Hello, My girlfriend was taken advantage of from a used car sales man. Her, her mother, and her female cousin went to a used car lot called "Eagle Auto Group" and the guy sold her a car that has lots of mechanical problems that were not disclosed at time of purchase. He also stated if everything wasn't as it seems he would give her money back (She paid $8000 cash). She has yet to receive the car and get the title or registration. After about 2 months, we have yet to have the car longer than 3 days because it's continuously in their shop "getting fixed". Yes. This place has beautiful cars. But I was never going to imagine buying something with so many problems. An hour after I got out of the dealer. ( with a car covered in dust, cause they couldn't even wash it or clean it) My check engine light came on, the engine cover came off, I filled my tank; gas was leaking, the 2 front struts are damaged, etc. I had finally saved up to buy something I always wanted to just pay double for it for all the problems. Worst decision I ever made was doing business with these guys and buying a car from them. They are using technicalities in the lemon law clauses for our state to hide the fact they sold me a product that legitimately had issues from day 1. I haven't even made my second payment yet and already have been stranded a total of 5 times. Only owned the car for less than 60 days. They also claim to offer help and then try and point the fingers at me and the shop I chose to take the car to be repaired one of the times because they wanted me to pay to get the car towed from Indio CA all the way to Phoenix AZ. Their so called office manager even told my wife "tough luck" on us having to forego our vacation plans as we were no where near our destination. Every single excuse in the book. Their sales staff is a joke. Check this, I also paid them for the title and registration at he beginning of March and had to call and email them repeatedly to get them to send me that as well. The temporary registration expired on 4/10/17 and it took me contacting their owner in order for the idiotic staff to do their jobs. I finally got my registration 1 week after they had expired only because I had contacted their owner. I am fed up with these guys and they even told me that because they paid me back for one of the repairs I should be happy. Really? You tell me what I should do after having to get my car fixed in California when being stranded out there with my wife and 2 kids in the middle of the night, that's doing me a favor? Well I guess it's my fault right? For choosing to purchase a vehicle and even the their manager says "you should have gotten something more reliable". But hey, they say that they can hook me up with their pricing on parts for repairs that are needed.... how convenient. Their mechanic band aided the battery issue, instead of replacing failed gaskets they used a silicone substance which did not hold and caused oil to mix with coolant fluid which is what took out the water pump they replaced on one of the repairs. They said they didn't have to give me a loaner vehicle while they fixed mine so they were doing me a favor.... well guess what, their loaner vehicle also had issues and I had to meet their sales guy late at night to switch out for "something more reliable" -dead battery upon sale -bad water pump 2 days after sale -shredded serpentine belt and busted pulleys and tensioners 1.5 weeks after the sale -leaking oil coolant hose 1.5 weeks after sale -shredded serpentine belt again 3 weeks after sale due oil leak with the oil filter housing gaskets (the seals failed due to the oil mixing with the coolant fluid) -several seals and gaskets in the system were just siliconed -$2500 later I'm still with a car that is unreliable This is the horror story I've heard about with used car lots and I am in the center of it. I know buying a used vehicle would come with some responsibility to manage repairs but all this in less than 2 months is just ridiculous and not really possible that their mechanic could have missed. I would never recommend this lot to anyone and if anything.... the owner of the lot who has minimal involvement in this business is the only person who actually has done anything for me and my family. Now I have little to no recourse and am basically SOL. I have the right to tell my story and facts to the public. Buyers beware! Don't go to this lot. They are rude ,unprofessional and very unorganized. They give you a 15 day warranty but I GUARANTEE after the 15 days you will have something wrong with your car. The other day while waiting in the dealership lobby I talked to at least 3 other people that brought their car back because they were experiencing major issues with their cars once they drove off the lot... since purchasing this car I had to get new tires, a alternator and was quoted about a grand to fix something else on the car. Do not buy a car from here they will give you a 15 day warranty but trust me the car is going to have issues right after that. I bought a car in November and week 2 the check engine light came on. I took it in to be fixed they claimed to have fixed it two weeks later it came on again. I took the car back 4 times then after the 15 day they said they can't fix it unless i pay. I had to take the car to Midas I've paid over $1500 in repairs. They sold me a car with a head gasket issue. I was expecting them to say have it towed and let the shop call us..... nope, all Rafi said