If I could give this company 10 stars I would! I just had the best experience with E & K Contractors! My sewer line back up, water wasn't draining quick enough. So water draining from my washer backed up into the kitchen sink and out from under my toilet! Scared I was going to be in major trouble with the sewers I spoke to Bob at E&K. Not only did he put me at ease with the procedure but reassured me when they put a camera in to see what's going on, it stays between E&K and me. Anyone who knows about the sewer issues in Maumee will understand why this is so important. Over 2 1/2 hours to clear my sewer line of mainly tree roots! Even better news my sewer line is fine! If you were at the Elk's meeting regarding the Maumee sewers, Damien spoke on behalf of E&K and handed out brochures with information, along with offering free inspections. I had a broken pipe in my basement and needed It repaired ASAP. I called E & K Contractors (on a holiday, of all things), and they were able to send a tech out to troubleshoot the problem that same day, and fix it completely the very next morning! E & K came out and replaced bout a 10 to 15 ft of cast iron sewage line that had broke. The line ran from the pvc inside the house, through the foundation block to the sewer connection. Contacted E&K over two weeks ago (10/2/2020) to hire them to do a sewer line inspection with video for a house I am hoping to purchase. They came promptly and verbally told me the entire line would need to be replaced. I asked for a written report and footage to show the sellers, and was assured this would be no problem. After several days, I had still received nothing, so contacted the office via their website contact. Still nothing. I followed up at a week post inspection and spoke with someone in the office twice. Finally, a week and a half later I was told there was an error at the inspection and video had not been captured. I was assured they would come back 10/16 to video the line and get the footage to me, along with a written report I could give to the seller. As far as I'm aware, they still have not come back. I e-mailed and texted my contact (10/19) just to verify someone had come by and have still heard nothing as of 10/20. As with most home purchase contracts, there is a limited time allowed for inspections. E&K was aware of this, and yet could not even communicate well enough to indicate that they would not be able to perform the service for which I initially contacted them (a sewer line inspection with video). Had they done so, I would have been able to reach out to another company for inspection. A really frustrating situation all around, especially since I would have been happy to give them my business based on their reputation alone had they done the very bare minimum. read more
