He was careful to not harm my gutters when trying to fix my roof furnace on my AC unit, which I appreciate. He answered damn near immediately when I messaged him on Yelp! and on a holiday, he was the only one around for miles. I was grateful for his showing me the part he'd replace and his honesty about needing to replace the whole unit (it's old, I believe it). I did feel like his pricing slid up as the quick 20 minute job went on and it was much more expensive for his labor than I anticipated. I get that we pay for experience and emergency calls, but a $150 part for $700 after already paying over $100 just to have him look at the thing crushed me. I decided to find help elsewhere for a lower cost. Funny, wise guy, just too rich for my blood.

I found Story heating and air conditioning on yelp and noticed that they were by far the highest rated in the area, so I called and spoke to bill who was extremely polite and helpful. I explained my situation to Bill and he took care of it and charged what I felt was extremely reasonable and he didn't charge to drive the 20 miles from Chico to Orland. Anyway I was extremely pleased with the professionalism and great service provided to me and would highly recommend Story Heating and Air Conditioning 5+ stars.

They ran into a hiccup with the layout of our old home on the first day and immediately called Paul to come down and trouble shoot the issue to ensure the appropriate solution was found. After their initial site visit, LIUS&E kept giving me excuses about why they couldn't find a solution for my down inverters. Eventually, after literally weeks of having to call to get any information, it became apparent that these guys just didn't know what to do. So, I called Solar Works in Chico and the problem was resolved immediately. What a contrast between a professional solar company and merely wannabes. If you need an older (5+ years) solar system repaired, stay away from LIUS&E.

Arlo took the time to understand what we needed and brainstorm how we could make it happen with the least amount of remodeling or wall damage. He even stuck to his first quote when unforeseen issues with the house's original wiring set up took far more of his time than was reasonable. Stellar service, enjoying our new appliances and lighting. Cartledge is the only electrician we will be using from now on.

The quote from Jackson Electric fell right in the middle. But what set them apart and made our decision crystal clear was the thoroughness of their quote. Charles not only answered all of my questions and eased my concerns, but he also provided a very detailed quote that listed each item in detail for the work that would be completed. The quote included absolutely all of our requests to a T. Charles had great communication, was speedy at scheduling all of the needed permits and appointments, and kept us informed the whole time from start to finish. Charles and his team completed a full rewire of our 1950s cloth-wired home and upgraded our panel from an old XO 100-amp panel to a new 200-amp panel. As first-time homeowners, we were very nervous about this big project, but we knew our home was a huge fire risk with the old wiring. Charles set all of our worries at ease. His team completed the job a day earlier than promised and cleaned up very nicely. Charles also came back out to help us troubleshoot a concern after the project was complete, free of charge. My wife, our kids, and I can now sleep soundly at night knowing that our home's electrical is no longer a risk. Charles and his team went above and beyond for our project. This is a company that truly takes passion in the work that they do! I absolutely 100% recommend Charles Jackson and his team for any electrical needs that you may have.
