The food and the service were amazing. Every dish we had was hot savory and flavorful. King was our server. He was great and explained what we were wanting to eat. I highly recommend this place in the area read more

I used to come here frequently about 5 years ago but the quality has gone down since then. The quality of the beef in the Lo Mein and the pork in the tonkotsu was not good. The flavor of the broth in the ramen was also not as flavorful as before. Also, my friend asked for a shoyu egg but got a regular boiled egg instead. Otherwise, the place has very cute decor and despite being small has a decent amount of seats including a back area with additional seating. The service was also decent and efficient. read more

I live on the North side of Charlotte. Tip of it, to be exact. I'm about 15-20 mins away from Birkdale Village, give or take depending on traffic. I love sushi, & Kung Foo Noodle has some of the best in the area. The Lemon drop roll is my favorite. Since I normally get take out, this time I dined in & to my pleasant surprise, they serve chicken wings. I ordered some of those this go round as well as the rolls. Everything came out fresh, wings steaming hot, sushi super fresh. It was a packed house but the serve was still pretty good given the circumstances. Great food! read more

This go round of Kung Foo Noodle wasn't as good as my first, but I will say this visit was a Doordash order so I'm not gonna hold it against them too much. I ordered the double dragon roll, yuzu paradise roll, and crab rangoon. The double dragon roll was great, the other one was just okay and the crab rangoon was downright not good. It wasn't that they were too soft or anything since they were delivered. The filling just wasn't tasty, sadly. I think I will stick to non sushi options when I go to this spot. But I'm glad I tried it out and now I know. read more

We went on a Friday night and were surprised at how crowded it was. We were told it'd be about a 40 minute wait but it was actually much shorter. The place is pretty small and honestly I thought the menu was as well. I really wanted ramen and haven't found a place that I'm truly impressed with. I was disappointed in the lack of chicken options. We started with the Birkdale roll and both got the chicken ramen. The staff was friendly and even made my daughter kids chopstick. read more

I chose this place due to the high Yelp reviews. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing ? I was not impressed. I got the Hong Kong Noodles with thin noodles and additional veggies ($13.50). It came with pork, chicken, and shrimp in a broth but it was absolutely flavorless. I took about 5 bites/ sips of the soup and asked for a to go container so that I could take it home and fix it. I added hoisin sauce, chili paste, coconut milk, and curry when I got home and it was much better. I also ordered shrimp tempura sushi ($6) and it was fine. The restaurant entrance is cute and the decor inside is interesting with anime posters. The seating is those cheap, hard, metal chairs... so not very comfortable. I came for lunch and every table was full of mostly young people in their 20s. I wouldn't hurry back. But perhaps a different soup would have more flavor. No outdoor seating. Limited street parking nearby. read more

I ordered the Summer Roll with grilled pork, Pork Belly and the Chinese BBQ wings. The Summer Roll had absolutely no flavor. The Pork Belly was like eating an over cooked pork chop-honestly the worst I ever had. The only savory item was the Chinese BBQ wings. I am shocked that they have such great reviews. Maybe a bad cook night. I will not be back as I have had fabulous pork belly and summer rolls elsewhere. read more

Kung foo noodle has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants. Their food has been consistently delicious and the prices are reasonable compared to a lot of other places. The service is great too! Definitely a hidden gem in Birkdale Village read more

Food was excellent. No complaints. My Tom Yum was spicy and lemony ( lemon grass similarity), portions huge. Curry kick was creamy and flavorful. Spicy wonton in a slightly sweet sauce excellent, hand roll lots of tuna. But not very spicy. Mango bubble tea light , refreshing and good value for the money. Service was excellent. Very patient and explained our questions and gave suggestions. Jewel ia was our server. Very hospitable Ambiance was ok ( that's why the four stars). Wood benches , really? Hard. BYOP ( bring your own pillow , my wife's suggestion!). Would we come again? Yes read more

late afternoon and utterly unenthused about the evening ahead and my impending decrepitude... on the other hand my dining companion is super cute and seems open to suggestions... like going for a stroll around the green while we wait up to 30 minutes for a table. phone rings so we make our way back and settle in with hot teas (green and black) and icy waters. ask for teriyaki wings for starters; kung foo noodles for her main, kimchi fried rice and avocado salmon maki for me!! drums and flats are above average in size and flavor, red and sticky and come with a bunch of wipes :-) kimchi is a strongly flavored, middling heat, low garlic variety that sets up well with a fried egg on a pile of browned rice and chicken. all in all a most enjoyable evening out and dinner with the cutest of chicks in the quiet calm of birkdale. read more

