BEWARE! Scare tactics and they do not fix the problem. Loss of water pressure. Tech said it was due to galvanized pipes. 4k and then some to replace pipes. 1k to just do the main line to kitchen. Called another plumber, the filter was clogged in the faucet. Scam artists. read more

Earl's was friendly, did great work at a great price. We don't usually use outside labor as we're all pretty handy, but we needed pro help this time and we chose wisely. We would recommend Earl's! read more

I liked that I was given a price per project. It feels like the guys I pay hourly take their time (and a lot more breaks). I read a review on here where the person was upset that it only took 45 minutes to fix what they needed fixed. I'm pretty sure that is a good thing - rather than having someone dragging their feet in your house for 2 1/2 hours charging the same amount of money. I know that these guys are licensed and insured and have been around for as long as I can remember. I have always had great service from them and have never needed to call them back to re-do anything. read more

I have to say that Earl's Plumbing is the best. The technicians are polite, professional and well trained. On a scale of 1-5, I give them an 8. read more

For the past couple of years I have been dealing with the prospect of getting my leach lines repaired and was saving up money in case I needed a new leach field. After asking around and getting no real recommendations I hired Earls Plumbing based on their Yelp reviews. So James told me it would be "No more than 300.00" To dig up the septic tanks and use a camera to find what was wrong in the field and this included jackhammering up the sidewalk. After they destroyed my back yard with the concrete they said I had NO leach field and they would need to install one so they hired a septic pumper, a backhoe to dig up my back yard for the county to inspect and wanted to put a leach field in. I hired a friend to keep digging and in FIFTEEN minutes he found the leach field that took Earls TWO days to not find. It dawned on me after they had done all this "how could I NOT have a leach field for all these years of having a septic tank?" In the end Earls wanted to charge me 1387.00 for something they said would cost more than 300.00. I am pretty sure that James took the pipe leading from the tank to the leach lines when he dug up my ground so I would believe him that there was no leach field. I had a real plumber who Is Randy from Precision (awesome guy) to connect the septic to the leach field and it was less than 200.00 Earls was trying to get me to put in a new leach field when I had a perfectly operating one and charge me over 7000 more than originally quoted.. EARLS PLUMBING sucks read more

With all the great reviews I called Earl's. The fellows that came out were wonderful and sounded very knowledgable. Rather than simply putting in my new fixtures (replacing old ones) they told me the kit did not come with everything. Having just spent almost $1,000 on a bath tub and bathroom sink fixture this seemed odd that everything would not be there. That after noon I received my estimate to replace the old with the new...$675. I called another equally known service in Chico and they also serviced my area. They came out spent less than an hour; found all the pieces and charged me $175!! I do think Ryan's estimate for Earl's was CRAZY. This is not acceptable. read more

VERY Disappointed in Earl's Plumbing because I was overcharged for the service provided. I needed the drain lowered on my kitchen sink, I was told it was a 4 hour job and quoted $720.00. Okay I guess that would make sense if it was that time consuming. DEVIN did the job in 1 hour, and left a hole in my wall for me to fix, and charged me $711.00. I have a picture of the hole in my wall to post. Also, no hardcopy of any paperwork was given before or after the work was done. I had to call and request an invoice. Very disappointed! read more

Jason B. is the master of late night repairs. Let me just say when your sink is draining in to the depths below and your emergency repair guy from your landlord is out of town (how is this "emergency repair"), there is nothing better than a swift, easy, professional response from a REAL repair guy. Jason was great and was in and out faster than I could order a pizza from dominoes (NO REALLY THAT FAST). 10/10 would get to plumb again. Their slogan is absolutely correct "Fixed Right, Right Now". Hot damn I have never been more impressed by a local business. read more

We experienced a unexpected problem, called Earls (1st time customers) & they were able to come out that afternoon. Robert got the job done, & i have no doubt, fixed right, right then. We really like their 30 day promise of just that, fixed right, right then. Their price is very reasonable. Will call again if we have any future problems. read more

The staff and employees are friendly. However, I am very unsatisfied with the cost. I had a small pin hole in a copper line that needed repair. I assumed they would charge me $95 per hour plus parts. They billed me by project at $295. I asked the plumber to reduce the price, however he stated they bill by project. The plumber was at my house for about 45 minutes total. I would not recommend Earl's plumbing based on price. I feel like they overcharged me for their service. read more

I had a sink issue in the kitchen and was quoted one price to clear it. The job ended up being more involved than initially thought and the price was not changed. Matt was great - he tried everything possible to open the drain and was able to get it functioning. Then he explained to me the options and the rationale for each one. I would call them again! read more

Best service around. Mike was very helpful and replaced our toilet and fixed 2 faucets. He was very knowledgeable when it came to helping pick out a new toilet. I will be calling them back in the future when we upgrade our bathrooms and kitchen. read more

no star way over priced, they charged a 89 year old women 4600.00 to put a 30 gallon hot water heater and 2 18" gas line in a wash room ground level . easy peesy location. and they did not get a permit. after shopping around with other companies i found this job should have been around 1300.00, they totally took advantage. read more

Scott Simmons arrived within 2-3 hours of my call & did the needed repair, I would highly recommend calling Earl's for any plumbing issues.

