The technician came and did not replace the flame sensor he did clean the flame sensor piece of sandpaper which took less than 10 minutes and left me the sandpaper and basically charged me $110.00 for less than 10 minutes of work to clean a less than $10 part and did NOT even change out the defective flame sensor. $110.00 for less than 10 minutes of cleaning a $10 part and a piece of sandpaper is what I got from J&K heating and cooling RIP OFF of the century.

I thought the issue was resolved but a little over a month later, my area got a lot of rain. My entire basement flooded. I spent 3 days using a subversive pump to pump out the water. I called a plumber who recommended me to Sewer & Water Specialist. It turns out the 1st company temporarily fixed the issue. They did not resolve the main issue. Richard & Dave at Sewer & Water Specialist used a hydro jet to clear my main sewer line and used a camera to figure out the main problem, which was roots at the tap of my line. They cut the roots out to help prevent reoccurrence of the problem, at least for a while. They were a lot cheaper than the 1st company. Richard gave me a detailed explanation of my problem and used a camera to figure out the problem. I can use all my sinks and bathrooms now without things backing up in my basement. I am extremely grateful for this company.

They were despondent for months and when we finally were able to schedule a day, the crew were unable to find someone to perform a ground inspection. The city of Livonia apparently needed 24 hours notice to get an inspector out to the job- seems like they should have looked into that prior to arriving, no? They then told us they couldn't do the job. We had taken a vacation day from work to be available, not to mention we had waited months to have this work done. Understandably, we were hoping to find a way to make it work. We called Sewer and Water Specialists (Monroe) and spoke with Kim. She told us that she had never heard of that before and that the township was in the wrong because they schedule this type of repair 20 times a day and have never encountered this issue. We asked if we could call the township directly to try to request an inspector and she sarcastically wished us good luck and explained that they never do that. We called the city of Livonia. Guess what- they did do that. So an hour and a half of this nonsense later, the crew stayed to do the job and had to work double time to get it done before the inspector arrived at 3- all because they were set up for failure by their back office support. But the crew was very polite and truthfully did great work. They took special care not to kill our plants and not once that day did they show frustration for the several miscommunications that occurred that morning. Thank you to the crew for your help- Don, Scott, Amber and Kenny. Here's to hoping this review will encourage better customer service or at least the utilization of Google calenders or Excel spreadsheets to help facilitate better planning and organization.

They were hired for all air vents and a dryer cleanout on a 2,000 sq. ft. house, and particularly a bad smell coming in the laundry room. On the day of the cleaning Chris and Lee arrived during the agreed upon time window. I showed Lee around the house to the various vents and asked questions about the places I couldn't fully clear a path to the vent. The house's vents hadn't been cleaned during the time I've owned the place so it needed significant work. The same applied for the dryer. The cleaning took roughly 3 hours. I think they did a good job and made sure to take care of cleaning any messes their work caused. The one exception was the dryer blow-out which was left under the outdoor vent. My single gripe was that the final price ended up $100 over the original quote without discussion. However, it was clear that they had a lot of work to do that couldn't have been known without taking a look at things.

[NOTE: Just FYI - This says I'm from CA, but I live in SE Michigan] I have been working with Complete Home Comfort for several years - first as a home renter, with a landlord who wouldn't replace an old, poorly performing air conditioner. The guys at CHC came out every year at my request and did their best to help me limp through another summer with the old AC. When I purchased my own home, I chose them to replace a very, very old furnace - and they didn't disappoint. They were prompt, efficient, personable and professional. They returned this summer to replace the very, very, very old air conditioner and each of the men who came to the house was nicer and more helpful than the one before. They take the time to explain the situation, options, pricing, etc. Just yesterday, Kalim came out to service the furnace and he taught me how to order and have auto-delivered the filter every 6 months - and how to swap it out myself. He was very patient and kind. From the person who answers the phone to the notices about "on the way" arrival time - to pricing and quality of work - Complete Home Comfort is a business I trust. We had a new furnace & a/c package installed last August bec ause our original a/c had stopped working. James & Jim came out on a Sat. morning and did the switch out from old to new. They were done around 2:30 that afternoon, everything cleaned up and hooked up. I had them install a WI-fi thermostat so that I can monitor the temp when we are not at home. James submitted the rebates to my utilities companies. Late Dec I checked the thermostat (we had been out of town for a while) and discovered that my furnace had been running all day! I got a hold of James and he came out right away and met my granddaughter and solved the problem. We did not really use the a/c after it was installed because it never got hot. This year we are using it all the time and I just received my electric bill and it is at least 50% less than what it would have been with my old unit and the house is cooler also! Initiated a service call around 2pm, my furnace caught fire. James Knott ( Service Engineer) arrived on time, with a mask. He assessed the damage and reviewed the options I had. They no longer make parts for my furnace so replacing the wire harness wasn't an option, it was rewire or replace furnace. James rewired what was needed, replaced the fuse, and the unit fired up. I have had 2 companies out previously to access my furnace, neither offered to rewire or tell me parts were no longer available, it was replace furnace. James never guaranteed if this fix would work or pressure me into replacing the entire unit. When it does go, I will be calling James at Complete Home Comfort. FYI, I WAS ONLY CHARGED THE INITIAL SERVICE FEE WHICH WAS HALF OF WHAT THE OTHER 2 COMPANIES CHARGED AND DID NOTHING. GOD BLESS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS read more

Wow! What outstanding customer service. My water heater went out late at night, I called Complete Home Comfort first thing in the morning. They were able to fit me into their schedule immediately. Which meant I didn't have to change my weekend holiday plans and I didn't have to adjust my work schedule to much. I was so impressed with the service I received; I was fortunate that they were able to come out the same day that I called. My ac unit was checked, but it didn't lead into a sales pitch; I appreciated that he took the time to check the equipment we'd called about, but then also took the time to ask questions about our home and what else we were experiencing or worried about so that he could provide us with the best information and service possible. Honest, caring and considerate. The reality is I know NOTHING about air conditioners or heater (and in my 70+ years have never taken a HVAC class, go figure!!) so I am at their mercy. After talking to Jeff, I knew we had the best company for the job. The service tech was prompt, courteous and professional. I can not write a higher star review because if I could, I would. He even made sure that our A/C, furnace and blower were all set up correctly. I called around 10 HVAC companies to compare service charges. Several places will not reveal their hourly rates which scared me. Air Comfort Pro charged $80 to come out on the service call. This price is about average. However their hourly service rate is only $30, and their charge for freon is only $25 per pound. That is less than half all the other places I called! Happy to support an Allen Park resident too.
