The staff is very nice, the atmosphere is what you want with a diner. They usually have the air conditioner on so make sure to bring a coat. The chili rellenos are great and the cook poaches a mean egg. I go here for work meetings and to eat a filling breakfast that doesn't burn the green in my wallet. read more

Had dinner on Sunday on Columbus Day weekend. I would recommend it for breakfast or lunch instead. Very cute theme of old diner with 60's music playing pretty loud. Clean and service good. I felt though that most of the food seemed pre-prepared. Ham & pea soup was not canned and it was good but it didn't seem homemade. Fresh vegetables were not frozen or over cooked but were steamed and bland. Would definitely go there again but not for dinner. Would be nice if they served breakfast all day as that appears to be their strength read more

Stopped in here after a weekend of camping on the 4th of July. They were super busy but we lucked out and got a table right away. The service however was very slow and it took at least 20 minutes to get our food (1 burger and 1 steak sandwich). I really enjoyed the salsa burger but my boyfriend was not impressed with the steak sandwich. An okay experience but not a timely one! read more

Shelia our server was a very rude and not attentive at all. I had to send the chicken fried chicken back for being undercooked. She brought out a different menu item of my choice with no sides. She made excuses as to why I didn't have sides. We asked for beverage refills multiple times and she ignored us repeatedly. Luckily, another kind waitress noticed her lack of service and refilled our waters, coffee, bused our table and asked Shelia to bring our check. I grew up in Gypsum and frequented the diner and this experience was disappointing overall. She needs to be trained in customer service as her attitude was very off putting. read more

Solid diner food. Had classic bacon and eggs. Eggs cooked the way I like. The bacon was OK, but I prefer mine crispier. Hash browns could have been a bit crispier. Worth a repeat trip, but next time I'll remember to ask for crispy hash browns. read more

Traditionally, I tip well for a service in house or to go, when I receive good service. Heck, I even tip something when the service is questionable. We were very happy at most of the places we visited w&ile in eagle but this was one of our favorite spots. The milkshakes are very thick and yummy and their santa fe sandwich is a must try. The service is super friendly. This place is a great stop if you are going through eagle county. read more

I came here in July 2018 and ordered an open face roast beef. It was terrible. The food was very salty both the roast beef and mashed potato. My husband ordered the same and he ate a bit and did not finish the rest. I'm very disappointed. read more

Ate here about a year ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Today, not so much. My daughter and I ordered your basic cheese burger and fries. After waiting for over 40 minutes, and a few minutes after seeing burgers and fries delivered to another couple that had ordered a while after us, I asked the waitress if there was a problem with our order. She rudely explained that they were busy, and made quite clear that she had been "doing this for 30 years, so don't give me any guff". Barely more than 50% capacity (due to COVID restrictions) and you can't get a burger and fries out in 40 minutes? And you're going to be rude to me for asking? Because you've been doing this for 30 years? After a few more minutes I canceled my order, offered to pay for my drinks (which was comped), and walked out. Insult to injury: The cashier followed me out to the parking lot and offered to bag my order "to go", no charge. No thanks. Had a great experience last night (Saturday) during dinner we a had a younger waitress (was one of the best waitresses I have had in a long time) and I often eat in Boulder and Denver and I tell you she was better! Not only did she make us feel welcome but so did everyone else on that shift. This morning another story. The man who was our server was rude, unfriendly and if I ever go back and he is there....I will take my family somewhere else. My Dad and brothers have came here for years during hunting season and my Dad was pretty disapointed with the way we were treated. Let me add the food was good both times, however rude service trumps that. My kids and I did the please and thank you's and all we got was silence and dirty looks. Friendly service and standard issue, lower end diner food. I have to say, however, I've been there twice and both times it was close to filthy. Just not a sanitary experience. Venture off the highway a bit and you'll find some better choices in Eagle. read more

Service was terrible. Had to send the vegetarian Chilli back because it was terrible. Waitress was offended, left and didn't ask if I wanted anything else. Vegetarian Chilli used to be good and has since deteriorated. So sad because this used to be one of my favorite stops. The rest of the food was just ok.
