Reminiscent of a classic Soho-style bistro we met with old friends for lunch on Saturday afternoon. Shabby, but comfy, decor and the joint was leppin' too. Service was brisk, friendly and helpful. I had the special roasted sea bass which was pretty good, large portion, well presented with a large side of boiled new potatoes. While most of my companions opted for dessert I ordered the small (haha!) cheese board. Three cheeses, huge portion, loads of crackers etc I simply had to share it with my fellow diners. Epic! Excellent lunch rounded off with a nice cappuccino (as you do). I'll be back. Highly recommended.

We stumbled on this darling Italian restaurant just walking distance from our hotel. We came here two different evenings that's how much we loved this restaurant. We started off with Veneto Sauvignon Blanc. It was a nice Italian wine. We ordered the marinated olives and focaccia. It was perfectly seasoned and the bread had the right amount of garlic and olive oil. Simply delicious. He was such an attentive server, personable, thoughtful and gave us the best customer experience. He had a lovely Italian accent which helped with the full experience. On night two we had the Pappardelle. Another authentic Italian dinner with fish. Very tasty. We recommend this restaurant and ask for Lauro.

We got the Michelangelo: house-made red sauce, caramelized onions, goat cheese, parmesan, and basil pesto. All the ingredients were ample and in balance. I liked that the parmesan was added after the baking as large shavings, and the pesto was attractively piped on in large circles. The 12 inch size along with the salad was just right for lunch. The salad was perfectly tossed with the Caesar dressing which wasn't disagreeably heavy as some can be. It included plenty of seasoned croutons and parmesan shavings. It was on the menu as Chicken Caesar Salad but I ordered it without chicken, thinking that the plain was also available and for a smaller price. It turned out to the be the same price. My mistake, or theirs? Not sure but no matter. To drink I had a Rosé Prosecco which was nicely bubbly. Sometimes sparkling wines by the glass can be flat, but not here. The room was attractive, with neutral tones and brick, and decorated with artwork and framed photos. Service was fast but not rushed, so we were able to relax for a bit, have a great lunch, and have plenty of time left in the day to continue our exploration of Dublin City Centre. The "Good Food Ireland" designation means that Pacino's has been certified as using local, sustainable ingredients. I like that. I learned this from https://goodfoodireland.ie/about/ Looking at the full menu I'd have no hesitation coming here for a more complete meal and trying some of the many Italian standards, maybe finishing with a Nutellotto Pizza or gelato (several flavors available) for dessert.

The apple pie was fine, but not life changing b/c the apple filling was too pasty and not fresh. Service is the thing that stops me from giving this place a 5 star. No one checks whether you've been seated / taken care of yet; I had to go up to a waitress after minutes, only for her to tell me to continue to wait when there were barely any customers. Once seated, it was hard flagging someone down still. Interior is nice though and spacious.

In the same vein as my other beloved Dublin food hall, Fallon & Byrne, Listons has a wide selection of charcuterie, cheese, nuts, pastas, tea, chocolates and wine. I chose a tomato basil soup and a tuna, cheddar and sundried tomato panini for lunch and ate it picnic style back in my hotel room. The sandwich was absolutely glorious. The soup, while not incredible, was proficient. The staff at Listons also deserves a mention - they're super sweet!

I was at the blues stage were seeing an old woman being over taken by power walking younger folks whilst they listened to their i-pods lost in themselves and their outward image made me really sad. It actually brought a frog to my throat & made me slightly teary - yes it did. I started thinking about how impersonal people these days can be; yup I was in a rut. Because I have no friends I could not dial for a hug, and because hugging yourself is a rather futile action I decided to lift my melancholy with some tea. I got some mint infused tea, to give me more of a spring in my step. And to really treat myself I got the orange and coconut combination which is as delicious as it sounds. The layout of Listons makes me happy, it's warm and the staff are helpful & when you are feeling under the weather you can never ever underestimate the power of a stranger's smile.

Inside, a small but well lid out restaurant. I didn't eat here instead, whilst walking home on y birthday, husband and I decided we'd love to try it and kindly asked staff if we could just pop in for a glass of wine. They politely let us know they are typically restaurant and don't cater as a wine bar, they did put us up at a cosy place by the bar and let us enjoy that night cap we wanted. Wine list had a good selection available, various price points including some very reasonable options. Staff were pleasant and the ambience was intimate. Will certainly be back to try out their menu / restaurant service :-)
