Unfortunately, the experience didn't meet expectations. The technician required me to choose between three costly service options before examining the issue--a practice that felt unnecessarily pressured. Despite charging double the typical rate, they were unable to resolve the clog; the technician reported that his equipment malfunctioned during the attempt. They then quoted $4,000 for what they estimated as a few hours' repair that would be done by the end of the day. He didn't have a working drain snake, but he did have the ABS parts (inexpensive) to complete a full drain replacement at more than $1000 an hour. I sought a second opinion the same day from another professional plumbing company. The second company successfully cleared the drain for $328.72, including preventive treatment. They documented that the previous work hadn't addressed the actual problem and provided photographic proof of such with our receipt. UPDATE: I got the same "call me" from Michael T. When they finally came out the day after Thanksgiving I was told by a serviceman to not use my toilets & not eat very much so I was left without flushable toilets throughout the weekend. It felt like 3rd world stuff? I called them multiple times throughout the night as my water lines stopped working then grey & charcoal water. They didn't respond through the night. They told me the next day that they would send out a serviceman after 12noon & that never happened. Their website says to give them feedback and they will make things right. I paid the $79 to assess the problem at my home . Guy called me said he could find no leaks . Office said same thing . Was relieved then I called plumber and said are you sure?? And asked if turned the main back on ??And he had not low and behold he called back and o yah I hear I leak and will have to go under house which will be a $286. Fee to do that . Said ok and approved charge .which will be deducted from repair. Then he call backed and said he was not going to be able to go under house because crawl space was to small and will have another guy come out on Monday. Holy smokes! I cannot believe how many ONE STAR reviews this company has. Our dishwasher kept clogging and caused severe damage to our kitchen floors, which now need to be replaced. This company came out and said it would be $376 to clean out the air gap. I agreed, thinking it would be snaked. I'm obviously not a plumber. There was a tiny rock stuck inside the cap. The plumber took the cap outside on my front porch and as he stated, "banged it on the floor", and out came the rock. Couldn't even charge a diagnostic fee of some sort? BEWARE THE $79 DIAGNOSTIC FOR TRENCHLESS SEWER LINE REPAIR SCAM! THIS COMPANY LIES ABOUT THEIR SERVICES! Call Accurate Plumbing Instead!! My wife and I are new home owners here in Chico. We bought the house at the beginning of this year that we have been living in for the past 6 years. We were aware that our old septic line was going to need replacing, and thought that with our new baby coming at the end of May now would be a good time to start this process. We were very clear with the dispatcher and the technician that we were specifically interested in a quote for a trenchless sewer line repair using their $79 diagnostic special. Based on the information provided by their Today's Offer advertisement for Trenchless Sewer Line Repair Diagnostic on their website, they were supposed to provide the following for $79: We'll come to your home Diagnose the problem with your sewer line Provide a comprehensive report on the problem Present you with personalized solutions on what to do next NO service call fees. NO dispatch fees. Since I was not able to be home due to school I had my wife and brother wait for the technician and oversee the diagnostic service. We were both under the impression all we would need to pay is the diagnostic fee of $79 to get a quote for the repairs. The technician that came out to do this diagnostic told her that this fee only covered them coming to the home, not a full diagnostic. Strange, since their advertisement explicitly states there is no service call fees or dispatch fees. That sounds a lot like a dispatch and service fee to me. This was confusing to us since the ad clearly stated that it covered a diagnostic of the sewer line specifically for a trenchless sewer line repair which is what we were interested in. My wife witnessed the technician call his boss Mike to confirm that he needed to camera the line in order to diagnose it. Makes sense since there would logically be no other way to do a sewer line repair diagnostic. The technician told her that Mike said that in order to camera the line for a diagnosis, they would need to upcharge us $700 dollars, completely contradicting the advertisement on their website stating that the $79 charge covered a diagnosis of the problem. Why would they upcharge for a service that is a required and essential part of doing the sewer line diagnosis? But they would remove the $79 service fee if we did the diagnostic. Later that day we received and email of our bill for the $676 inspection of our line. In the bill they said they performed the following service: Attempt to clear clog with 3/4" cable machine from cleanout up to 100'. Includes all professional labor and material. Today my wife and I called to discuss this charge with them. The receptionist told her that it was probably an issue with using the wrong billing code and would call her back. Our technician called my wife a few minutes later to explain that they were trying to save us money by using this billing code since the camera charge would have been $900. My wife explained to him her confusion and concerns about why the diagnostic wouldn't include the service of the camera since that is the only way to perform the diagnostic that was advertised. The technician said he was not aware of the advertisement, and asked her to send him screenshots of it. He agreed this was confusing