We visited Hibachi Pit in Concord to celebrate Team Appreciation Week. Since we are big fans of their affiliate, The Smoke Pit, we had high hopes for the food quality--and they did not disappoint! Our party of 8 had a bit of a bumpy start. We were crowded around the entrance for a while without much direction until I checked in; they have a policy of not seating until the entire party arrives (6 of us were there, awaiting 2). Once the full group was present, though, we were seated promptly. Our server was excellent--very polite and on top of things. Even when two of our orders came out wrong, the server corrected the mistakes so quickly it didn't disrupt the meal at all. The food quality is definitely where this place shines: * Portion Sizes: Massive. As you can see from the photos, the trays are packed to the edges with rice, noodles, and protein. * Quality: The steak was tender and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. You can tell they care about the quality of their meat. * Affiliation: Knowing they are connected to The Smoke Pit gave us high expectations for the proteins, and they lived up to the name. While it might not be the absolute best hibachi I've ever had, the combination of great service, huge portions, and solid food quality makes it an easy recommendation. It's a great spot for a group--just make sure your whole party arrives at the same time! read more

Feeling hungry? They got you covered, large portions are to be had. Looking for something fast and casual? Hibachi pit has got you covered there too. Looking for fast and friendly service? Say no more. Hibachi pit is the perfect lunch spot for when you want to grab a quick bite with huge portions. You can customize your meal making it as healthy or unhealthy as you want it to be. I ordered the rice bowl with crispy chicken and the sweet and spicy sauce. The sauces all come on the side in a small cup, but you can ask for more. There was so much chicken in my bowl, and plenty of rice and veggies to go along with it. The chicken was on par with most fast casual places. I did need to use lots of sauce though to get more flavor out of the bowl. It's nothing that will blow your mind, but it's a good staple to have in your lunch rotation! The price is really fair too, you get what you pay for. read more

Great experience! Without reservations at dinner time on Valentine's Day, we called several places and landed here when they had a wait time less than 30 mins. If you're looking for an intimate, romantic date night spot, this isn't the place. It was difficult to have a conversation because of the noise level and our table was essentially connected to the one next to us. BUT if you're looking for quick service, friendly staff, and delicious food, then you're in luck! The menu is to the point and very easy to customize exactly how you want. I had the hibachi plate with chicken, shrimp, fried rice, veggies, yum yum sauce & sriracha. You get to choose what protein, sides, & sauces you want with lots of options to choose from. The food was honestly pretty fantastic! Chicken was cooked perfectly, very well seasoned and juicy. Some of the veggies were cooked unevenly, however, I had some very undercooked broccoli on my plate. The fried rice needed just a touch more seasoning, but of course the sauces helped with that. The value is definitely there. The portions are HUGE. My takeout box literally looked as if I'd taken 2 bites of my food, and believe me I was stuffed when we left. I'd be more than happy to come back here. read more

Hibachi Pit has rung bells around my side of town for some time now. I finally had the opportunity to go check it out for my self a couple of days ago. The portion sizes are massive. The food was pretty good. Not the greatest hibachi I've ever had but definitely worth the try. They have a very extensive menu as well. The server did a great job & it's a family friendly environment. read more

Hibachi rice with chicken and shrimp and sweet& spicy sauce on the side. By itself, the chicken was good but the shrimp and rice needed some flavor. Very bland. I added the sauce all over and stirred it up real good and the meal came to life. For a hibachi spot the food preparation needs some work. read more

Truly my favorite hibachi spot in all the land, I'm devastated we don't live closer! They've changed and rearranged their menu over time but the quality has always been spot on. I love the fact that you can build your own plate - they have tons of options where you can mix and match including plate size, proteins, and side items. They also have great sauces on the side for dipping. The service is always friendly and quick. You better bet if I'm in concord I'm stopping by hibachi pit, full stop! read more

I've been hearing from a lot of people the food is amazing and I wanted to go check it out for myself (really didn't feel like cooking ) I went expecting to have food cooked in from of me and was super excited. I realized this was a sit in restaurant that don't cook in front of you. I was a little disappointed but it was fine. The food looked amazing but I wasn't too impressed. I wanted more flavor and it kind of lacked it. The customer service was truly amazing and wish this type was everywhere! I will go back and try something different, but go check them out for yourself! read more

Food is incredible every time. Huge portions. Only reason it's a 4 star is because it is always a long wait for our food. The food makes up for it, but don't go intending to be in and out! Yesterday we went and were the first customer or second since they opened at 11. We figured - great! This will be quicker today.. took at least 30 mins for our appetizer to come out- which was steamed edamame. We're thinking oh great so another 20 plus mins for our entrees then.. nope came out 3 mins later, so only had a moment to enjoy appetizer. Portions were great, which is good because prices have gone up (like everything else !) after tip it was $70 for two people, one appetizer and one soda. We don't go a lot, but we're celebrating my bday a little early. So it was a nice treat. It's always very clean inside and nice staff. read more