This place is great! It is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in Charlotte! The prices are reasonable as well. I have been here many times and I have always received great food and service! They specialize in noodle soups so I usually stick to them when I order. They have good appetizers and sushi as well, however. So for appetizers they have great wings - large and very crispy! They also have wontons and dumplings. I usually get the sushi by the piece - a great bargain as some are$2.50 each and others are $2 each. I love their eel Nigiri sushi and the Yellowtail Nigiri. They have Bahn Mi sandwiches, Bao Bao and several other items on the menu as well such as stir fried noodle dishes, rice bowls and fried rice. OK, now for some specific recommendations. For wings I really like the Thai Basil, Sesame Chili Garlic and Salt & Pepper wings. Under small plates the Spicy Wontons and Dumplings are very good. For soups, all of them are fantastic but I really like the Lan Zhou, Curry Kick, and HotPot (very spicy!). They say their customer favorite is Curry Kick and I see why - it is outstanding! Lan Zhou has a flavorful beef broth. For beverages they have a variety of looseleaf teas, bubble tea, sake, wine and beer Including several local beers - none on draught though. Cheers! read more

Great fresh sushi rolls and crab rangoons. Crunchy tuna was wonderful. Ample sizes of the rolls.

Food was really good! Spicy wontons for appetizers were amazing, Singapore noodles were really good- maybe needed a little more curry but still really tasty Sushi was really fresh! The rainbow bomb was amazing! Service was great too, our waiter gave us really good recommendations and took care of us Only reason why I'm leaving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I wish they had more fresh roll varieties (not fried) and also the wait for our table was really long, they have more room for tables but are not using their space well, also vibe / atmosphere could use a little work. They don't sit customers at the bar and they just use it to put take out orders read more

Got take out and it was fast and easy. The chicken pad see yew was way more flavorful than what it looks. I was concerned at first that it would be bland by the looks. But it was packed with flavor. Overall, the experience was pretty disappointing. The service was very slow and not attentive. The parking on a Saturday was horrendous. I had to park at the nearby movie theater. And finally, the food was just bland across-the-board. Everything about this experience was just so boring. The edimame is a good example of what I'm talking about. It tasted like it had just been steamed thrown on a plate and had some salt dribbled over the top. No flavor at all. Hibachi chicken rice bowl had undercooked rice and crazy dry chicken. The only reason we have 3 stars is that we had never had tonkatsu and this place turned us onto it. This place is a pass for me in future. read more

This sushi place is in a really beautiful area with lots of outdoor seating, games, and green spaces! The menu is pretty awesome with such a variety of different things. Everything from Sushi to street food to wings and noodles! I had to drop them down a star or two, because although the sushi was presented beautifully, it lacked flavor big time! The Cheeto roll was so interesting, but the Cheetos were soggy ! Although the sushi was a letdown, the lo mein was fully loaded with shrimp, and very delicious! I'd give them another shot but maybe not the sushi! read more

Good food, reasonable prices, fast and courteous service. I've only had takeout here, but it's my go to for lunch.

Spectacular service, knowledgeable staff, food fresh and the way we wanted with great suggestions by server. Only down side is not their fault- difficult to find parking spot because they are next to apartment complexes. read more

So lucky I found this place by accident while attending the noon years eve event in Birkdale today. We walked in and were seated right away, quite a cozy little space. Luckily we beat the crowd that came in shortly after us, around noon. Okay, now let's get to the food. I ordered Crab Rangoon, shrimp tempura Maki, pork belly boa (not sure if I'm spelling that correctly), chili garlic wings, and bacon fried rice. Everything was absolutely delicious, I didn't care for the pork belly taco thingy because it was really fatty and chewy, but I understand that could just be my palette, it was still yummy. My picky 7-year-old tried the Maki roll (which is way out of his element) and said he liked it, he also really enjoyed the bacon fried rice and the wings! I also ordered the Mango Boba, which was yummy as well. The food was reasonably priced. I'll definitely come back to try some more things! read more

Love their lomein and spicy wontons. So much flavor! Great service, I mostly get it to-go and it's always so delicious!