and he would talk to Mike about the issue. A few minutes later the owner Mike called my wife to discuss the dispute. He said that there has been some confusion and complaints about the ad, but that she should just have not agreed to the charge of $676. He refused to correct the issue, and told her he doesn't see how the ad was misleading. He stated that the $79 was just to have the technician come out and see if a camera would be needed. Again that is what a service and dispatch fee is, not a diagnostic fee, which the ad said there would be none. THEY WILL CHARGE YOU LOTS OF $$$$$ for nothing: GET A 2ND OPINION: I thought long and hard about posting this, but people need how bad this business does business. Long story short: Water heater is not producing hot water, Attaboys put it in 3 years ago (6 yr warranty), so as anyone would do, called them to help fix it. On their website it states $79.99 for diagnostic. The Plumber called me with a quote of $299 to light the water heater. I had asked if he had even looked at the water heater??? It specifically states how to do that, which was already done, and it gives you an error code that states "GAS VALVE." He then informed me that, NO he did NOT look at the water heater. My 1st red flag, WHO QUOTES YOU WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING AT IT, secondly, I ALREADY did that, and lastly, PG&E will light it for free. The issue was NOT the pilot light. I SAID NO to that. He then went on to look at the water heater and found exacly what I had said and informed me it was the "Gas Control Valve," and it would be $1300 to fix!! $1300! That was more than a whole NEW water heater costs. FYI a Gas control valve is less than $200, so they wanted $1100 in LABOR. Are you kidding me?? ** Warranty would only pay $200 (the price of gas valve), however the manager told me I would have to pay upfront for everything and I would have to contact the warranty people.. (in the end NO, I am not allowed to get reimbursed by the warranty, the installer must contact the warranty and fill out a form.) I told him I needed to think about it.. for a min and would get back; mainly because in my gut I knew I was getting ripped off an wanted to confirm my suspicions. I called him back x 3 times. The phone went to some answering service where you state you name and issue and then it was saying "this user isn't taking calls." I have proof that I called him 3 times! I then get a call from the manager, who asks where I am and is very aggressive in the call. I tell him I've been trying to call his worker back and he won't answer. At this point my answer is a NO to fixing my water heater. My bf goes out of his at home-work meeting to pay this guy and have him leave. THEY CHARGED us $200!!! (bf did not know I was quoted $79.99 for diagnostic.) Called the manger and he said that "we still have to charge you for our time." They will not give me my money back, nor did they do anything for me, they charge ridiculous prices, they do NOT put the customer first and I hope 'you' never do service with them. Are you home owners or renters ? We were renters and never did they ask me those questions . Red flag number one Red flag number two: the guys that came never put covers over their shoes to enter the home they will Come inside with their work boots (unprofessional) Third red flag : they only provide digital receipts ! Fourth red flag : charged $485 for legit 30 minute job ! Like wow I didn't know they charge by the miente not the hour Fifth red flag: my husband and I are both disabled, I was on a zoom call at the time of the signing of documents and he is half blind . So therefore when the guys came over to hand him the tablet my husband thought it said $98 which was NOT the price . Had they explained the pricing throughly we would have paid them for their estimate and kicked them to the curb where they belong . It said we were "saving" $98 dollars . The price for the services was $485 !!! Yup you heard that right 4 8 5 !!!!!!! Ridiculous! So I ended up calling the office and spoke to the owner or manager there at the time . We have an account through our state Disability but not to where my husband and I can get a cashiers check . The way he said that he would have them follow me made me sick to my stomach. I immediately let my landlord know he is elderly so he was able to contact his grandson and two plumbers came out to the home and said that job was not worth $485 . If he had not been sick at the time of the incident, I would have called him for a maintenance check , but he wasn't available and said he would reimburse us for getting a plumber to come out and fix the issue (which he did) . Here are two adults with disabilities.... Two adults who were belittled and harassed . Imagine this being your parents , grandmothers and fathers.... Would you really want a company to try and lure them for more money ... absolutely NOT. Just look at all the bad reviews on here , it's disturbing to know a company like then are still in business .... ! My kitchen sink was clogged. We called Attaboy Plumbing who could be out in the afternoon. The Plumber arrived with a written estimate of $490 dollars without seeing the problem. I just couldn't believe it would be that much. I knew it would cost $49 dollars just to get him here to give me an estimate. So I refused. Without hesitation he lowered the price to $290. That was still a lot, but I agreed. I will say the man worked hard with an electric snake for a good hour. He fixed the problem. Unfortunately, I feel manipulated. We had an emergency clogged toilet on a weekend so I knew it would be pricey, however they charged at least double what this should have cost. They snaked the drain which helped a bit, then removed the toilet and found the clog. When the technician put the toilet back on, he didn't replace the old wax ring with a new one, though he stated he did on the invoice, nor did he replace the rusty old screws.
