Amazing service always. I live next door and order from them all the time. The food is always good. Try the orange beef.....it's amazing

I love Chinese food and decided to try this place since it had great reviews. I ordered shrimp fried rice and crab rangoons for dinner yesterday and it was beyond AWFUL! It was not fresh at all and I am now absolutely disgusted that I even tried to eat it. TWICE. I thought maybe my taste buds were off Sunday and decided to try it again Monday morning. The whole dish tasted strange yesterday - the shrimp didn't taste fresh and the rice was hard and greasy... This morning I decided to try it again and everything was SLIMY! I am talking okra style, of course which made me want to throw it up! Friends advised I try this place and I would NEVER EVER GO BACK! This is absolutely the worst Chinese food I've had in my entire life - and I have eaten a lot of it! :( Please, please, please don't serve customers old, bad food. I could have gotten really sick! read more

Stopped by here for dinner and enjoyed their sesame beef. I was missing veggies so I ordered steamed veggies too. Unfortunately they only had the veggies as a main dish, so of course there were leftovers on both items. Even hopped on the plane with the food and enjoyed t)3' at home in Colorado. Service was pretty good. Steady stream of customer/ for pick up and dining in. Appeared to be a favorite of several folks. read more

China Palace - Chinese Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

Pretty high-level standard chinese food. Probably top 5 in charlotte when it comes to chinese. Service is fine, you get the food you leave or you sit down and get the food and eat. It's a usual chinese takeout that's pretty solid, not exceptionally good and caters to american tastebuds. read more

The food is incredible! Wonton, rangoons, beef and broccoli, lo mein, Spring rolls- all amazing! Super nice people! Very timely with our large order. read more

Let's start out with some backstory that nobody asked for. I'm a Marylander and I have lived all over the states. This means I have had various takes on Chinese food and I know what I like. This place reminds me of the Chinese food from up north. In Nebraska, we had an amazing place called Dragon Cafe that was rated in the top 100 Chinese restaurants in the US. Their egg rolls were to die for. China Palace's steamed dumplings taste identical to the ones I was addicted to at Dragon Cafe. China Palace's crab Rangoon are on the more savory side, but they taste more like what I am accustomed to, as I find crab Rangoon down here to be too sweet and lacking depth of flavor. My boyfriend tried the Happy Family and I was delighted to see that everything was cut into bite sized pieces, as it should be in any cuisine in which you are supposed to use chopsticks. The flavor was delicious. I ordered the seafood udon noodles and was impressed with the depth of flavor. It had just a hint of underlying sweetness and was savory. The shrimp and scallops were cooked perfectly. Did I mention that when we first ordered, we were given fried wonton strips and duck sauce? That's something I haven't experienced since moving down here. The staff were friendly and the tables were shiny. I'm going to check DoorDash the moment I post this review to see if China Palace is in my delivery area, because I am so tired of lackluster Chinese and I fully intend to only order from here from now on. (Of course, follow my reviews to see if this changes. Who knows, there may still be another hidden gem nearby.) read more

Always super fresh! Staff is always polite and gets food out quickly. Beats out the other places in town by far.

The food from this spot is top tier! I have no idea why it's 3.9 it should be at least 4.6! So sad they don't deliver. We drive across town just to get some. Everything I had has been delicious and with lots of flavor. Being from NY it's been hard to find a high quality spot that anything you order is good! read more

China Palace was perfect for a Sunday night craving of Chinese food. Everything was fairly priced, hot and delicious and the portion sizes left us with lots of leftovers to have for lunch and dinner the next day. This is a great spot for an easy and quick dinner! read more

Love, love, love getting food from China Palace! My boyfriend and I recently moved to the area and were looking for a new favorite Chinese takeout place and we found it!! Never had any issues, the workers are nice and complete your order correctly and quickly. Personally, I'm a fan of Spring rolls, Sweet & Sour Chicken, and Sesame Chicken. If you're looking to treat yourself with some dessert, the Chinese Donuts are delicious! read more

Food is amazing, servers are friendly and the portions you receive are great. $30 takeout order and I can eat 3-4 meals out of it.

Like the shrimp chow me in.the egg rolls are yuck and the fried rice not so good, but heard they have a great house soup. Will be back

A friend and I had dinner here tonight. The service was very friendly and the food was great, The dining room isn't much, and we had to switch tables because the booth benches we first sat down on were so old and worn, we sank down half a foot. The second booth we tried was marginally better, but since we didn't want to play musical chairs any more, we let good enough alone. The menu is your basic American Chinese -lots of lo meins and kung paos and that sort of choices. We shared a Pu Pu Plate For 2 (Spring rolls, shrimp tempura, chicken wings, teriyaki chicken, and crab rangoons). The price ($9.95) was very reasonable and the taste (not greasy at all) made this a solid value. For dinner I went with the Jalapeno Chicken (served with white or fried rice) for $9.95. It was a pretty generous portion, but curiously wasn't very hot and spicy at all. I should have asked for some chili oil to zip it up. One more curious thing was the dish was served with a lot of onions, so many onions that the server warned me that it came with a lot of onions! I guess onions are cheaper than pea pods or water chestnuts which would have given the dish some more crunch and interest. It was fine, but could have been better. My impressions were that this would be a solid take-out place, but not much of an option for dining in, unless you're a no frills guy or gal. read more

still one of the best Chinese restaurants on this side of town in my opinion. I love a good spicy lomein and they don't disappoint! Service is fast and I always return for carry out! I've lived in some good spots with great chinese restaurants and this is one of the closest I can't find read more

