Taro king with oat milk and matcha milk tea
Emily Q.

tea and food was great! We got the korean fried chicken wings and it was so good!!! Highly recommend. Perfect sweet spicy. I devoured them. The tea was good too! Pretty big cup!

Junsheng X.

Great spot for a cheap milk tea run, but flavor is not crazy to write home about. It is a cozy local run business though, so I'd personally return if I'm in the area just for the pricing they have. Nice to see other milk options for their fresh milk drinks. It shares a store with Super Pan, which is a great spot to eat at in the Richmond.

Hokkaido Milk Tea w/ Boba and Pudding
Anh T.

I came here during the weekend and was able to find parking near the residential area. The design of the boba shop/restaurant was a bit odd, with minimal decorations and bright colored areas. I ordered the Hokkaido Milk Tea with Boba and Pudding. While the customer service was not up to par with what I wanted, my drink came out in a timely manner and tasted good! My friend saw that they were advertising Japanese soft-serves, so she got a chocolate one. We thought it was going to be fresh, but it came out of a freezer with ice around the soft serve. Still, she enjoyed it. I am interested in trying the food they offer during another visit!

honey lemon green tea w/ boba, 50% sugar, less ice
Linda K.

Drinks (3/5): I bought 5 drinks in total for my friends. All of them said it tastes really good, but my drink (honey lemon green tea) tasted horrible. It would've been better if the lemon skin wasn't in the drink. All I was able to taste was the lemon skin. Service (1/5): No hate to the barista or anything- I understand that he was alone in the shift during the time, but the attitude towards me and my niece when we were ordering and making the drinks was really unnecessary. I believe that he was being really moody because I placed a pretty big order and he had to do it on his own- which I understand -- big orders, more work to do... but he did not have to slam the drinks in the basket after finishing with one drink. When we were about to leave, we said "thank you" and "bye have a great day" but he didn't even bother to say a word back, and instead just glared at us. Environment (4/5): Place is pretty clean and organzied. Space is pretty small but I understand. There was also areas to sit on while waiting for our drinks to be made so that was a good thing. Overall: 2/5 -- Would be higher if the barista was treating us a slight bit better and without the attitude towards us.

Peach Slush w Boba

Stopped by after dinner for some bubble tea. I got the peach slush w boba and it was good! The price was $5.50 which I think is decent for the bay area.

Organic Jasmine Green Milk Tea w/ Boba
Kamy T.

Came here after dinner close by. It's been a long time since I've been here but it's still what I remember! Got the Jasmine milk tea with boba and it was solid - strong tea flavor, chewy boba. They don't offer an option to adjust ice/sweetness level here (maybe unless you ask, but I don't think they're trained to do so according to the menu), but my drink wasn't overly sweet. Fast service. Not your modern boba shop but a nice local spot.

Mango Sago w/ Lychee Jelly and Black Milk Tea
Anthony N.

2/5. Was in the area with few friends and we all had a craving for some boba. E Tea was close by, so why not give this spot a try. The Food: I went with a Mango Sago with Lychee Jelly and my friend had a Black Milk Tea with boba. The mango sago wasn't that great. The mango flavor was incredibly overwhelming and sweet. The Black Milk Tea was bitter and had a little burnt after taste. Not sure how that happened, but we ended up just trashing it. Boba pearls and lychee jelly tasted good though. The Service: Service was good! Staff was friendly when we walked in and browsed the menu. The Atmosphere: Nice ad small boba shop. It looks like they serve food as well inside, and from the dishes we saw some people eat. It looked very good. Maybe the food is just better than the drinks. Overall, a 2/5. The milk tea's we had were not good. It could've just been that particular day, but I don't think I'd recommend this place.

Matcha milk tea with boba
Sydney J.

I ordered online for pickup from Super Pan, which it turns out shares a physical space with E Tea. I got a matcha milk tea with boba. I asked in the special requests section for 25% sweetness and no or lowest possible ice. It still tasted quite sweet but I could definitely taste the matcha. They did honor the request for no ice. The boba was sweet and just the right firmness.

Passion fruit Tea
Samuel L.

A cute little shop serving a variety of teas and drinks. The decor was a bit cluttered and the service was a bit lackluster. The drinks were a little too sweet even though I got half sugar, but I would still rate this an average score just because the flavors were there and the boba was cooked well. It's definitely nothing special, but if you need a spot for a quick, refreshing drink, this is a pretty good option! Prices are really good too!

Guava Green Tea- not good
Joanne C.

This place reminds me of quicklys where middle schoolers come after school. But still I wanted to give it a chance. I got the guava green tea 50% sweet and there was LITERALLY NO tea flavor. Tasted like water with guava syrup. I had to toss it in the trash cause it was just that bad ): Normally I would come back to try their other drinks but I don't know if I want to spend the money and have the drink taste bad again.

Guava Green Tea w/ Aloe Salty Cheese Crema Drink
Alli W.

Pretty empty when we dropped by around noon on a Sunday. The menu is very confusing.... Feels like it's everywhere? Service is pretty quick and friendly. Organic black tea with salted cheese crema - 10/10. So good! It wasn't too sweet at all although I got 100% sweetness. Salted cheese crema went together with black tea so well, and made the drink very creamy with a tiny hint of sweetness. Their other salted cheese crema are the same! A huge fan of these drinks. Guava green tea - 5/10. No flavor of tea at all. Tastes like water mixed with guava syrup.

