Say no more. Hibachi pit is the perfect lunch spot for when you want to grab a quick bite with huge portions. You can customize your meal making it as healthy or unhealthy as you want it to be. I ordered the rice bowl with crispy chicken and the sweet and spicy sauce. The sauces all come on the side in a small cup, but you can ask for more. There was so much chicken in my bowl, and plenty of rice and veggies to go along with it. The chicken was on par with most fast casual places. I did need to use lots of sauce though to get more flavor out of the bowl. It's nothing that will blow your mind, but it's a good staple to have in your lunch rotation! The price is really fair too, you get what you pay for.

We were crowded around the entrance for a while without much direction until I checked in; they have a policy of not seating until the entire party arrives (6 of us were there, awaiting 2). Once the full group was present, though, we were seated promptly. Our server was excellent--very polite and on top of things. Even when two of our orders came out wrong, the server corrected the mistakes so quickly it didn't disrupt the meal at all. The food quality is definitely where this place shines: * Portion Sizes: Massive. As you can see from the photos, the trays are packed to the edges with rice, noodles, and protein. * Quality: The steak was tender and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. You can tell they care about the quality of their meat. * Affiliation: Knowing they are connected to The Smoke Pit gave us high expectations for the proteins, and they lived up to the name. While it might not be the absolute best hibachi I've ever had, the combination of great service, huge portions, and solid food quality makes it an easy recommendation. It's a great spot for a group--just make sure your whole party arrives at the same time!

For my second attempt at e-noodle, I placed an online order, it took around 20 minutes before it was ready. Unfortunately, the Pad Kee Mao - Drunken Noodle with Pork lacked flavor and spice, and the noodles were overcooked to the point of being mushy. I ended up throwing most of it away. Additionally, the Lady Gaga roll, which I mistakenly assumed was a regular sushi roll, was also bland. Overall, I'm not inclined to give it another chance. read more

Food was sooo bland. Like for real, no flavor at all. I ordered lo mein which I feel like is pretty hard to mess up. Thank god I added extra veggies because the chicken was weird and slimy. On top of the food being awful and completely tasteless, the food was smashed into a to-go container that clearly was too small which ended up leaking through the entire paper bag and getting all over my car. It was just not good. read more

Living near Concord Mills, it's only about a 25-minute trip, and let me tell you--it is 100% worth it. My first visit was a takeout order of Pepper Steak, Shrimp Fried Rice, and a Shrimp Egg Roll. Even after driving all the way home, the food was hot, fresh, and completely blew me away. It was so good that when my mom came to visit, I immediately brought her back so we could dine in! Here's why China Q II is an absolute gem: * Pepper Steak: Tender to the point where it practically melts in your mouth, tossed with crisp peppers and onions in a rich sauce. * Shrimp Fried Rice: Real, authentic fried rice--not that bright yellow stuff you get at most places. It's packed with flavor, fresh green onions, egg, and tender shrimp. * Shrimp Egg Rolls: To die for! Perfectly golden, super crispy, lightly fried, and not greasy or oily at all. * Wonton Soup: A deep, savory broth packed with hearty, comforting wontons--the ultimate start to the meal. Beyond the food, the staff here is wonderfully kind and hospitable, making the dine-in experience top-tier. China Q II has easily earned a spot on my regular rotation. If you're anywhere in the Charlotte or Concord area, do yourself a favor and check them out!