Great spot for Saturday lunch! I split the plate with my kid which would have been enough for another adult. The servings are made for a snack later! Great flavors overall and the fried rice was best I've had in a long time. Not overly greasy. Nothing was greasy like most other Asian places. The chicken was white meat in chunks not the usual sliced thin kind. Best Asian food I've had in a long time! Get an egg roll if they have them. They are ginormous! Sharon provided awesome service with a smile!! read more

I gave this Resturant another try after not visiting for about the last six months. I ordered a hibachi vegetable plate which was piled into a rectangular container with rice noodle noodles at the bottom and a handful of vegetables on the top. I added in the instructions requesting no onions and no mushrooms however it's still included both. Unfortunately, I was sick immediately as I was eating the food and had to throw it away. I will not be visiting this location again. read more

This review is for takeout only. I ordered online and picked up my food about 30-40 min later at the pickup counter towards the back. The process was super simple. I should have looked in my bag before I left because they gave me 4 yum yum sauces instead of the 2 mustard sauces I selected. Don't get me wrong the yum yum sauces is ok but I like to switch up the flavors when I dip my meats and veggies. Plus I love mustard sauces and so I was disappointed. I ordered the three headed dragon with 1/2 fried rice and 1/2 noodles. The fried rice was on point but the noodles were lacking. Flavor wise it was decent but they were plain. I ended up adding soy sauce to it. They could have jazzed it up a bit with some green onions or something. The filet mignon was not bad but wasn't medium well like I had selected. The shrimp was perfect and served with the tail on. The chicken is a cut of chicken breast and cubed. They both were good. Idk how I ended up selecting no mushrooms bc I love mushrooms so I'll have to make sure I get those next time. For my veggie I did broccoli which pairs great with the ginger sauce. Overall this place is good. I'd order takeout again but will check my bag before leaving next time. They had limited seating and do not cook the food in front of you but tons of parking. read more

If you love Smoke pit make sure to give Hibachi pit a try. They are serving large portions and the dishes are delicious. I love how the have a kids/senior meal and they are even a good size. They also make sure you have a good amount of sauce for your dish. Plus all of the sauces were flavorful except the mustard sauce. It wasn't our favorite. I've ordered the chicken and shrimp and a chicken and steak combo. Both times I got the yum yum sauce and the sweet and spicy sauce. I've tried the ginger sauce but prefer the first two. The chicken and shrimp were cooked well but I loved how tender the steak was. I will definitely order only steak the next time. The Crab Rangoon were highly recommended and they didn't disappoint. Service was amazing and efficient. We need more Hibachi Pits. I already have plans to go back in the next month and keep recommending them to friends to try. I was quickly seated and served my food, it was not very busy however on this Saturday @6:30pm. The food was okay. I've seen in other reviews that the meat wasn't cooked well and I agree. Nice and big restaurant. They had a long wait on a Friday night but I like that they call you when the table is ready so you can wait in your car. Service was great! Our server was very friendly and helpful. The menu is pretty big and they had lots of combinations. I went with the hibachi chicken and got half fried rice and half noodles and sweet carrots as my side. The sauces come on the side, which is nice but I do prefer the taste of the chicken when it's actually cooked in the teriyaki sauce. The chicken was good, not very flavorful. All of the flavor was in the sauce. The noodles and fried rice were also a little bland as well as the carrots. read more

I decided to try this place out on a whim! I was literally scrolling through tiktok trying to find a place I have not been to, and that is different from the everyday burger and pizza options that are on every corner. This caught my eye, and Hibachi sounded like a great option! We arrived and the parking lot was packed to capacity. Luckily, someone was leaving and I was able to snag a spot. I went in and joined the wait list, which was an estimated 45 min wait time. I will say I don't think we waited that long. We were paged and seated right away, and this place gets packed. It's not a super big space, plus there is not an option for outdoor seating, so keep that in mind. It was Saturday around 4:30 when we went. The decorations are minimal, and the restaurant was clean. Our server was really nice and patient. She offered some opinions on the menu since I made her aware that this was our first time. After placing our order, the food did take some time to come out, but it was hot and fresh when it did, so no complaints! I ordered the hibachi combo of chicken and shrimp, split hibachi noodles and fried rice with a side of mixed vegetables. 8/10 - The chicken was a tad bit dry and the shrimp could have been seasoned a bit better, but overall I enjoyed everything. Crab Rangoon 5/10 - No crab (real/imitation) what so ever in this thing, just wanton dough with watery cream cheese filling. They were hot and fresh though. I didn't care for them, but my son enjoyed them! Fried chicken wings with sweet n sour sauce on the side and hibachi noodles 10/10 - This is what my son ordered and it was a ton of food for him, they only offer one option for kids and he didn't want that option, so he ordered noodles with chicken wings. He LOVED his food! I snagged a few wings and they were fresh and piping hot, and seasoned well! We both had plenty of food to take home. We'll certainly be back to try other items. Our server said the steak is really good here, and that normally would be my go to. But, at the moment, I'm taking a break from red meat, but I have already put the steak on my bucket list of things to try when we come back! read more

