    Cucumber salad and spicy wonton
    Tammy D.

Stopped in for a quick lunch and service was quite fast! We ordered mostly off the dim sum menu since we didn't want to be too full. The cucumber salad is nice and refreshing, perfectly garlicky and tangy. Added chili oil for spice which made it even better. Honestly I wasn't expecting much because Savannah isn't exactly known for Asian food and I live in Dallas which has a lot of legit options HOWEVER the food here was pretty good! The soup dumpling skin was thin enough and held a decent amount of flavorful soup. The pork wontons in spicy sauce was delicious and my favorite, not overly spicy. Crystal shrimp dumplings are also a solid choice. We devoured everything and were perfectly full. The dim sum menu is perfect for sharing and being able to try a bunch of different things. I'd come back here again for sure

We decided to try out e-tang dim sum during SAV restaurant week. We had a much better experience here than we did at the original e-tang. They take reservations, I highly recommend making one. We arrived on a Saturday evening and it was a bit of a wait without one, but not too long since it was the Saturday post snow storm. I imagine it gets busier when the weather is better. It's pretty small on the inside. I can't remember what was here before, but I recall it being a very small bar. Great renovation work. Not much space to wait inside for a table and a small bar area. I love dim sum, haven't had it since living in Boston. I will say the prices are a bit high for dim sum and main courses - but it's downtown Savannah where prices are higher than normal... They also had a non-alcoholic Riesling, which was great to have. We ordered about two mains, dumplings, a side of fried rice, a Coke, a non alcoholic wine, and an appetizer and it was about $90. Amazing service, small space, beautifully decorated.

Cutest restaurant with the most adorable server. The inside is very casual without feeling like a fast food restaurant. The food was fresh and with good portions. I love that fact that the parking garage is across the street so it's a very convenient location.

The food was amazing, the service was awful. We walked in and were seated right away. The server came back and asked if we were ready to order. He did not give us menus!! He brought menus and took our drink order. We ordered the fried pork dumplings. They were really good. 6 to an order. We also had the rice noodle. I had lamb with hot and sour soup. They bring everything to you along with boiling soup and you a what you want. The boiling soup cooked everything, even the meat very quickly. The hot and sour soup was the best i have ever had. The heat was perfect. Maybe a little much for some people. The service though. We could not get the server to look our way to put in our order and actually had to call out across the dining room to get him to come by to fill our drinks. I was really disappointed with this. The food was really good but it wasn't good enough to make up for the poor service.

I was pleasantly surprised at the selection and quality of Chinese food here in Savannah, especially here at E-Tang Dim Sum. At the time of my visit, they were in the process of getting their liquor license so we unfortunately were not able to get any drinks, however, the food was so good, we came back a 2nd time before we left (my sons really loved their steamed buns and wanted to come back again. The service was very friendly and attentive throughout out our dining experience and the owner speaks both Cantonese and Mandarin (English too) It's a very good place to enjoy good Chinese food and Din Sum (additionally, if you like Hot Pot, they have another location that is within walking distance from here that serves Hot Pot, called, "E-Tang Hot Pot")

This place looks very unassuming from the outside but it was a great experience and the food was delicious! Definitely recommend the Garlic Cucumber Salad- not something I've seen at Dim Sum restaurant before. Also had spring rolls, Crystal Shrimp Dumplings and Fried Dumplings- all highly recommended! We will be back the next time we visit Savannah!

The New location on Whitaker. Great casual ambiance and friendly service. The steamed chicken dumplings were excellent. We also had the Tonkatsu and Tom Yum ramen. You can tast the care put into creating the broth. Noodles were perfectly cooked! We will be back!

So impressed with Savannah's Asian food scene now , so many delis options to choose from! E Tang Dimsum was superb and the duck with buns was scrupulous too! Best lunch ever! Hubby was happy and so were the kids! Becareful with the salted egg yolk buns though ...I tore it off with my hands and it splashed all over my face and dress But still so good even with all the mess!

As locals we are so exited for this new location. We came to eat during Hurricane Helene and our power was out for days, our service was amazing, charged our phones and let us relax in the ac for a bit without rushing us. Besides being caring she was attentive and friendly which complimented the amazing food. Soup dumplings are the best in the city, along with the siu mai , the egg drop soup was also warm and tasty. the menu has an huge selection, if we weren't full we would've ordered the peaking duck too which we hear is amazing. The best dim sum menu. Now that we've been to both locations we may have a new favorite spot. The new location is clean, and perfect for a date night or even dinner with family and friends. If we were a bigger group we would probably go to the other location for the lazy Susan on the table for better sharing.

Visiting Georgia, the customer service at restaurants and stores have been up and down, but we've had rare finds and rare successes with many servers at restaurants we least expected. E-Tang Dim Sum has excellent food paired with excellent employees and servers. Both women who waited on me and my girlfriend were exceptionally warm and patient. Sunny and Sarah were so on top of serving and were so considerate it felt like a vast difference from when we arrived in Atlanta, Georgia. They'd make sure to take away empty plates as soon as we were finished to give us more room, made sure our orders were exactly to the right person (including swapping cups when I opened the can for my girlfriend), and refilling drinks without being asked. E-Tang's food is beautiful, well played and very flavorful as well. These were the flavors we were craving away from home, and we're so happy it met our expectations.

Just look for a rather desolate shopping plaza on the northern side of DeRenne at Abercorn and Chen's is on the western side of that plaza. The food at Chen's, like many Chinese buffets, is hit or miss in that if you get there when it's busy it will be pretty decent overall. Another good option is to order off the dim sum menu, which they will provide you with should you ask for it. Otherwise, they assume you'll have the buffet just like every other customer. The atmosphere is far better than most buffets: kinda run-down and worn but at the same time, very charming with Chinese decorations and huge booths circa the mid 1980s. I discovered Chen's mainly because I was hungry for decent Chinese on my way back from Oglethorpe Mall one day. It's certainly not out of this world, but again it's alright and if you ask for dim sum or for things like sauces they will try to make you happy, especially if you demonstrate knowledge of Chinese food beyond knowing what an egg roll is . . . this is a cute little place too often overlooked. Plus, where else in Savannah will you hear vintage Leon Lai and Cally Kwong songs on the stereo?
