COMPLETELY ASTRONOMICAL, GOUGE-LEVEL PRICING. The price yesterday was a whopping $569 for my woodstove cleaning, up from $309 just two years ago for the same exact service from them. They do -seem- to do a decent job as far as I can tell and my technician was very nice. I really don't appreciate a $20 "fuel charge" because I'm in Paradise. Scheduling appts is weird too... I had to give information to one lady one day, for another lady to call me back the next day. She then scheduled me between 12-4 and so I made special arrangements with work to leave at 11:30 for the half hour drive back home. Yet the technician showed up at 10:50 AM saying the scheduler told him "11" I guess, so I had to leave early and race home. Not really great for me or the technician, but things happen. I really think this was a great local business (they -still- heavily advertise touting that) which has CLEARLY suffered by being bought out by much larger ChimCare. This is very much reflected in the absolutely CRAZY pricing. If the price was even close to reasonable I'd probably give at least 4 stars. *After supremely out of touch owner comment: I would definitely not use them again now. Not sure how milk and eggs costing a little more at the store justifies you nearly DOUBLING your price for a service, but whatever makes you feel better for gouging people with your 84% price increase in 2 years. Why don't we all support each other by not just wildly jacking up prices because we think we can get away with it just because eggs are costing more? White Glove has twice cleaned my chimney, but the second time was the 'shame on me' visit. The first time, they left the cap loose which resulted in it laying next to my truck two days later following a wind storm. This time, they failed to clean stage 3 creosote from the chimney. They left the loose creosote laying on my roof which, after more wind, was on everything in the front yard. Worse, instead of cleaning the chimney completely, they said that the remaining creosote presented a hazard AND I should pay them nearly $4k for a new chimney. This after charging about double the industry standard. I called for two days asking about the remaining creosote but they failed to return any calls. After all, they had their money. Let this save you the 'fool you once'. Let the shame be on them, not you. I'll never use them again. read more

10 minutes agoNEW Been waiting over 6 months for the fireplace to get here. When it got here was installed and was told had to pay in full before it was inspected or tested. Plumber hooked it up turned it on we have fire called to get inspection was told it would be 2 weeks here we are 2 weeks later fireplace does not work and was told we'll be out in 2 weeks to do the final but nothing about it not working. There phone system sucks never get calls back. Will up date in 2 weeks.$10,000.00 and I have nothing at this point After several phone calls to them we got a call from the general manager. He's said that there phone system was a mess and they were getting it fixed and he and a technician would be here the next. They got here right on time fixed the problem were sorry for the confusion. Could not have been better to work with. Happy with the out come hope they get phone problems fixed. read more

My gas insert fireplace was not working all of a sudden. Even though it was a simple fix I was so glad Leo did the following: Inspected gas fireplace. Pilot off but valve on at time of arrival. Turned on pilot, thermocouple, thermopile, and igniter all in working order. Turned on burners, once with on/off switch and once with thermostat, and adjusted flame both in working order. Swept firebox including burner and gas log set. Applied rock wool to burners, this gives your burners an ember look. Removed residue from glass cover. Tested fired unit all in working order. Instructed owner on how to use gas valve and igniting pilot. Left pilot off and gas valve in off positions. Air Flow & Temperature Test of Dryer Vent. Inspected dryer and vent. No observable defects with dryer or vent. Tested dryer vent air flow at 2099ft/m at 148*F. Little to no lint in vent. Complimentary Home Air Pressure Test. Tested inside air pressure at negative 8 pascals with hvac off. Turned on hvac and tested air flow at negative 9 pascals. Leo was so nice to let me take a video of what to do once cold weather arrives so to turn the fireplace back on just in case I forget. Thank you for the Spring Discount as well! read more

I have been trying to find someone to repair my fire pit for several months and no one could direct me who to contact. Had an inspection and a cleaning done on 8/11/22 for $349.00. We were told to not use the fireplace until repairs were done. Their report said there was no flue liner and that we needed approximately $3500 worth of work (phone quote) and that a mason had to extend our chimney. I left a message for the mason they recommended but did not hear back. A month later with no follow up, we called a reputable local company. They found that the cleaner had not vacuumed the smoke shelf, leaving it full of soot, creosote, and ash and had left a lot of creosote on the walls of the smoke chamber. Turns out that the IS a flue liner present. At the time I made the appointment, I was told that there would be an inspection of the dryer vent. Jeromy did not do this until I requested it as he was leaving. read more

my dryer stopped working and I got an error code that it was a blocked duct so I called white glove. They were great on the phone (and had the best hold music I have ever encountered) they scheduled my appt and sent me a text reminder the day before. The morning of the appt, I received a text with the photo of the technician Nate, letting me know who to expect and when. Nate called me a short time later to let me know that he would be here shortly. He was very informative and let me know what he would be doing, and what to expect. He was very clean and professional and took care to not track in anything or leave any mess. He was super friendly and cute out and answered my questions. On Oct 19 2021 Tyler with another individual (Possibly a trainee) arrived at our home as we were having trouble with our free standing fireplace/stove. It would light but not stay lite. He arrived and spent approximately 8 minutes looking at the fireplace. He did not take anything apart just looked at it. Then he said that probably the heating element was going bad. That was it. He said that will be $399. I was so shocked that I paid him by credit card and he left. Yesterday John from Redding Comfort Heating & Air was here for 1 1/2 hours inspected and fixed our fireplace. His charge $265. His charge was fair and I would highly recommend Redding Comfort Heating and Air. The more I though about it the madder I got that Tyler charged $399. for what ?John also was shocked at the White Glove charge. I have tried three times to contact White Glove for repair and left messages each time. I have never received a call back. I also tried email and using their "contact us" form on their website. Unfortunately, they are the only authorized Lopi service center in my area. Otherwise I would be looking elsewhere. If they are just too busy to provide service, a simple phone call would do. Unlike the first experience, he did not voluntarily show me the pictures of the inside of the flu. I had to ask to see them twice. The before pictures were not clear and he forgot to take the after pictures. He spent very little time on the job. The firebox was not cleaned well.
