being out of his way, Max, offered to help me try to trap this feral kitten. He was so incredibly kind and patient during the whole process. Helping track her whereabouts and even crawled under my house where he noticed ducts that we recently had repaired that were not done properly. It was from the holes he found we realized she was loose in the basement now and out side of the ducts. We were able to get her trapped 2 days later but without Max and Kelly and Eastside not only would that process but harder but we most likely wouldnt have known about that and been able to get our heating system remedied. ​ read more

Always wants a $150 - $250 fee for an "Inspection" which is basically just walking around your property. Communication is universally terrible. No matter what your problem is they say they can solve it, but if you look at the reviews you see how often that doesn't happen. I set the appointment because I needed someone to have my problem dealt with and most places didn't deal with my specific problem. after seeing these reviews I spent a few more hours looking and got two free inspections scheduled. I then cancelled the inspection with Eastside (only scheduled a few hours prior and for several days out) and they still tried to bill me for it. read more

They were also very quick. He identified the species, carefully explained the process for getting rid of the hornets, looked for the nest, and then thoroughly sprayed my yard and front siding. While having plumbing work done in my crawl space, the technician informed me of a rather significant rodent problem. I asked the neighborhood FB group, as well as my realtor, and Eastside came up again and again. Benito came out and did a multi-hour walkthrough of the house: exterior, crawl space, and attic. He gave me a detailed sketch of my home, with photos of the spots where "fortifications" were needed to keep the rodents out. Eastside blocked off the ways rats could get in, using concrete in some places. A week later, the insulation crew replaced all the insulation and disinfected the crawl space. I appreciated that they used twine rather than just staples to keep the insulation in place. Since I got so many positive recommendations about EE I didn't shop around, so I had major sticker shock when I saw the prices for the work. Thankfully, PSE essentially paid for the efficient new insulation, but the cost of exclusion and cleanup/insulation was over $5000 for a 1250 sqft house (after the PSE rebate, which EE took care of). EE has a $60/mo protection program that includes wireless rodent detection that instantly alerts the company. I passed. read more

We had a rodent issue on New Year's Eve and the Eastside Exterminators team was so efficient to helping ensure our problem was taken care of as promptly as possible. From Shannon who managed scheduling to Ryan who promptly came out the next day to set some traps as first response to tide us over till after the inspector Max could come out after the holidays, we were really impressed with the team and quality of service. Max did a detailed inspection of our home and highlighted potential entry points to be fixed, and both Ryan and Max even told us about PSE rebates that we'd qualify for when putting in much needed insulation. We've since gone on to recommend Eastside Exterminators to a number of our friends dealing with similar issues- no one ever wants to deal with rodent/pest issues but we will certainly not hesitate to call them again if needed! read more

We've had Eastside for about 5 years now and it's been a bit of "ups and downs", but honestly, for a business like this - contractor that comes out every 3 or so months - they really haven't been too bad vs. other guys on revolving contracts that we've hired. They have had periods of heavy staff turnover, but their guy "Brad" has been coming out consistently for a coupla years now, and he's a good guy. Honest, always gives us a text heads up when he's on the way - and ready to address any new issues we may have inside or outside the home. They're phone support has always been pretty decent as well. Not perfect, but they get the job done without too much headache. One thing I was really impressed with was when they sprung this new billing system on everyone, and I called to complain, and they took us off that system and kept us on the old one. I expected every month thereafter to be a fight, and that we'd be leaving asap, but we honestly haven't had many issues with billing, and it's been at least 2 years now since they implemented the "change" but kept us on the old way of doing things. I really can't complain and waited a looong while to post as you just never know with these kinds of companies. Anyhow, if everything went completely doo-doo with Eastside tomorrow, I can comfortably say that TO DATE (and over quite a while) - - they've done well overall (again, some periods of turnover and adjustment) but imho, that's about the best you can hope for these days with recurring contractor services. read more
