Nobody called me back so we went to Redding to see relatives. Got back in the car and found out that AAA had trespassed on my property and had pumped my tank without my permission or signed authorization. I wouldnt let anyone on my property without supervision or authorization especially if I didnt know them. The choice is yours.

Since Thrifty was recommended by our property manager, we asked for a quote -- $24,500.00. Knowing nothing about septic systems and the urgency of the situation, I said go ahead. One week later... through other sources and other quotes, we find the average cost for this work is $13,000 - $15,000 (max). And, we found out that Thrifty Rooter was the middle man... NH Construction actually bid and was doing the work. We nicely asked to stop (only work done a 10x10 deck removed. On that day, the stop day, the work permit was pulled from the City of Paradise. Coincidence.... not ! My biggest complaint with Thrifty is when we proved the rip off by NH Construction, Thrifty passed along the problem to NH Construction and they were no help to resolve. It was their bid !! The end... I spent $17,000, $2,000 - $4,000 more than I should have because NH Construction pulled a work permit the day we complained. If you want proof or facts, ask me... I will be happy to share the bids !!

While on a bike ride, I happened across a Chico Septic and Sewer Truck parked in front of a home nearby. I introduced myself to the young man working the project named Chad and asked him if he would be able to take a look at my septic tank and give me an evaluation. He took down my address and phone number and about an hour later texted me and told me he was at our home inspecting the tank. I met him there and he gave me a complete evaluation, basically saying that everything was OK that he had checked. There was no charge for the inspection and I felt badly because I wanted to give him some cash, but we don't keep any around the house. Instead, I'm writing this evaluation, hoping that they get all of the business that they deserve given their professionalism and willingness to help out. I will definitely use them when the time calls for it. Highly recommend!
