He and two assistants installed an outlet, ran a new wire for a circuit through the attic, and installed an EV charger in about 2 hours. Five stars isn't enough!! We collected quotes from six local companies, ranging from the big names…read morein town to midsize companies and even small independent electricians. The quote from Jackson Electric fell right in the middle. But what set them apart and made our decision crystal clear was the thoroughness of their quote. Charles not only answered all of my questions and eased my concerns, but he also provided a very detailed quote that listed each item in detail for the work that would be completed. The quote included absolutely all of our requests to a T. Charles had great communication, was speedy at scheduling all of the needed permits and appointments, and kept us informed the whole time from start to finish. Charles and his team completed a full rewire of our 1950s cloth-wired home and upgraded our panel from an old XO 100-amp panel to a new 200-amp panel. As first-time homeowners, we were very nervous about this big project, but we knew our home was a huge fire risk with the old wiring. Charles set all of our worries at ease. His team completed the job a day earlier than promised and cleaned up very nicely. Charles also came back out to help us troubleshoot a concern after the project was complete, free of charge. My wife, our kids, and I can now sleep soundly at night knowing that our home's electrical is no longer a risk. Charles and his team went above and beyond for our project. This is a company that truly takes passion in the work that they do! I absolutely 100% recommend Charles Jackson and his team for any electrical needs that you may have.

Last summer we found out it was WAY too hot in our toddler's bedroom and we just couldn't afford to keep the A/C running the entire night, so we started looking for someone to install a ceiling fan. I came across Captain Todd's Lighting & Electrical after I saw my neighbor across the street get some beautiful new landscape lighting and asked them who they used. (I was also looking for redoing my backyard, which but that's later on our list!) Anyway, I found out Todd did all sorts of lighting, including ceiling fans! Some electricians didn't return my calls, but Todd was very responsive. I found him to be very personable and when at least 2 other electricians didn't want to install my ceiling fan until the weather cooled (I live in the Central Valley where it can get VERY hot), Todd said it wasn't a problem and would just shoot for an early morning appointment to get the job done quick and get our kiddo's room cooled down! The day of our appointment it actually got really hot, really early, but Todd still toughed it out, I guess since he's a former Marine, he can work with situations that might bother other people! He got the job taken care of, and was super awesome with my kids who were very curious about all the work that was going on, and I was also glad that I was going to save a bunch of money by using another ceiling fan instead of cooling the whole house at night! All in all, Todd was responsive, had reasonable prices, and SHOWED UP when he said he would, unlike other contractors I've contacted just to get a quote! He wasn't afraid of the heat or the smaller space he had to crawl through to get in the attic space, and most importantly, he wasn't afraid of the million-and-one questions that my kids would ask him while he was doing his work! He also gave me some ideas for when I finally redo my backyard, and I will be sure to contact Todd for my future electrical needs! I attached a picture, sorry it's a little dusty (please don't judge me!), he did the work last year and I didn't take pictures until I found out Todd was opening up his new lighting/electrical business up in Chico. Oh, and he also made our 1 light switch turn into 2, because we wanted to be able to dim the light and still be able to use turn the ceiling fan just on or off, so there's a picture of that too!

If you are a new hot tub owner in need of quality wiring, Swearingen Electric is your company…read more After recently purchasing a hot tub, it was necessary to find an electrician to wire a 240v connection to the location. I am no good when it comes to electrical and felt my over-the-phone diagnoses were going nowhere with the other companies I had called for bids. Swearingen was the only of the companies to not only come out to give the estimate in-person, but also provide me with a timely quote. The quote I was given was in my budget so I went forth and scheduled the service. I based my decision heavily off of this company's online reviews as multiple had mentioned hot tub wiring, which was what I was in need of. Devon's assistant came out bright and early on the scheduled date and installed the line in the course of a few hours. I was impressed at the precision and feel that the quality was on par with what I was hoping for. Good electrician overall. I deducted one star as the final cost was 20% over what I was quoted - and it was due same day. Not the end of the world, but I did have to move money from my other accounts to accommodate the request (house-poor new homeowner here). Ultimately, all worked out. I can happily say that my hot tub works great. I'm glad I went with this company.