Wow! What a great experience. Today, 5 days before Christmas and just hours before my wife had to get ready for work, our sewer line clogged. It was a mess!! I called Earl's Plumbing and within an hour Kyle T. arrived at our house. He was so friendly and professional and polite. He wore slip on covers over his shoes and gloves to keep our home clean. But what really mattered was the way he diagnosed the problem, gave us options and then fixed the problem quickly and completely! And, he told us the price up front and that was the actual price we paid. We couldn't be happier. I recommend anyone with a plumbing problem call Earl's...and be sure to ask for Kyle T. He's the best!!!! Thanks Kyle. Great job! read more

Earl's came out to look at my water heater because the pilot light wouldn't stay lit. The tech wanted to charge me $352 to "maybe" fix my problem. In light of that high repair amount, the tech suggested 3 times that I might want to just replace the whole thing for $1800. Another company that I won't name here (Clover Plumbing) fixed it for $150 and he didn't have to guess at what the problem was. I won't tell you who I'll be calling in the future (Clover Plumbing). read more

Our plumbing issue came at the most inconvenient time, Sunday/Mother's day. We called many companies in Chico but Earl's was the most responsive and reasonably priced. The service call for the estimate was not only free of charge but also timely (2 hrs after the initial call was made). Our technician, Ryan W., was fast, thorough, polite, and wonderful to work with. Highly recommended. read more

The plumbing team at Earl's continues to offer outstanding, quality plumbing and customer service! I had miscellaneous problems with the sprinkler system and the kitchen sink. I called Earls Plumbing based on their many positive reviews and I declare, their service was greater than I expected, Jason and Nate went above and beyond my expectations, checking out my entire system, even repaired a minor faucet leak in the master bath at no extra charge. They also found that the pressure regulator had failed, allowing excessive water pressure which would likely cause leaks in the home. Thanks Jason, thanks Nate, you two are a tremendous asset to Earls Plumbing. If I have any future problems, Earls Plumbing is the one I'll call! read more

We recently called Earl's out to assist us with an underground water leak at a multi-family property. First they bid us $2,800 to just repair a fully-exposed 2" pipe (the cost excludes digging - so their bud was just to repair a leak which we identified for them). When we questioned the propriety of the amount they then came back with a lower bid (no change in scope) of $1,800. Right there was our first sign that we weren't dealing with honest professionals. We agreed with the $1,800 as we had no other timely options and their crew stood there for another few hours doing nothing as we cleared enough access space for them to apply the fix (again, they refused to do any digging). Once we excavated enough to their liking they then began working only to inform us they didn't have the necessary parts to fix the pipe as they just realized it was steel pipe where they previously thought it was plastic. At that point we told them to leave. First they tried to extort us with an unreasonably high bid since they knew we were desperate. then they showed other incompetence when, despite the fact they were onsite for hours, they became aware they couldn't fix it. We called the home office attempting to speak with a supervisor when we were informed by the dispatcher that the foreman on site was the highest we could go. We have had them engaged at another property we manage for service - we will be cancelling that service. They did not conduct themselves with honesty and integrity. read more

Just wanted to let everyone know how very happy I was with the service provided by Earl's Plumbing. They called and we selected a day and time to come to the house and they were promptly at my door when they said they would. The plumber, Dennis Robbins, was quick to pin point the problem that was caused by the previous plumbing company, and contacted our warranty company. The faulty toilet was replaced and Dennis was quite tidy by wrapping the old toilet in a black plastic bag to remove from the house and not cause any more mess. Earl's plumber Dennis gave us excellent customer service and even sent us a " thank you card". I would recommend them and certainly give them a 5 star rating for their professional service and knowledge.Thank you Earl's. read more

Earl's was sent to our house via our home warranty to fix a whole house plumbing blockage. Chaz was the technician sent by Earl's to address the issues we were having. He seemed to actually care about fixing the problem as though it was his own. Chaz was helpful, professional and went above and beyond what I have seen past technicians do. It is not often that I experience such excellent service. I would strongly recommend using Chaz with Earl's Performance Plumbing for your plumbing needs. We having other plumbing issues of which are not covered by our home warranty. We will first be asking Earl's Performance Plumbing to take a look a the job because Chaz has left such a good impression. Our hope is that whomever they send will be as good, professional and fair as Chaz was. Thank again! read more

I haven't needed a plumber in a while. My home warranty used to work with Earls and now they don't. I will be changing home warranty company. I Love Earls customer service. Donny was very responsive, helpful, and worked with me like a true professional.

