His crew came in a Sunday, spent about 11 hrs here, digging the trench thru the yard to the French drain by the public sidewalk. They seemed to be working well all day. Next morning, we had water again in our basement!! We called/text Mike & he was going to come right out- he said "about 20 mins"! He NEVER came! We don't even know if the pump installed is a NEW one as quoted- we received NO information about it like a warranty or product information from Mike. We continued to text/call over the next 3 days! At one point, he showed us a pic of a hospital wristband saying he was in an accident. Ok- sorry- just COMMUNICATE that! On day 3, I had enough! I text him vs. hubby, and said we need him to FINISH the job! The yard was to be seeded per the quote; the area they were working in was a mess- bags left behind; empty water bottles, etc. AND they threw concrete in my recycle bin!!!! Half my bin was full of concrete !!! Had to ask Republic for a new one- $25! Smh!!! ‍

The fan bearing had gone out and they did not fix, yet the he stated I had to tell their tech that I wanted it fixed. ? Seriously? I have to direct their technicians, even though I have been paying close to $500 annualy for their VIP program? He later wanted to reimburse me for the VIP and NOT fix the problem to avoid taking care of it. After a final legal threat, a tech was sent out to replace. They have no after hours support even though they claim to. Their on-call tech was sick when we called. He could not reach his backup or the Serv Mgr. Extremely poor management in my opinion. I contacted another Carrier HVAC company and they came out immediately as I smelled something foul in the house. They discovered that poisenous gases were in our house from a plugged heat exchanger. This same heat exchanger and model had a Class Action from over 20 years ago which Pugh did not notify me of or take advantage of. They had waited too long and compensation for a replacement had expired, now. This is inexcussable to allow to happen on Pugh's part. Thankfully, we have seperated and I now have a new furance and a company that I can trust my life with.

It has been 2 weeks since my dog and I woke up to a colder than normal home. I always turn the…read morethermostat down to 60 before we go to bed but I could tell it was colder than that. I checked the thermostat and it read 56. I let my dog out and changed the batteries in the thermostat. Then I put the temp up to 70 and nothing. I put ut up to 75 and still nothing. I let my dog in snd called Glass City. I got a recording telling me yo leave a msg. I begged and pleaded for someone to come out because I am in my 70s and it was the 2nd day of a cold spell that was going to last at keast a week. I got a callback ftom the tech on call. I explained my problem and he said he would be here around noon. Meanwhile, I went to Home Depot and got 2 ceramic tower heaters and plugged one in when I got home. I received a msg that the tech was on his way. He arrived around 12:15p. I had already removed the folding door that covers the furnace area snd he proceeded to take the cover off and check all of the connections. I sat in my chair while he looked over my furnace. There was a code that said High Ignition. He found a small black hose that was disconnected from where it belonged so he reconnected ut and then saw done sending water in a pipe and blew into it. Then he fid z couple of other things and restarted the furnace. It started up snd went through it's stages and heat started coming out of the vents. I cried because I was soooooo happy I wasn't going to have to go somewhere until it could be fixed. The technician was really respectful and informative. He stayed a little bit to be sure the furbace was going yo continue running. It took almost 2 hours for it got up to the temp i set it at. It was the best $150 I spent. Of course, I was kind of leary for the next week, listening to the furnace and hearing it run through it's stages. I live in a very small house and i know every doubd tge furnace is suppose to make and do far do good it hasn't let us down. I am so, so, happy that Glass City was able to come on the same day and that the fix was one tgat didn't require any parts that could have delayed it working. My dog and I are happy, warm, and cozy Glass City customers!!!​