We stopped by for a lunch visit during the week. I advise getting there when they open as they filled up quickly. They do not have a lunch menu but prices are fairly reasonable. The dining room and restrooms were clean and spacious. They offer a mix of high top tables and booths. The service was great. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. The food came out quickly. I had been wanting to try the Hibachi Pit since it opened a year ago. My husband and I decided to check it out for a casual date night last Saturday night. We arrived around 5:30 and it was already starting to become packed with diners. Our server was fantastic and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. Since the portions are huge, we decided to share the chicken and shrimp combo with half rice and half noodles. We chose yum yum sauce and mustard sauce, but they were out of mustard sauce. I tried the teriyaki instead and it was good, but also very salty. Overall, I thought the meal was just ok. Nothing I feel the need to run back to anytime soon. read more

My family and I went to the Hibachi Pit this past week to try out the new restaurant which is undergoing a "soft opening". At this time, they are not taking reservations. It is first come first serve. Online, it shows that they are open from 11 AM - 3:30 PM for lunch and from 5-9 PM for dinner, Wednesday through Saturday, and from 11 AM to 6 PM on Sunday. We went on Friday and had to wait about 20 minutes for a table to seat 4. We arrived right at 5 PM just in time for dinner; however, the parking lot was full and there were people waiting for tables. This was baffling since the website shows they close at 3:30. Once we were called for our table, we entered a restaurant that reminded me of an outdated bar/bbq restaurant. This restaurant used to be Barcos (), which I absolutely despised. Once we were seated we were greeted by a chipper waitress. I totally forgot her name. She took our drink and appetizer orders. As we were waiting, we noticed more people waiting for seating. It was chaotic and cluttered with people standing. Our drinks came out in 5 mins and the appetizers followed within 10 minutes of ordering. We started with the pork eggs rolls. Two egg rolls come per order. They were medium in size. They weren't hot and definitely do not match the egg rolls from Chinese restaurants. They were decent though. Would I order again, no. Next, we tried the veggie spring rolls. About 6 come per order. The spring rolls were definitely better than the egg rolls. I would order them again. Our entrees came out in about 20 minutes after ordering. My sister-in-law had the steak hibachi with white rice. She ordered the steak well done but saw some pink in her steak which turned her off. She did eat the pieces that were completely cooked and said the steak was average. My mother-in-law ordered the shrimp hibachi. She said it was really good. My hubby ordered the shrimp and chicken hibachi. He liked his food as well and stated that he would order it again. When I ordered the Korean Pepper Steak (ribeye), I was warned that it comes out on two plates because it is a lot of food. I was starving and that is what I wanted. The food came out and looked great. And it was a lot of food. I started with the sweet carrots. They tasted like they came from a can, but they were sweet. Next, I tried the fried egg and fried rice. It was just average. I was expecting some bold flavors but it just tasted like rice and eggs. Next, I tried the Korean Pepper Steak. Again, it was just average. I could definitely taste the pepper on the steak, but that was about it. Once more, I was expecting to taste some bold flavors or some great Korean marinades, but I was left disappointed with the mediocre flavors. Ratings: Egg rolls - 3/5 Spring rolls - 4/5 Steak hibachi with white rice - 3/5 (Sister-in-law rating) Shrimp hibachi with fried rice - 5/5 (Mother-in-law rating) Shrimp and chicken hibachi with fried rice - 4/5 (Hubby's rating) Korean Pepper Steak (ribeye) - 3/5 (My rating) Customer service - 5/5 Restaurant decor - 2/5 Overall rating is a 3.6. I will go back once they launch the restaurant fully to provide a more accurate reading. At this time, I would recommend this restaurant to those looking for average food at a decent price. You get a lot of food, but don't expect anything to blow you away. read more

Waited nearly on hour (although that was peak dinner time on a Sat night). Hostess seemed new and didn't really know how to handle the crowd. Service was pretty slow and they serve food with plastic cutlery. Kinda hard cutting steak (that was too large to eat in one bite) with a plastic knife. My steak was also overcooked. They suggest medium but it came out med well. Suggest cooking one temp lower than you usually eat it. Shrimp was much better and the best thing on the plate. Food was OK taste wise... about usual Fast Japaenese taste but it was SEVERELY overpriced! $20+ per plate plus drink and tip. Should be half that or maybe $12 per plate for mediocre Japanese food. Portion size was great but again overpriced. read more

COME HUNGRY! The portions are very large but the Fried Rice! Oh my! This has to be the best fried rice I've had. Just like the smoke pit, they know how to cook meat! Everything is perfectly seasoned and prepared. The steak! The shrimp! Perfect. The booth seating is low and it makes the tables kinda high; go for the high top tables. Heard great things about this place so I stopped by for lunch and although the signs on the door say no takeout, it's based on how busy they are. I ordered a veggie egg roll and a combination salmon/scallop hibachi with rice and noodles(so I thought) and mixed veggies.