Rip Off! They charged $500 for a kitchen faucet replacement about a year ago. I was under pressure to accept the work since it was for a rental and our tenant was temporarily stuck with out water in the kitchen. They said "lifetime warranty" on the faucet set up which included the spray hose. Recently tenant called and said no water is coming out of the kitchen faucet only out of the spray hose so it appears that maybe the diverter switch in the spray hose is stuck on. I called Earl's and they confirmed that yes faucet is under warranty and they will send out a plumber to check it out. "Scott" calls me and gives me this BS that they can't honor the warranty because there is hard water causing the problem and they "don't warranty the water." He says "$198 to replace the spray nozzle !!! but that will only be a temporary fix since you really need to replace all the piping in the kitchen." All the homes in the north Chico area have hard water by the way so if Earl's was honest they would tell you up front that their products won't be warrantied because they don't "warranty the water". What a freakin joke and a rip off. Will never use Earl's again and neither should you. AND to top it all off my tenant bought a spray nozzle replacement at Home Depot for $9.59 and screwed it on himself in a 5 minute repair job. Earl's wanted to charge me $198 for that on a part that SHOULD have been under warranty. read more

My wife and I needed a number of plumbing jobs done in our home in Paradise. Being mostly disappointed with other plumbing companies in the past we decided to give Earl's Plumbing a try. In a word, they were GREAT". The plumber who came out, Jordan Buchanan, was highly competent, totally professional and very skilled. He took the time and patience to listen to every one of our concerns and described in detail how he would go about doing the repairs. We were so satisfied with the results that we signed up for annual maintenance agreement with Earl's Plumbing. If we could have awarded them "six stars", they would have gotten them. read more

When the water heater in my rental-in-the-middle-of-nowhere died, we called Earl's. Within two days, the hot water flowed again. I felt so confident with the service from beginning to end. Technician, Scott, arrived only 20 minutes into the two hour service window I was given the day before. Do NOT hire this company for any of your plumbing needs. They tried charging me over $200 just to repair a toilet! A friend of mine told me of an elderly woman who was completely taken. I contacted another plumbing business, and they shared that Earls has a horrible reputation for this, and after 30 years of living in Chico, believe me you can get quality work done at a much, much better price. I can only hope you heed this warning. read more

Brian was polite and careful. It took him about 10 minutes to change the cartridges in our bathroom faucets. Everything was in perfect order. And he was very nice. I think Earl's prices are high and the $12 fuel surcharge is a bit much. Last year when the yearly maintenance was done, I asked the plumber to clean out a clogged sink drain. I understood that would have to be paid for. Even though he was here for a pre-paid annual maintenance, there was a fuel surcharge, I suppose because I asked for the extra service. Today's service was excellent but I still am not too pleased with the cost and the fuel surcharge. For that reason I'm rating it A-OK. read more

Consider Earl's Plumbing for lawn sprinkler problems because they take care of landscape plumbing issues also. I had a broken PVC pipe in my lawn; after two wasted weeks calling the so-called landscape sprinkler businesses around Chico (who either never returned my calls or just stalled), I contacted Earl's. To my gratified amazement, they sent a technician out the very next day. I was quite impressed with Ryan's professionalism, know-how, and industry. He went right to work, digging a big hole in concrete-like soil on a 100 degree day, and repairing the busted pipe in no time flat. He even replaced a faulty valve on another circuit while he was here. Can't say enough good things about this outfit. If you need lawn sprinkler repair, don't even bother with the landscape/sprinkler repair guys in the Yellow Pages. Call Earl's first! read more

Just wanted to take some time to let everyone know what a great plumber we had come out to our house and do some troubleshooting and fix our problem. Travis came out to our new home ( on time) and went to work. First asking questions then trobleshooting on his own. He found the problem and solved the issue. Travis is the second plumber we have worked with from Earl's plumbing and both where great. Travis and Ryan are great at their Jobs. They also work for a very good company Earl's Plumbing.
