I've been having difficulty getting a qualified person to look at our septic tank in the Lake Almanor area. While on a bike ride, I happened across a Chico Septic and Sewer Truck parked in front of a home nearby. I introduced myself to the young man working the project named Chad and asked him if he would be able to take a look at my septic tank and give me an evaluation. He took down my address and phone number and about an hour later texted me and told me he was at our home inspecting the tank. I met him there and he gave me a complete evaluation, basically saying that everything was OK that he had checked. There was no charge for the inspection and I felt badly because I wanted to give him some cash, but we don't keep any around the house. Instead, I'm writing this evaluation, hoping that they get all of the business that they deserve given their professionalism and willingness to help out. I needed help with my Septic System. I called Chico Septic who had bought out the original company that put in a new system 25 years ago. First guy came out to pump my tank. I was having no issues, it was just past time for a pump. He opened up the system and saw that the liquid was above its drain pipe, meaning it was going into the leach line. He told me he would send their tech who specialized in clogged whatever's. He would not pump my system as he didn't know what tech would find and didn't want me to have to pay for two pumpings. Raul turned up to pump the tank so the techs could work on it. He was very informative as to what was going on. Next came Lance and Jimmy. Those two indentified the problem and began digging and tried to clear out the pipe between the tanks and the leach line. Those two young men explained everything they were doing and what they were going to do to fix . I cannot tell you pleased I am with their result. Such hard workers!!!! read more

We asked Chico Septic to come out and pump our tank, because it had been six years, since our last pump. From & Jeffery came as scheduled. They were polite and very professional. Explained the plan and procedure. Once they began, they shared photos and educated us on our Septic Tank. They allowed us to watch and ask numerous questions. They were so nice to answer everything. They said we all looked great. Good condition and because we were diligent at having our tank pumped because we thought it was time, we have prevented any problems or concerns. Truly a pleasant experience ( except the actual reason ) the price was absolutely reasonable and they two gentlemen left , leaving our area clean and the way it was. We most certainly will use Chico Septic again. We absolutely will refer them to our family & friends. One thing I would like to NOTE; Chico Septic bought out Dominic's Septic years ago. Chico Septic sent 2 young men out for the job. The first problem was a tree limb in their way. They offered to figure out how to not bother the tree but with permission, cut one limb. They were kind to the tree and got their truck in. My dogs even liked them, which says a lot to me. The head guy was very informative and seemed to know his sh!t (lol) and was super kind and very thorough. I definitely recommend this company. The reception lady Beth was super kind and this company made this crappy project a great experience!!! I had to leave for work so I left them in charge of closing up the yard. I was having soggy ground in the region of the septic tank. I figured it needed pumping out. I dug down and found the (a) lid of the tank to save cost and time. The crew showed up on time, dug an additional hole I had not realized was needed to expose the other lid. Diagnosed that it did not need pumping but needed a repair at the outflow end. Required different equipment on a different day to get that done. Second crew showed up on time and did the job quickly and efficiently. All for considerably less than the cost of pumping. Everyone was courteous and tidy about the work and seem to have solved the problem. read more

The worst company ever! if they were the only septic tank company in town I would spend 3x's the amount for someone to come from out of town! That girl in the office must be related to the owner. i needed my septic tank looked over; that girl in the office can't follow simple instructions; while I was overcharged for service, so she sends the good cop I guess he was the field-guy-he too was a work of art ,came to my home to do a shoddy repair job -like a little bit of paste on the seam of the tank. the "field-guy was probably told by the owner not bring their water truck to test the tank. They cleaned out my septic tank for $800 but to put the lid back, install a riser and replace the dirt they quoted another $450 to $550. This was after we paid $469 to have a service they recommended locate the tank. There was even a report and a drawing promised that seems beyond expectations. Good thing the poo is gone from the septic but the bill poo is pending. I'm gonna buy a new cover and a shovel and move on. read more

Do not use this company. Not trustworthy at all. They came out to certify my septic system for escrow (buyers choice of company) and failed my system stating the leech lines were not draining properly. They wanted me to spend additional money to have a camera system check the lines. They told me my system probably wasn't installed correctly. Knowing that my system was only 10 years old I had the company that installed it come out for a second opinion. Leech lines passed without issue with second opinion and certification. read more

I am compelled to finally write a review for the outstanding service I've consistently received from Chico Septic. I've lived in Chico for two years and purchased a house with 3 septic tanks for the first time. All 3 needed service and/or replacement. We just had the third and final tank repaired and even the cleanup was well done. Needless to say I'm on a first name basis with the amazing Jamie and her team of knowledgeable technicians ! However what I appreciate most is the human connection each and every person has made with us. I talked to Rachel and she was able to answer all my questions and let me know what to expect, the following week I scheduled with them and they were able to fit my inspection in within a couple of days! Ben came out and was very professional and got my inspection taken care of and I had my report within a day. They were a very fair price, better prices than anyone else I called and after the inspection was done it was a better price than I thought it was going to be.
