Flipping dough!
Jen C.

First time here - love the ambience! Their beer in taps was impressive! 60! I say again 60 beers!!!! The hostess was accommodating and allowed to get our drinks and food order in at the bar while we waited for a table to open up. Plenty of TV screens and projector screen to watch your fav sports. And for a casual space, the leather cushioned seats were a nice touch! We ordered the meat lovers pizza - their one and only size was a good portion to feed two. The sauce to dough ratio was perfect and flavorful. I could actually hold up one slice one-handed without it wilting and topping sliding off. I usually never eat the last piece of crust...I ate the last piece of crust - NOM NOM NOM! The dough was that good! I'm hardly go to Eagle River for anything, but now I have a reason :D

Nachos are always a favorite of ours!

Love this place! Service is always good, food is even better. Nachos are one of our favorites. Took family here from out of town, and they could not stop talking about ER Alehouse.

Vegan pizza!

The Eagle River Ale House has a rustic flare with Southern hospitality. All the staff were extremely accommodating even with my Vegan diet restrictions. The 23 yr old chef made me a custom pizza with Jalepeno infused oil. The chef mentioned he loves being creative and if you have diet restrictions just give him 1-2 weeks notice and he'll make dishes to accommodate your dietary restrictions.

Me and my significant other came here. Ate the jalapeño popper pizza with chicken. Great food! Beka was our waitress and had great customer service. Will definitely be coming back for the nachos, since they look about 2 feet high. #leftoversfordays

They were crispy and seasoned. The cheese sauce was on the side and was actually spicy and good. $11 fried pickles. One was fried lighter then The others which was weird. They were good but the others were a tad bit overcooked and were tough. Definitely NOT worth $11 for 6 skinny pickle spears. The batter was the right amount and not too thick. I would try them again in restaurant maybe. I do want to try a burger but I don't think it will be a drive across town just for burger zone situation.

Decided to try this place out as it looked interesting. The new period inside was very clean. But…read morein almost an hour and a half of sitting in the restaurant, we were only 1 of 2 total customers during lunchtime on a Monday. I ordered the Western Burger Zone but substituted pepper jack cheese for the American and no mayonnaise with tots on the side. The food only took about 5 to 6 minutes to come out from ordering. The burger was massive and was fresh off the grill as it was nice and hot. There was at least near a pound of brisket, it seemed, on top of the patty, and I was shocked there was so much for $17. Unfortunately, while the burger was super juicy as well as the brisket, there was not much flavor coming from the actual burger or brisket. It seemed like there had been no seasoning put on either minus some salt. A majority of the taste came from the added side of BBQ sauce or the two onion rings on the burger. While I was fully all the way into the evening from lunch, I felt that the burger would have been stellar if it packed some flavor. I unfortunately can see why it was dead, as it's a place I would not go back to if all the food is that bland.

Alaskan Burger & Brew has three locations in town and this one is located on Old Seward Hwy and E. 80th Ave. in front of Dino's Donuts. The dining room interior has a comfortable retro old-diner feel with 50's tunes playing. I wish more places were like this. The trendy metropolitan look that a lot of the newer restaurants are using for the dining area are nice, but they lack a certain comfort a classic diner look has when you're enjoying a meal. Not too many places have that feel in the fast-paced world we live in now. We chose a booth in the middle next to a stuffed Dall Sheep on display that towers over you. The employee at the front counter was friendly and very quick to take our order. I decided to go with the Mac & Cheese Burger (1/2lb. patty, bacon, macaroni & jalapeno cheese topped with melted American & Nacho cheese). My friend ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger (caramelized onions, mushrooms, Swiss cheese, and house dressing). We both picked onion rings for the side. The wait was only a few minutes before our orders arrived. Luckily, we came in before several people arrived to order for the lunch rush. The burgers were delicious as other Yelpers have stated in their reviews, but the onion rings were not that great. I will choose a different side next time. Other notable items on their menu include the Flamin' Hot Cheetos Burger (1/2 lb. beef patty, Hot Cheetos, and house Nacho cheese), Burger & Brew salad (1/2lb. patty on a bed of mixed greens, avocado, pickled onions, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, carrots, Swiss cheese with firecracker aioli and avocado dressing), the Octopus Dogs (beef hot dog links cut and fried to look like an octopus), and the Wild Fries topped with pico de gallo, chorizo, pickled onions, jalapenos, cheese sauce, and avocado dressing. Orders are available through GrubHub and DoorDash delivery. A sign is set up by the entrance showing their daily specials. This place is a good option for lunch during the work week.

They have a self-serve condiment bar with free pepperoncini and sauces. I had the bacon cheeseburger which was pretty good. It was dripping with juice and it was a good size too. Love that they serve it with seasoned fries. They were tasty and crispy. Not a super crazy menu but I would come back again for some burger!
