Short version: Don't use these guys, they're jerks.
Long version: I don't think I've ever had a worse customer service experience. We've had them for over ten years, but recently they hadn't sent any billing or charges. I tried for two months to reach someone during business hours (didn't leave a message, my bad, but I hate playing phone tag if I don't have to), and never reached anyone. Worse still, one of the times I called I got the internet noise (like they're still getting the internet of a landline).
Finally, I decided to go with another company, since I wasn't even sure Early Warning still existed. I left a message, explaining my plans (and my reasons), and finally got a call back. When I spoke with the man, he was incredibly rude, taking an aggressive tone and refusing to direct me to a place where I could get his system dismantled (he was unwilling to dismantle it himself, which I partially understand, but he was still a huge jerk about it). He told me I could take the system apart with a screwdriver (not true! I'll need to call in an electrician. I don't understand why he couldn't tell me at leas that).
He then asked if I could tell him what company I'd decided to go with (Front Point, by the way, they're great). I said I'd rather not, since he'd been so rude. He replied that I'd been the rude one, and that I'd lied to him about leaving a message on his answering machine (I never said I did, my complaint was that there was never anyone there during business hours). His voice was raised as he did this. I told him being called a liar was enough of a reason not to work with a company, then asked him if I needed to give him any other information. I was honestly flabbergasted. I understand being annoying that someone is leaving your company for other services, but he was incredibly antagonistic and rude. If he had actually been nice on the phone (or picked up ever), I might have considered keeping his services. read more