We usually get takeout from here because the dining space is pretty limited, but their food is incredible. Their sushi is the best I've ever had and their noodle dishes are so good. The Lhan Zou noodle soup is a family favorite, along with the Hot Pot. We also like their Tom Yum and Curry Kick noodle dishes. Food was so good and awesome, better then silverfish in price and portion. There $10 fried chicken had so many flavors we had to order 4 for the table, loved each one. Especially the lemon grass and pineapple. Ordered the kimchi fried rice, it was spicy and sour. Ask for Japanese mayo. Makes it 10x better. Service was attentive and legendary. Will come again soon. Didn't have to wait too long for our food either. The gratitude wasn't that bad either. read more

This place has great food. We always go there when at Birkdale. HIghly recommended by yours truly!

We used to live in hville. Ate here quite often. After we moved I craved the lo mein. Nothing compared to it, no matter where we went. So when my wife was back in the area today and I couldn't wait for her to bring home some= stoked!!! I managed to get some down but threw out the rest. Hers didn't get more than a couple bites in. The lo mein was NOTHING like it had been before. It was pure fishy and that's not how beef is supposed to taste. No good sear on the fish-beef stuff (just grey meat goo color) , no scallions, no onions, nothing that made it killer. Now it's all sadly just trash. But the good thing is I don't have to crave it anymore. Why do folks have to ruin excellent food? It really really was 10 stars out 5, until it wasn't.... Suck. read more

They have great lo mein and the service is fantastic would really recommend this restaurant to tourists.

My go to sushi spot when I'm in Charlotte! The noodle soup is top notch!! They also have reasonable prices for high quality food.

Have been 2x now and both have been such good meals! The food is fresh, flavorful and there is a pretty solid variety. The restaurant is a bit small if you have a party but for 2-4 people you're fine most times. Keep in mind that this location is inside Birkdale village so it gets BUSY at night/weekends. Huge fan of the wings - the garlic ones are too DIE for. (Save the garlic for your ramen, thank me later). The tofu dumplings and the sauce that comes with it are also sooo good. The Tonkostu, Spicy Chicken Miso, Lan Zhou & Curry ramen are all WINNERS. I will say I wasn't a big fan of the tofu summer rolls, just a bit bland for me but the sauces it comes with are great. And I'm personally not a fan of bao but the sliders were a cool concept. Great value meal, can't go wrong. read more

I remember loving their Korean ramen, so decided to make the long 50-minute drive... I got there around 2 pm, and people were starting to clear out around the time of my super-late lunch arrival. Yet, you'd think I hit the place during rush hour...judging by the rash way they serviced me. From the moment I entered the door to the time I left, they had this panic-ridden, rushed style about them. Seriously, I wanted to shake my waitress and tell her to calm down. That there's only 2 tables of diners...and there's no need to act like the place was on fire. Not only seemingly panicked/rushed, my waitress had a rude demeanor...didn't even flick a smile, not even eye contact with me! She didn't check on me once either...not even for a water refill! Again, I was only 1 of 2 tables full...so I can only ask WHY?!? BTW, it's not because they were closing their lunch hours. I called in advance, and I was told that they opened all throughout the day...no separate lunch and dinner hours! Then the food. I tried their "Bao Bao" (2 Pork Buns) and this "Budae Jjigae" (Korean-style ramen/stew). Well, simply put, these Pork Buns just didn't taste good. In fact, they tasted bad. Made me realize how good those buns at Saru was a few weeks ago! Luckily, I was still able to eat them...I was SO hungry when I arrived! Even the "Budae Jjigae" didn't seem too good either this time around. Not enough salt, spicing...SOMETHING was missing. Did they change the Chef in the kitchen?? Now, I remember NOT loving their version of Bubble Tea (Bubble Tea "Slushie"??)...yet I ordered another one. Bad call on my part. Next time, if there is one, I'll just order Iced Tea instead. I just can't seem to sugar coat this at all lol...but I just had a bad restaurant experience today...both their food and service registered way below average. THE only reason I'm not rating it 1 star is because I'm chalking it up to yet another Covid thing. I mean, I LOVED this place on my first visit over a year ago! Maybe it's due to Covid, or maybe today was just an off day...but everything was beyond disappointing. Am starting to sound like a broken record, but is this the new norm in restaurants?? *SIGH* read more

This place sounds good at first but it wasn't. When I saw the menu, I was excited looking at all the noodle dishes they have, however; I was disappointed when the food came out. I got the beef chow fun, but needed to add more soy sauce and chili oil to make it not taste blend. My friends got noodle soup bowls. One was Tom yum and the other one I forgot the name but it tasted like water. I would not recommend these to anyone. Environment is busy and staffs are nice. Would I go here again?