Black Sugar Milk Tea

Friendly, helpful service. Solid, milk tea. Maybe a tad watery, but i enjoyed it. The boba was good. Quaint place. Light music in the background, which is coming from the food place next door with which E Tea shares space.

The shop is small, and there's construction going on outside due to building renovations, but it doesn't seem to affect business at all. People were constantly coming in and out! Despite having only two staff members working, the team worked really well together, and the line moved pretty quickly. Compared with the other location in the same chain, I think this location does a much better job of maintaining the açaí's temperature and texture. As you can see in my photos, even on a hot day, I could slowly enjoy my bowl without the açaí melting into a watery mess. It stayed thick and almost sorbet-like, which is exactly how I like it! I also love that the fruit comes in nice, big pieces instead of tiny, finely chopped bits that almost look like baby food at the other location. The texture and toppings really make a difference! Overall, we loved everything here. Definitely coming back more often! :)

My best advice is to order in advance because two people hustled with pick up orders, walk ins and online orders. I waited about 25 minutes after adding two custom bowls to the TGTG order that sent me in. Every surface of the small store was immaculate. I looked around and wondered how intense the set up each morning would be, dicing and slicing strawberries, kiwi, mango etc. Palmetto Superfoods is a complex operation and the bowls were (chef's kiss) delicious.

In years past, there was a better than good chance that my friends and I would cap off our nights…read moreout at one of the many Asian dessert cafes that were sprinkled all over the Richmond District. Sadly, a bunch of those spots have come and gone, but quite a few are still around. Or, in the case of Sweet Mango, replace one of those original dessert shops, but still offer up almost the exact same menu that their predecessor did! Now, regardless of whether or not they're owned by the same folks as the popular Creations Dessert House that used to call this place home, it doesn't change the fact that Sweet Mango is pretty solid in its own right. Inside, this place is relaxed and can easily accommodate larger groups, unlike other dessert spots out there. Similarly, the menu is pretty extensive as well, featuring a ton of HK desserts (sago, glutinous rice balls, bird's nest, etc.) including many mango centric ones, crepes, HK toast, drinks, snacks, instant noodles, sandwiches, and even rice and spaghetti plates that come with the likes of black pepper chicken steak, curry pork chop, and more. -- (#710) GLUTINOUS RICE BALL WITH CRUSHED PEANUTS One of my favorite things here, as it has been one of my go-to desserts here. The glutinous balls always have a nice chew to them and I really like how well the peanuts complement it, both in terms of taste and texture. -- (#25) GLUTINOUS RICE BALLS, MANGO JUICE, MANGO ICE CREAM, AND MIXED FRUITS Another one of my go-to desserts, especially when I want something cold and fresh. Understandably, the taste of fruits is a bit dependent on the season, but I love how the juice and ice cream reinforce the mango flavor in this. Plus, the glutinous balls have such a nice chew! -- (#52) POPCORN CHICKEN I hate that I gave in to my curiosity because this was not good. While it looked fine on the plate, everything about this missed the mark - the batter was chalky and dry and the chicken itself wasn't very juicy. Hard pass. -- (#101) BLACK PEPPER CHICKEN STEAK with Spaghetti Ehh...not terrible, but not that special either. While the portion size was fairly generous and the chicken itself had a nice crust on it, I didn't love the sauce, which was kind of thin and didn't really stick to the pasta. Although what I've had here, as a whole, has been a little uneven, it should be said there is also a theme to it. Based on what I've had, as well as what my friends have ordered, the desserts here (and HK snacks, to a degree) have generally been pretty good. As for their more savory dishes and fried snacks, they've been closer to just okay than anything special. Nothing wrong with that, though, especially given how this is more of a dessert cafe. Plus, true to their namesake, their mango desserts have always been pretty good! With there being fewer dessert cafes than there used to be, there obviously aren't as many options to choose from. However, even with that being the case, Sweet Mango is a pretty decent spot and it's not like their more savory offerings have been terrible (popcorn chicken aside). If nothing else, with the way this place doesn't get as busy as Kowloon or Naya, they're super convenient! THREE AND A HALF STARS rounded down. CASH ONLY.

We were seated right away, and the server asked if we wanted water. We asked for hot tea instead. There were a total of 3 staff members working in the restaurant. One server was responsible for taking orders, bringing out food, and cleaning tables, so please be patient. The second staff member made desserts behind the cashier area, while the third worked in the kitchen. The place hasn't changed a bit since my last visit. It's still bright, and the tables are placed very close together. I understand that it's a small place and they want to fit in as many tables as possible. However, if you're looking for a place where you can chat quietly and comfortably, this is not the place for you. I felt like the desserts had gone downhill compared to before. I wanted to order the sweet tofu and black rice with coconut milk sago, but the server said they didn't have it and recommended getting the sweet tofu with black rice added. I followed the recommendation, but it wasn't good. The dessert was too watery, and the sweet tofu wasn't silky at all. The fries and wings were good, though! Despite the disappointing dessert, this place is still a good spot if you're looking for desserts, snacks, or a place to hang out and chat with friends. Parking can be a challenge at times, but if you circle around the block, you can usually find a spot.
