Called ACE Plumbing for repair on some leaking pipes, garbage disposal and outside spigot. Jason and Ian were punctual, courteous, professional and completed all of the work in a fairly short amount of time. They made sure to let me know that if I had any issues at all with the work they had performed to call and they would take care of it immediately. This is my first Yelp review because quite honestly, I just don't bother. However, their service was so exceptional that I chose to take the time to leave a review. TL/DR; Two tasks were needed. One was priced fair but high and the other the technician made a mistake. But Ace plumbing made it right. I left a voicemail and sent an email to Ace for 1) a Washer hot water shutoff valve leaking by with the hose stuck on there and 2) a dripping Moen shower faucet. I received a call back from Josh looking to schedule a guy to come out that day. Not being able to accommodate and coordinate such a quick availability, Josh communicated with me via text to schedule an appointment a couple days out. The technician, Jason, was available early and arrived early to the rental property, they did wait with little issue for my wife to arrive on time and let him in. He quickly took a look at the two areas and gave me a price over the phone of $325 for to replace the whole washer valve box and 450 for the upstairs faucet. I was surprised and disappointed when he said he had to replace the whole faucet. I did research ahead of time and had actually planned to replace the Moen cartridge myself, he said he could not identify the faucet (even though I did) so didn't quote that option. Since I had already bought the cartridge, I asked if he can just replace it. He said he can try and it would be $150 (high in my mind, but fair) if it works and $50 if it doesn't. I gave approval for both jobs. He completed the faucet cartridge change in like 5 minutes (according to my wife) so the price was definitely high. I say it's fair though because it could have been seized in there and taken longer. Business have to quote high here and there to ensure they maintain a profit over all jobs by expecting some to have issues. For the Washer, they did confirm that they needed to cut off the hose that was stuck on there. Unfortunately, Jason cut off both hoses, where the good one was actually property of the tenant. I understand that this was an honest mistake to be efficient but, in my opinion, was still wrong on his part. I communicate the issue to Josh and they agreed to replace the incorrectly cut hose. My research shows $325 was a fair price for this job. Both jobs I consider high priced because Toledo is a low cost of living area, but I would rather pay fair/high for good service and a company who stands behind their work than one who doesn't. Had several plumbing related issues: leaking T pipe, two shut off valves for a sink that needed replaced, and cold/hot water lines that needed swapped for a second sink. Called Ace Plumbing and Josh answered and got me scheduled for a couple days later, as it was not an emergency and we could wait. He was very nice and professional on the phone as well. We were given a two hour window that someone would be there and they said someone would call when they were about 30 minutes out. Jason called almost exactly 30 minutes out said he was on his way. Once he was at our house, he provided an estimate and got to work on the issues. I think for those three issues it maybe took him about an hour and half at most. He was very nice and all the work he did appears to be holding up well. Lastly, there was another issue with a faucet we had that we could take care of ourselves, but he took the time to tell me what we needed to get and how to fix it, which was great. Every aspect of their service is exceptional! I've had work done by this company and also had them out for a quote a second time. Would have hire them for the second job, however it turned out to be a roofing issue. The guy that came out ruled out plumbing issues and stated it may be a roof issue and to call them out. I have used this company twice now (once for plumbing and once for gas line) and have been impressed both times. I had a different service man both times and they both not only did the job but explained things to me. They were also very friendly...something that I have not experienced with plumbers in the past. I called Ace due to their rating on Yelp. They answered right away compared to my first two choices. Said he would be out and would call 30 minutes prior to arriving. He did just that. My husband has PTSD and was home for the day. The problem I was having was I needed my dishwasher installed and lines changed. He quoted me $225 and I felt that was a little high. Due to the lack of contact from anyone else I attempted to reach and need to have the dishwasher installed and out of the middle of my already small kitchen, I agreed to the job. He was in and out in less than two hours and told my husband that if I gave him a 5 star review on yelp he would knock $25 off the cost, which I find a little odd, especially since I called them specifically based on the reviews as no one I know has heard of them. Then he took all parts he replaced (hoses, tubes, and everything else) with him even after we requested they be left behind. He asked my husband to leave the kitchen even though he was just trying to learn and maybe pick up a little knowledge of the process. I was then told the work that was done was only under "warranty" for 7 days. I have never heard of such a thing. Regardless of all that, my dishwasher is working as far as I know, I have my kitchen back and can relax now that things are back to normal. We had a lot of things that we needed to have done to our house. We needed a new water heater, a new kitchen faucet and sink installed, a new bathroom faucet installed, 4 stops under the sinks installed, 2 valves replaced and a water line to the refrigerator ran. We had all these things done within the past 2 weeks. When it rains, it pours and all was long over due to be replaced. After checking out reviews on various websites, I called Ace and Josh sent Jason out to install everything and give estimates each time we needed him.