was "what do you want me to do, it's a used car". On my trip the oil light went on. I pulled over, Oil all over the engine from a leaking oil hose, then the coolant low level light canon, it was supposed to have been fixed before I took delivery,10 min later the belt shredded and a no charge light came on, then a suspension light. Bought a 2010 Honda Civic Coupe, they sold it to us for a fair price. Their customer service and patience for the test drives was acceptable. Took it from their shop to my mechanic of 10yrs, both axels needed to be replaced, something I didn't feel test driving it. Wish I had known this or been told this before I bought it. Then.... I waited 2 months for the title, had to go down there to pick it up, they couldn't find it. Went the next day, and I had to take it to TCM motor vehicle service to put the title in my name. Once I was there they said that Eagle Auto had not done emissions (by law they are supposed to do it), thus back to Eagle Auto. Eagle Auto asked me to take it to get emissions done and they would reimburse me, once I did that then I went back to TCM motor vehicle services and Matt Eagle auto there for the title. Talk about a hassle. It starts with the leadership there. The workers are fine, but the leader/owner is arrogant and seems to not care about the customers and even talked down to his employees in front of me. High end selection, but be ready for a hassle and to deal with an arrogant owner. I brought the car back worried about what would happen. knowing these cars do have high mileage I always knew there would be cost. However a new rack means removing the engine. My husband and I purchased a vehicle from Eagle Auto Group and have had nothing but trouble getting them to stand up to their word and written warranty. After a short test drive, I noticed that the steering wheel was shaky over 50 mph. Shane, the salesperson, assured me that he would have it looked at and repaired by their off-site mechanic. The vehicle was in otherwise good working order and shape, and at the time, no warning lights had lit up indicating a problem. I trusted that they would remedy the issue and I would take delivery of the vehicle when it was rectified. I proceeded with signing of the loan documents and waited for the car to be returned so I could drive it home. A few hours later, another employee returned with the vehicle and said it was driving great, it was a bad tire and now the problem was fixed. He said he drove it on the freeway and it drove nice. I took delivery of the vehicle knowing I had a 15 day/500 mi warranty and if a problem arose, they would have to fix it. Plus, Shane gave me his personal cell phone if there were any problems when they were closed and directed me to call his cell. I left and as I gained speed on the freeway the car was so shaky that I was getting sick to my stomach. I called Shane immediately and he said we could take the car to our repair shop and they would cover the costs. He wanted me to go to "His guy", the following day, who didn't have a business name by the way (Shane told me the color of the building and the general location). After getting home, I searched the area where he wanted me to take the vehicle and due to the questionable neighborhood, I informed him that I was not comfortable being anywhere near there. He said that I could take the vehicle to my shop of choice, they can't pay the entire bill but they will help with it. The next day I took the vehicle to three tire shops, while on my way there the "Brake pad wear" light came on. Upon a brief visual inspection and based on my findings, all three tire shops agreed that the car had the wrong size wheels and tires and the only way to fix it would be to order new wheels and tires. We had no choice but to do that and garage the vehicle until this was done. 4 weeks later the wheels and tires arrived, we took the vehicle into the Porsche dealership and after a complete inspection they discovered that the back brakes were completely out...SAFETY ISSUE! We had to come out of pocket over $7000 between the wheels, tires and brakes and now Shane is giving us the run around. I'm not asking for the entire amount, only the cost to repair the brakes because that is a SAFETY ISSUE and any vehicle sold in the U.S. has to be sold with operational brakes. Shane gave us his word, and we have a written warranty. When I spoke to him, he said that we never told him about the brake problem and it was too long ago. I explained that the vehicle had been garaged the entire time and now is 400 miles into the 500 mi warranty. He said that we should have taken the vehicle back to him because they can do it cheaper so he is not paying for the repairs. I informed him that we have the right to take the vehicle to a shop of our choosing and since it is a Porsche, it will be repaired at a Porsche dealership. When I questioned him about the brakes he stated "we do not do inspections on the vehicles before placing them for sale..." because the place where we acquire the vehicles assures us they're ready to sale and in good shape." Bottomline, If Eagle Auto Group had properly inspected and fixed the vehicle before placing it up for sale, this all would have been avoided. Shane and the owner of Eagle Auto Group, put myself and my 10 yr old daughter into a dangerous vehicle. This could have been a far worse outcome. Luckily no one was injured, or worse! Unfortunately, our only recourse is small claims court. read more
