This place is buzzing and was super busy on a Friday evening but we were able to get seated quickly. The menu is large but is a bit lighter on vegetarian option. Noodle entree explicitly had vegetarian choices but most of the rice dishes had some or other meat. While they were flexible to change the ingredient but I wish they made the rice vegetables and specific meats to add just as the left side. The food comes on hot scale of 1-5 and we ordered a 3 and 2 but one that was made on 2 scale was hotter than 3. We requested they replace it which they did after bit of resistance, so for a child may be ask for spice level of 1 next time. Pad see ew and lomein were good otherwise. Spring roll was good. Tom yum soup listed had seafood but we asked they make vegetarian and they were able to puts lots of vegetables, I wish they offered it as either or. The ambiance is a that of a bit old Thai place. We opted for the spring roll which I'm sorry I didn't take a picture of because they were tasty. Service is always top notch. They're very accommodating and friendly and takeout usually takes about 10 mins. which I think is pretty great. I hate to say why I keep knocking off points is the food. It is hot and fresh. You get plenty of it for either a lunch or dinner portion, but I'm missing flavor. I did have the basic chicken and broccoli, but I've had chicken and broccoli from other places where the sauce is GREAT. Here, the sauce isn't horrible but it also isn't memorable. Same goes for the fried rice. I had to doctor it up to get some flavor. They have an extensive sushi menu, lots of delicious options They have a big menu of mixed drinks and the like. It can be kind of hard to choose from all the different dishes but there's something for everyone. I got the special which was ginger glazed salmon, and let me tell you! It was some of the best salmon I've ever had. It was perfectly crisp yet not over cooked, it still had that moist tender texture you get from decently cooked fish. The wok blistered green beans and snap peas were a perfect compliment. My wife got the hibachi steak which had great umami and was nicely tender. I ordered the Beef Short Rib Noodle Bowl, Steak Hibachi, and Chicken Hibachi, and this was one of the most disappointing takeout meals I've had in a long time. The noodles in the short rib bowl were mushy, clumped together, and completely overcooked. On top of that, the ratio was way off -- barely any noodles, and the little bit that was in the bowl was stuck together in a soggy block. The hibachi meals were even worse. What they served as "steak hibachi" was basically Salisbury steak swimming in gravy. Hibachi should never be drenched in sauce like that, and it absolutely should not resemble reheated cafeteria food. It was unappetizing and honestly pretty disgusting. Both hibachi dishes were a total waste of money. We tried calling the restaurant as soon as we opened the food at home, but no one answered the phone. For a takeout order at this price point, the quality and care should be much higher. This experience was frustrating and deeply disappointing. I would not recommend ordering from here. read more

The kids were happy with their teriyaki chicken and noodles, which is always a win when dining out with kids. The curry roast duck was another standout--the duck itself was crispy and the curry was rich and flavorful. The vegetable medley on top didn't really add much to the dish and could've done without. The lemongrass chicken rice noodle salad was flavorful and light. However, the tangy Vietnamese dressing was not our favorite. Incredible place to eat! The owners are so sweet and our server was amazing. I ordered the mapo tofu and my boyfriend got sushi... both dishes were the best I've had. Based on the Yelp reviews, I came here for lunch while working in the area. I called and ordered General Tso's chicken lunch portion with a spring roll for less than $10. I was told it would be 20 minutes, so I ran some errands. When I arrived, my order was ready. The cashier was really sweet, and the speedy service was a plus. But if the food is not up to par, it's hard to give a better rating. The spring roll was flavorful but cold to the touch and cold when eating. The General Tso's was soggy, and the breading was falling off. There weren't that many pieces of chicken but chocked with barely cooked peppers and onions which were clearly a filler. Both the sauce and the chicken were so disgustingly underseasoned and tasted like dishwater. I ate what I could and trashed the rest as I had to get back to work and didn't have time to wait for a remake which I doubt would have been any better. 5 stars for Concord, that's for sure. I don't know that I would give them more than 4 in a major city. Rarely do Asian places that try and do "too much" actually do anything well. This place is a huge exception and is reasonably priced. The Pad Thai is great. General Tso's better quality than anywhere else near Concord. Sushi is upper tier for the area. Dumplings are superb. I mean, all the noodles are great, I think that's why they named it the way they did. So try the ramen and try the pho. Be aware that this place is busy for lunch and dinner almost every night of the week. Sometimes you'll wait, so I prefer to just get food to go. If I'm every cruising by near there during lunch, this place is an obvious front runner for a quick to go meal. When the weather is nice I might even stop in and eat on the patio. They greet you as you come in and make sure you're comfortable. They have such a diverse menu, there's something for everyone. I had fresh rolls for an appetizer. My son had the spring rolls. The fresh rolls left a lot to be desired. They had kits of lettuce and a few shrimp. There was no Thai basil or cilantro in either roll. They must've been put together quickly, as the cellophane like rapper was loose- so when you bit the roll, it kind of collapsed. The peanut sauce and the chili garlic sauce tasted great. The fried spring rolls were crisp and good. The red seafood curry was excellent. The soup had shrimp, scallops, full bellied clams, squid and crab. The curry was so dang tasty and the fish was so fresh!! The portions are huge. I cannot wait to get the sushi. I'll leave that for my next visit. The atmosphere was great for family style dining.
