Just needed a qualified electrician to hook it up. Tried several electricians in my area and they were not interested as they had never done such a job. Generators Plus also had never done such an install, but they were willing to try. That was very important, of course. During the install they were having difficulty getting the desired connectivity. Following much anguish & many discussions with Ford, Ford sent a new charging unit. So the brand new unit Ford had originally shipped me was defective. Most would not think a new device was defective, but Generators Plus was able to determine this. When the replacement charger was received, they had everything working well rather quickly. I was impressed that they were willing to do the job, they figured out that Ford had sent me a defective unit, and they were very polite, cleaned up their work and were just as friendly as could be.

We bought only a few years ago and have discovered similar instances around the house, not just with electrical. Anyway, it was easily explained to me the situation and a few clear decisions were explained as well by the technician from Cousino. The guy was professional, easy going, not trying to oversell anything, but coming at it from a "looking out for you" kind of manner. Unfortunately, my project just became a little less simple and I expected that to reflect in the price too. I'll say this, the job was done quickly, everything looks great, I feel confident in the work and safer knowing why he had to do what he did. The best part was the price was completely reasonable! Any questions we had were answered promptly and thoroughly. Our job took 2 days. Bill and his apprentice arrived promptly at 8am to start. Walked us though what they were doing. Double check with any specifics and answered all questions we had thoroughly as well as providing suggestions and input. Their promises of potential utility savings are understandably vague, Our 35 year old home is well insulated and with quality windows, does not have ducts passing through unheated crawl space or attic. Month to month and even year over year it is hard to precisely measure energy use and savings because each season and year has varying temperatures. However, overall after three years of experience, I believe that sealing ductwork improved our comfort and HVAC efficiency and it was a good longterm investment.

In November 2024, I called a well-known sewer cleaning company because sewage was backing up into…read moremy basement. They used hydro jet on my main sewer line. I thought the issue was resolved but a little over a month later, my area got a lot of rain. My entire basement flooded. I spent 3 days using a subversive pump to pump out the water. I called a plumber who recommended me to Sewer & Water Specialist. It turns out the 1st company temporarily fixed the issue. They did not resolve the main issue. Richard & Dave at Sewer & Water Specialist used a hydro jet to clear my main sewer line and used a camera to figure out the main problem, which was roots at the tap of my line. They cut the roots out to help prevent reoccurrence of the problem, at least for a while. They were a lot cheaper than the 1st company. Richard gave me a detailed explanation of my problem and used a camera to figure out the problem. I can use all my sinks and bathrooms now without things backing up in my basement. I am extremely grateful for this company.

I'm leaving three stars because the crew that came to fix the sewer line were FANTASTIC, but our…read moreexperience scheduling the service was a nightmare and merits ZERO stars. They were despondent for months and when we finally were able to schedule a day, the crew were unable to find someone to perform a ground inspection. The city of Livonia apparently needed 24 hours notice to get an inspector out to the job- seems like they should have looked into that prior to arriving, no? They then told us they couldn't do the job. We had taken a vacation day from work to be available, not to mention we had waited months to have this work done. Understandably, we were hoping to find a way to make it work. We called Sewer and Water Specialists (Monroe) and spoke with Kim. She told us that she had never heard of that before and that the township was in the wrong because they schedule this type of repair 20 times a day and have never encountered this issue. We asked if we could call the township directly to try to request an inspector and she sarcastically wished us good luck and explained that they never do that. We called the city of Livonia. Guess what- they did do that. So an hour and a half of this nonsense later, the crew stayed to do the job and had to work double time to get it done before the inspector arrived at 3- all because they were set up for failure by their back office support. But the crew was very polite and truthfully did great work. They took special care not to kill our plants and not once that day did they show frustration for the several miscommunications that occurred that morning. Thank you to the crew for your help- Don, Scott, Amber and Kenny. Here's to hoping this review will encourage better customer service or at least the utilization of Google calenders or Excel spreadsheets to help facilitate better planning and organization.