Been a while since we've had actually good Chinese food, and not just like- edible Chinese food. This place was excellent! The staff was super friendly when ordering and picking up. We got the scallion chicken, sesame chicken, fried rice and lo mein noodles! Everything was cooked to perfection. The chicken in both dishes was in smaller pieces and that gave it more crispy-ness. The sauce is both dishes was great, and the noodles and rice were perfect as well. Huge portions! We could have easily fed our family of 4 with half of what we ordered! This will definitely be our go to spot! read more

The China Palace never fails to satisfy. There is a scarcity of high-quality Chinese cuisine, particularly in Charlotte. China Palace - Beef & Broccoli , spicy wings, crab ragoons, general tso chicken, sesame chicken, Mongolian beef, house Lo Mein, chicken fried rice - Chinese Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

Been looking for top Chinese in the area, and I think this is the spot. They were takeout only due to COVID, so I called in and placed my order -- Ready in 20 minutes. The cashier was really nice, made sure I had everything I needed before I walked out of the door. Very clean establishment, decor like your average Chinese restaurant. The Shrimp Fried Rice was great, no complaints. Not the absolute best I've ever had, but I still really enjoyed it. The Spring Roll was a little above average (had a black pepper taste), next time I think I'll get the egg roll. The portion size on the rice was more than enough which I love. Overall, this place is pretty sweet. I'll be coming back, glad I finally checked it out. read more

Food was okay. Staff was very nice and accommodating! The egg rolls were "horrible!" They looked like spring rolls ( that was disappointing because they were small.) But the flavor was not that of an egg rolls. It was totally off! It's difficult to find a really good Chinese restaurant in the University area...SMH...would love an alternative! read more

This place is exactly what you'd expect when you think Chinese takeout. Everything was good. I got the chicken with cashew nuts without mushrooms and fried rice, egg drop soup, and crab Rangoon. The soup was exactly what you'd expect. No complaints. The crab rangoons were good. They were more savory than sweet. I prefer mine sweet but that doesn't mean they were bad. The cashew chicken and rice was perfect. The food came out to around $20 which isn't that bad considering everything I got. The service at the counter was great the woman I spoke with was very nice. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area! read more

Good fresh Chinese food in the university area at affordable prices and excellent service.

Great service, great food, and they have large portions for a fair price! Highly recommend

I will say that you do get an enormous plate of food for $6 lunch special. I ordered the Sa-Cha chicken (spicy) and accepted the recommended fried rice & eggroll. Wait of less than 10 minutes after order to get food. Only 2 other tables seated at that time. Spicy was not very spicy. Fried rice seemed to have been reheated instead of fresh. Food was hot, and the plate was filled rim to rim. But just not that tasty. Lots of veggies, which I liked, but the whole thing was just blah. Egg roll was small and OK. Free crunchies with duck sauce to start. Waitress never checked back after food was delivered, so no beverage/water refill offered. Nothing bad, but nothing good either. Don't think I will make a 2nd visit. read more

China Palace - Sa-Cha Chicken, fried rice & eggroll - Chinese Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

I think I found my Chinese spot! I got orange chicken with fried rice and an egg roll. The food was nice and hot when I got it which is great! The wait wasn't too bad either. The chicken was crunchy and the sauce was great! The fried rice was okay. Honestly, if it didn't have any color due to the soy sauce, I wouldn't have known it was fried rice. The rice didn't have a distinct taste to it and it didn't have any veggies in it. The egg roll was good but I wished it was bigger. Definitely going back though and the two lady's behind the register were really nice. read more

This place is in a high traffic area UNCC, University City Hospital, Food Lion so lots of people frequent here. Do Not Be Fooled. The food here is sub par. I ordered General Tso's Chicken meal. It did not come with an egg roll like most combination plates. So I had to pay extra for a bland egg roll the size of a spring roll. I asked if I could pay extra to add an egg since I figured there would be very little egg in the fried rice. They told me no, they don't add eggs. I asked if the fried rice had onions which they told me I would have to pay the cost for vegetables fried rice ($3.75) to add a couple pieces of onions. Once I got the fried rice I saw why, it was just white rice with just enough soy sauce to turn it brown, nothing else. In fact, I had some grains that were still white. The rice was dreadful. The was no flavor at all because there were no ingredients in the rice to give it any taste. Very bland. The General Tso's chicken was just okay. China Palace comes highly unrecommended and could not survive in any other city. The only people purchasing from here are college students who will eat anything and people who have never had the pleasure of tasting good Chinese food. China Place is giving, any race other than Chinese, trying to make Chinese food at home for the first time. read more
